Ace Combat: Assault Horizon

I never played an Ace Combat game in my life or any type of flying game.

first half hour was me just crashing into the ground and flipping over the controls :p

Just collected my copy yesterday having a blast playing.
I've noticed a move from long range combat to a high emphasis on close in your face sort of combat.

Edit: I pre-ordered so I got a pair of aviators, the F-4 Phantom (fun dogfighter) and the soundtrack.

Only GameSpot gave it a really low score, the rest is 7.5 above.

You mean Gamestop,not Gamespot & I think that new Ace Combat game will give great reveiws PERIOD!

Finished the game on Elite mode. Almost done finishing the campaign on Ace mode now.

To those who have pre-ordered from Game Stop - How's the F-4? The F-4 is one of my favorite jets since I used to work on one a lot back then. I regret not pre-ordering from GS earlier, but I'm over-seas right now.

Shawn and I just completed the co-op missions. Enemies suddenly started pulling fast ones on us. TGT_Leaders suddenly got a whole lot agile + they have a few non TGT targets with names that will fuck you up badly.

I would like to complete the co-op missions, but I have to stick to playing by myself for now since I do not have good internet in my house so far... Hopefully the internet store will enable the internet here soon.

Also enjoying the fact that I can use the Garuda F-15E. I loved AC6, even though the story was not the greatest.

no its not just you. I miss teh tunnel flights too. loved teh ace combat 5 one teh most since once you blew up teh target you had to get out of dodge before yrou trapped inside. and ace combat 5 had two missions where you have to fly trhough tunnels

It feels like they got everything else though.

Canyon Mission - Check
Desert, Snow, Sea, and Beach Missions - Check, check, check, and... check.
Tunnel Mission - MIA. :(

The f-14D "halloween pumpkin" and the ASF-X Shinden II (the co-creator of macross saga made this) is out. the halloween pumpkin jet is 320ms and teh shinden II is 640ms, just for teh heads up.

If I remember correctly, the F-14D "Halloween Pumpkin" color was free when I DL'd it in AC6... A little disappointed about that.

ASF-X seems like it's going to be a fun jet. Especially because it's from the co-creator of the Macross Saga. :D

Whatever that price translates to in the Playstation Store. I'm not sure about the skins, but I want the ASF-X. Hopefully it doesn't cost that much.

640MS points = about $9 on PSN.

I only like ace combat assualt horizon for its multiplayer. maybe not, not real sure. I do know that I do not like teh single player. to have to select from pre-selected aircraft for each mission, not earning creds to buy airplanes. sure I know the game itself is a stand alone from teh series, but it has many features that should not reappear in the series when they make ace combat 7. cept teh graphics, I love teh graphics in this game. another thing I do not like in this game is teh dsm/asm (in single player only, multiplayer is quite amazing). sure when you get behind a baddy or go on a strafing run its cool, till you get 2 or 3 baddies on your ass and they make you get mission fail cause you can't support yrou guys on teh ground. attack chopper missions I love, being a door gunner I hate, and going on bombing runs in a bomber I love too.

Any new news for AC?

dunno. but I miss the original ace combat storyline. TT^TT I hope there is an ace combat 7 with tons of missions and aircraft, including ones that have you fly through a cave or tunnel. maybe a bomber mission or two and nothing else.
