Ace Combat: Assault Horizon

Correction: It had horrible aerodynamics which in turn required the engineers to strap even larger engines to make it fly, the engines didn't burn very cleanly leaving a trail of smoke when both engines were burning.
Which gave birth to the saying "The F-4 is living proof that you can make a brick fly if you strap a powerful enough engine onto it" or variations of this quote.
The upside was that it had an incredible climb rate which meant that whatever it couldn't shoot down it could just out-climb not to mention it held set several speed and altitude records.
Most if not all jets are poorly armored because in essence they're just an engine with wings and guns attached, for dedicated close air support aircraft such as the A-10 are usually designed to carry some armor or be extremely resistant to damage ie. the A-10 can be flown with literally half the aircraft missing.

oh wow. learned something new today. but I knew all that stuff about the a-10. lets just hope you can fly with half of it missing in this game.

You also get it at EB games if your in Oz like me.

the limited edition of acecombat assault horizon (comes with a signed notebook and cd track, plus bonus stuff) seems cool. but as an epic bonus, its teh same price as the standard version of teh game.

@gamingnerd that limited edition is for europe only cause of the codding I think. but there might be one for the usa hopefully

okay found a site with info on teh multiplayer. Players will have four kind of aircrafts at their disposal, Fighters, Attack Aircrafts, Attack Helicopters and Bombers. Only one gametype has been mentioned. "Captial city battles" but there might be more. and it seems there is like a perk sytem like mw2 (dunnno how else to discribe it), but with a wide variety. as you lv up you can upgrade yoru aircraft to boost an area or two. not real sure, but you all can check it out. also the link has screenshoots of teh multiplayer. so go check it out.

there are alot of my favs there. alot of aircraft that I wanted to fly in a ace combat game. and lucky, there is more then double the aircraft to choose from unlike ace combat 6 ,15 aircraft. but it feel like there are some missing. like the F-5.

hopefully, there are tons of missions like ace combat 5. I think there was like between 18 to 24. not real sure since its been a while since I played it.





there is a dlc with an unknown date and a downloadable aircraft. (thats if I read it right)

Dood, a fighter created by the co-creator of Macross? Epic fighter. That'll be cool too if we had a VF-1 from the Macross saga. :D

Wait seriously? O.o OMG!!! I love robotech. if a craft made by teh co-creator of macross is putting an aircraft in the game. I will get it when it is released.

got curious as to what possible achivements will make their appearence in teh upcoming ace combat title. to my surprise, they are listed, and yet teh game has yet to be released. dunno if they are the exact ones in teh game, but they seem legit. to those who are curious like I was, the link is in the spoliers.
