Now?
Yes. I just finished updating it, and now currently redownloading karkand. Looks like it got deleted in the update process as an obligatory thing.
Actually about a week or so before the "spring patch" DICE repatched the b2k to fix the issues with the MG36 and a few other guns on the B2K maps, the glitch where the gun would be stuck above your head and you could only hip fire.. or errm skull fire? lol
They announced that it would eventually be a mandatory re-download, thus why you had to download it a second time when you patched BF3.

Theres some things that i think are a little over the top but over its a good patch.
I feel suppression is really over the top now, especially when your running as a recon with a bolt action rifle. If your being counter sniped dont expect to pull off any mid to long distant head shots with ease. Aside from that i dont mind the suppression to much, i always burst fire so it hasnt really affected my accuracy with assault rifles or carbines to much.
My friends who prefer PDW's are really suffering though as there used to spraying and hip firing.
The bipod fix seems to have buffed them to, I dont see why they needed a buff as they were pretty awesome before but its not an unwelcome change either.
I love the new SKS damage now, its max is like 39, at close to mid range 2-3 shots will get the kill. It has almost 0 recoil now and is pretty accurate. Put on a flash suppressor and its pretty much a semi auto laser beam, its that accurate. I run it with iron sites but i prefer it without the flash supp. Despite it being slightly better with it.
Ive seen alot of people using it though... im afraid it might become the new USAS12/Frag when it comes to people complaining on battlelog.
Im not a huge fan of Tanks being destroyed easier. It wasnt that difficult to bring them down with well cordinated players. The only monkey wrench was if a tank had an additional engineer constantly trailing it with a repair torch, but that was an issue of the torch and not the Tank. So im not sure why Dice decided to nerf both the tanks and the torch, when the torch nerf was sufficient.
Mav/Soflam deployment system is a really welcome change. It took getting used to but now Im not longer vulnerable for 1-2 seconds while deploying them.
Air superiority= Wasnt really addressed in the patch, yeah there were changes put in to try and help but i feel it didnt really change the situation at all. An ace scout or attack pilot can still devestate a team despite the team being full of javs/stingers and soflams.
Over all the little things are what really made this patch awesome. Like being able to leave in the scoreboard, server rentals for console players so on and so forth.

Yeah suppression is now pretty stupid.
Speaking realistically, Suppression is not supposed to blind you or reduce your accuracy to nothing.
I got 2 suppression ribbons in one match lol..which never happened to me, and when I think that suppression ribbon is the hardest thing to get besides nemesis and Mcom defender.

Guys did you notice the RPK-74m had the extended magazine which increases its clip size to 200. Was it really intended to be like that or is it a bug? I'm using it right now coz its really awesome since you can reload fast with a 200 clip size faster than the machineguns.

Birgir Páll is awesome!
And i didn't even know that anyone played Bf3 in Iceland.
It came as a pleasant surprise.
I am now proud to be Icelandic!
ÃŒsland FTW!

The general consensus in both of the clans i run with though is that its a bug.

Just installed the update and was about ready to start playing a few rounds of Rush. Then I saw the shortcut packs in the BF store... Lost all will to play the game.

Im against cash shops as well and usually dont like playing games that have them.
But in BF3 it is fairly different then the common fare you would find like in a MMORPG. Often then not cash shops in mmorpgs get you items that can only be obtained by the shop rather then worked for. somtimes these items are stronger then the kind you can grind.
In BF3 its different all the items for sale are guns you will eventually get so it doesnt really make that much of a difference, and honestly you cant really tell if a person who killed you had purchased the pack(s) or not. Unless there like level 1 with an as val or something lol.
Over all its barely impacted the game at all, so dont worry :)

What bothers me about this is the fact that I'm already a Colonel and had unlocked every gun except the MK3A1 shotgun (need the vehicle kills). Also, the annoyance of getting my ass blasted across the walls by an AA12 was somewhat lessened by the fact that the guy killing me had, in fact, EARNED that weapon and him killing me with it was a result of his efforts. Now, if I get killed in a similar manner, it's much more likely that my killer (or his parents, which is even worse) had actually bought the gun used to kill me and had effectively beaten me with money.
That's just how I see this, anyway.
At least with buying guns on ME3, I thought it was okay due to it being strictly co-op multiplayer. That, and the fact that the items given in the packs were also randomized.

Given the buff to the lower and starter weapons, as well as the rounds they use i would say i dont mind getting killed by like a G3 because honestly in most circumstances the a AN or F2k probably would have too.
Its not that noticable and honestly the first thing that enters my mind when i die is to tell my squad mates that i just died at "x" location and how many enemies are coming my way. Rather then focusing on enemy level, what weapon there using and if they were high enough to earn it or low enough to have bought it.
The only thing it impacts is pride, the game is still the same which is fine with me :P

It's not so much a balancing issue with me, as it is that I now feel that all my work to unlock those guns essentially boil down to saving myself a few bucks. I spent a lot of time trying to raise my rank just to see what the next gun was and to finally try it out for myself once I got it. Hell, I got genuinely excited whenever I got close to unlocking the G3. At the time, I've never seen anybody else use it, and yes, I did feel rather proud being one of the few to have that gun at their disposal. As for working to unlock the air radar for my jet. I went through HELL to get that. After being shot down by high-level enemy jets mere seconds after takeoff, constantly having someone riddling my tail with bullet holes, and having to rely solely on the 20mm canon to kill enemies on the ground, I'd be lying to say I wasn't a little bit proud of my progress in the game. But now, the weapon/class/vehicle shortcuts just seem to cheapen the whole experience for me. I mean, why bother working for your weapons/upgrades when you can just spend a few dollars to catch up with the guys that have been playing the game since launch?

Because at the end of the day you can continue to choose to work for it instead of dropping the money for it. That hasnt been changed, its only cheap if you choose to partake in it. Someone else buying there way to the top should not devalue the work you have done.
Ofcourse that is if you dont let it. If you dont pay attention to it nothing will change in the game.

I'm sorry, but I'm still just really hung up on this. It feels to me that I just finished building a really high-quality model that took me weeks to work on. Then, the same company that sells the model kit suddenly decides to start selling them completely pre-assembled, with argueably better detailing than my own work. May not be the best metaphor, but I can't be the only one that's bothered by this, right? I mean, I've seen the shorcut DLCs getting 1.5 out of 5 ratings on the XBL marketplace.
