It's even weirder when you realize who Travis Willingham and Laura Bailey respectively voice in Fullmetal Alchemist! XD
Unfortuantely, I found no appropriate pictures for this situation.
Really? Haha That's pretty cool. Actually I found out some really interesting info on the game, and on why some people think Vinny-boy looks like immortal Spike Spiegel.
Taken from TV Tropes "Catherine" Page
"Relationship Voice Actor: Subverted at first with Koichi Yamadera and Norio Wakamoto who previously voiced Spike and Vicious."
So yeah, for those who see it, Vinny-boy's visual design wasn't just somewhat inspired by Spike, but is in fact a visual homage to him, going so far as to (in the Japanese dub) cast Spike's voice actor. Nifty huh?
DON'T LOOK UP WHO KOICHI YAMADERA VOICES IN THE GAME UNTIL YOU BEAT IT, BECAUSE IT MIGHT SPOIL IT FOR YOU.
Other voice acting factoids in Catherine
"-Troy Baker and Laura Bailey who were Snow and Serah, Excalibur and Maka, Kanji and Rise, and Nagi and Evangeline in the first series are Vincent and Catherine in this game.
-Laura and Michelle Ruff are rivals in this game, just like Chun Li and Crimson Viper.
-Hell, most of the Black Knights are out for Vincent's blood...
-Another one for the Japanese dub, Vincent and Katherine are Kaji and Misato."
Seems like there's a lot of layers that went into choosing the VAs for both the English and Japanese releases. Oh, and the English VAs sound great in the demo.

I was actually pretty impressed with the English VAs in the demo. The demo in general is wanting me to want to know more about the game.
The guy that talks over Vincent sounds like Goku from DBZ too...

He did? It doesn't say so on his Wiki. Cool, though! Sounds like a match made in anime voice acting heaven! Seems like someone has been in a relationship with someone in this cast, be it in real life or in other stuff. XD

Got Megane?
I prob should pre-order this huh? After playing the demo I've pretty much committed to getting it, just not sure which version to get. Is there just a regular and then a special edition for this? *researches*

Dammit! I was gonna post that! XD
Yeah, I have it pre-ordered too. A friend of mine was trying to coax me into dancing in front of my camera in those bothers, but she said doing that Panda Neko dance would be best.
Either way this swag is fantastic

It recently got a 9.0 score on IGN.
I'm stunned to see IGN (IGN hater) give a Japanese game such a highscore with hardly any complaints (Video)

Demo was great. I disagree with Game Informer's review of the game. 7 out of 10? I find it way more fun that that...

Secondly, no puzzle game like Catherine or Portal 2 (only other console puzzle game I can think of with an interesting plot and puzzle scheme) can get [b]boring[/i] as the reviewer summarized. Controller-gripping hard? Yes. Boring? Means a Meathead reviewed this.
_No worries. Nobody who knows gaming or the shysty bullshit that goes on with "professional" game reviewers (websites, magazines, etc) listens to the ratings anymore.
Point in case: The Halo 3: ODST fiasco. DLC-made-full price for no reason other than greed got 9's and 10s up the ass on launch and a while afterwards...until the masses realized how shit it was for 60 bucks and turned on them. The game reviewing industry was shown as the money grubbing back-room dealing crap it was, and has since lost it's credibility to gamers.
Game Informer gave the infamous Halo 3: ODST a nearly perfect score: http://www.gameinformer.com/games/halo_3_odst/b/xbox360/default.aspx

What's everyone's beef with ODST? After Combat Evolved, it's my favorite Halo game. It had a great atmostphere, awesome music, the best cast of characters in the entire franchise (Then again, I'm a Firefly fanboy, sue me), and introduced Firefight, which was loads of fun playing with my friends at the dorms. As for the Halo 3 multiplayer disk, for someone like me who trades in games periodically to purchase new ones at a lower price, I don't often (i.e. never) buy DLC map packs, so the MP disk seemed like an added bonus to me. Top it off with the Reach beta invitation and I'd say that it was well worth the asking price.
