Catherine

[color=#006FFF]I'll just post what I said on another forum about the question between Catherine or Katherine...
I was kind of on the fence for both of them, as far as who I'd choose with my first round; I was going with the mindset to go down the Katherine path the first time, before playing the game, but after I actually played it, and saw more of Katherine's personality, I was honestly thinking of just changing routes then and there. Katherine seriously comes off as a rather manipulative, slightly inconsiderate, woman to me, and she gets angry with Vincent over nothing a few times. It really started to irk me. It was only making Catherine out to be more appealing to me, because she was actually caring, and kind to Vincent. Had she known about Vincent's relationship with Katherine from the start, but still did what she did, fully aware of it all, she would have come off as a terrible person, but she was none-the-wiser, and actually a rather innocent-minded lady through and through.
Even though Katherine did show some form of concern for Vincent by texting him about watching his alcohol intake, it wasn't enough to make me see her as that great of a person.
I find the the characters in the game, and their personalities and actions, to be completely up to the player's interpretation. I saw Katherine as manipulative of Vincent, and she was pretty much only using him to get what she wanted: a family--not a great one, but a family. While I saw Catherine as more like a kid who just goes at something with the mindset of "I see something I want, I take it." and she is upfront with Vincent, caring about his thoughts and feelings on things, and enjoys talking with him.
It just depends on how you see the girls. One's own personal experience could strongly alter their opinions and thoughts on them both, and that is what I really enjoy about the games' characters. How you see them is not how everyone else might see them.
TL;DR: Catherine > Katherine, imo. Lol.

I prefer Katherine but that's because I dig the motherly glasses hottie more than the blonde bimbo slut thing...
The Immoral Beast made me throw my controller. A lot.
Took the Katherine route the first time through the game, for the second one I go for neutral.
I'm kind of in a love-hate relationship with the game. What I personally love is the whole... psychedelic experience of the game (I mean, sheep climbing blocks up a tower and making confessions?! that's something Syd Barret would come up with). But the difficulty was too much for me the first time around, I get better at it though.

So, I finally got to play this, borrowed it from a friend who already finished all the endings.
I'm playing it at Normal now just before the final stage, and seriously find people that complaining Catherine is too hard is just ridiculously. (It's different thing if we're talking about Hard difficulty or even Babel)
Anyway, I got impatient and saw the Bonus Babel Video, now I have the hots for Midnight Venus... shit..boner.
Feel free to open if you feel that Babel is just too "challenging"
BUMP EDIT
Finished my first run, with True Lover Ending, with everyone saved. NOW AIM FOR OTHER ENDINGS.

I gave up on this game long ago. It's so aggravating, especially Babel. I haven't even beaten the first level.
This is one of those games where it is NOT WORTH 100%ing

Psh, you just have to keep at it.
Babel was meant to fairly challenging.
Just take a break from it and start fresh... Or just give me your copy.

So this was only recently released in Australia. Well, two weeks ago, but still. So I haven't had a chance to pick this up. So I bought it today. Seems good. Anyone else in Australia here that picked it up recently?

Play and finished this game, there was one level I couldn't get past. fucking harder than hell and I had it on easy! I finally beat it after like 5 tries. the game was longer than warranted, though the story was amazing! I actually got the True Katherine Ending...which was what I expected. but I've also seen the True Catherine Ending and that ending is freaking weird and awesome all at the same time.

I've played it for two hours. It's much more compelling than I imagined it. Funnily enough, I'm finding myself more drawn to the Nightmare sequences than the story bits, even with the fucking beautiful HD graphics doing their thing. It's quite addictive, the puzzles. I'm gonna have to get good so I can unlock the Babel.
Tell me, has anyone played the co-op?

I did play co-op a couple, but the competitive nature in myself and my friend caused up to dick each other over when the opportunity had shown itself.

Lol, since this was bumped.
My recent play to get Katherine's normal ending went pretty awesome, seriously. I literally "one-take" the last stage, and I was playing the Japanese version too lol.
Honestly, playing that last stage without Undo makes it easier, although it's obvious that your score will be pretty low since you'll run out of chains.

I'm really enjoying the puzzle stages, and I like how the story is told... but I'm not the only one who thinks Vincest is a moron, right? Not just a moron. A genuinely unlikable piece of dickeheese...! ...why doesn't Vincest just tell Catherine he has a girlfriend? Why doesn't he tell Katherine he's sorry he accidentally slept with her? Instead of tip-toeing around with the "it's not trouble until I get caught," why doesn't he just FUCKING APOLOGIZE, and move the fuck on? I guess he's legitimately torn between Kat and Cat, but is that any excuse to LIE TO BOTH OF THEM??!
I am honestly holding out for Xatherine to appear and he can just run away with a third one.
