Have you started another playthrough, Do subsequent playthroughs have significant changes if you go Good or bad. Heard there is 8 endings so.... will it be worth the pain playing through the puzzles again?


I really hope its not one of endings where you have to play Normal/Hard mode to get the endings.

EDIT: Is it worth 60 dollars?

I enjoyed the game quite a lot. Going through my second playthrough now.

The game was difficult for me the first time through even on easy. On Normal now, and while I might die a couple times due to silly mistakes, I learned enough from the first time to make it through without much trouble. I find the Rapunzel game more difficult than the nightmares.

My only real complaint with the game is the lack of volume options. I noticed sometimes the voices were fairly quiet, while some of the sounds effects were quite loud. Particularly the high-pitched cell-phone sounds and the bell during the nightmares.

Holy crap... Is the game short or you guys just putting in A LOT of hours?

didnt really expect it to be the "exciting new wave of game" or "Game of the year" I guess if you go in expecting that i can see how you would be a little disapointed, its just a fun little interesting game, im having fun with it at least.

Same reason why I didn't like it. The puzzles didn't have anything much to do with the main plot that it gets easy to get lost. I don't regret buying it though, it's still a new experience.

I wouldn't say it's that short, I put many hours into it. The length will vary from person to person depending on how much time is put into the social gameplay in the bar and how much time it takes to solve the puzzles. There's also the Rapunzel game to beat, different endings to go for, and other game modes focusing on the puzzles.

Played it twice with the same feeling.. and it was free(nice to had friends who steal from their work) so idk if i'll buy it. It's worth the gamefly rental.

I just bought it, The Gamestop dude gave me the artbook/soundtrack for free, Dunno if its included if you buy it NEW but yeah its good.

If memory serves me right, I believe the artbook and soundtrack were the bonus materials you get for preordering the game. They probably just had a few left over and decided to give them out to whoever bought the game anyway.

I personally enjoyed the game because it had a persona "feel" to it when it came to the story and bar gameplay. The story had me hooked through the entire game and the ending I got left me feeling accomplished, although it was not the"true" one for my alignment. The actual gameplay was some of the hardest puzzles I ever had to endure, and while it is strange why they would put this type of puzzle solving element to a horror/Story driven game like this, I must say that it is one of the best, least frustrating (in comparison with some other ones I've played) puzzle games I have played, even though I don't play alot of puzzle games. All in all, if you like a unique blend of good puzzle solving along with an interesting, branched out story, this game was made for you. If I were to grade it, I would give this game a 9/10.

My, don't I sound like a wannabe reviewer? Anyway, I recommend everyone to buy and pay full price for this game if you like persona, because it will help towards the localisation of the TBA persona 5.

Well Im done playing catherine for tonight. Day 5 now... seems kinda short but the iceblock boss... seriously fuck her..... also that" steve" thing made me gasp.... been a while a game made me say" oh shit oh shit" no way.... why..... lol but yeah left me wanting more, hopefully i can sleep through the night

BTW I just learned you can go on

VERY EASY mode if you hold the "back" button on your xbox controller on the main menu if you have the golden theater highlighted. After a few seconds it'll pop a bright light indicating that you have gotten easy mode.

Very Easy Mode” may be too easy for even the sheepiest of players.

Whats with all these people receiving double copies? anyone hear of this? are they gonna be responsible for paying for a game they didnt order if by chance they cant send it back (I.E sold it traded it in opened it ect) Note: i have also received a double copy but am not touching it until i get more info.

Going for it. When I get this, first playthrough, Very Easy, second, Easy, third to fifth, Normal, and the rest on Hard. :D

I want to get this game now after hearing all about it, Next paycheck hopefully.

I've had that happen with amazon before. It usually happens when they miss read how much they have in stock. I wasn't charged for the second copy.
