Dark Souls

Good news is that it will be on pc. Bad news is that it's going to use Games for Windows Live

Beat the game then study the lore to figure out what's going to be in the expansion.


Hopefully this will be ported to the ps3/360 as either DLC or a separate disc with a convert data option.

I still don't know why I play this game. After the sixth play through you would have thought I would have had my fill of death and frustration...

Because it's fun. I poured in over 170+ hours (started in April) and it's still fun to play.

This is awesome. But to fight him in NG+7? Not prepared. Either that or I start new game.

It's gonna be hard getting back into this game after not playing it for so long.

I wish I have a good PC to play this... Guess I'll wait for the DLC.

Just created a brand new character in anticipation for the DLC.

Man, I've been playing so much DD I've completely forgotten the controls for this.

Last time i played, i just used the Bottomless Box Glitch to transfer all my stuff from my old character*NG+X8* to the new one so, i'm pretty much set for the DLC with my newly created monster SL 21 haha.

Just tried out the PC version and all I can say is that this must be the shittiest port I've ever had the displeasure to try.

Shame, I was looking forward to this.

I've played 40 hours so far, on a laptop that is actually below min CPU spec (2.2 instead of 3.0), and have had no troubles whatsoever (only lagged a little on that ice dragon fight, can't spell his name... the scaleless).

I've been using a controller, and I see no real problem with the game, aside from it being a direct port (though others have been having issues).

Well, I might be biased, and angry.

First of I'm pissed that they capped the resolution at 720p, and the resolution fix don't work for me.

And well, for controllers, yeah - It's probably better with one, the issue I have with that is that if I wanted to play the game with a controller instead of my mouse/keyboard I would have gotten the game for a console and no for my PC. I'm no fan of controllers.
    This would not be a problem if the button-mapping had been more customizable, I mean, seriously? "start" at the End-key instead of ESC? Not allowing remapping your mouse-buttons and no support for more than right/left and scroll? They didn't even take the time to change the in-game instructions to match a keyboard. "Press A" - No, press fucking Q.

Not to mention the camera-controls are horrible with a mouse.

This will probably be fixed by likeminded people who have the ability to create a simple mod, so I will check this game out again, but right now I'm very, very disappointed.

Still chugging through this one myself, damn it's tough but amazing. Not sure if I like it more than Demon's though.

PC port, not a console port. Always keep that in mind.

After almost 200 hours spent playing the game, I just realized after watching the video in the spoiler, you can modify the face when making your character... lol dayum!!! How could I not notice this? Lol.

I'm at 94 hours myself. Really enjoying myself. Pity that the Gravelord covenant is broken though The sword is great though. Apparently Darwraiths is the fastest faction to get PVP fights (if cracked orbs is anything to go by). Darkmoon is slooooooooooow.
