A.IDon't worry, there is no A.I will follow you around according to the developers.
And Co-op will be optional, whether you play alone or not :V
Read that just the other day. Man, I was relieved when I found that out.

I thought the game looked pretty good, but the co-op is a bit off-putting for me. It's a nice feature, but I don't think it really works in horror games, optional, or terrible like in RE5 or not. I didn't really find the first two scary in the first place, and having a partner to play with would completely ruin any horror it may have had.
But, all that being said, as long as they don't screw with the decapitation or overall gameplay, I'll be fine, because I'm simple like that. Plus co-op could mean a difficulty spike, which I'd be really happy about.

When I saw the E3 trailer showing the monster they encountered after crashing into the mine, I could not be helped but to think of lost planet.

Well its getting closer to the release date for Dead Space 3 (February 5th 2013)
And i have to say i have never been more excited to see this game being continued.
The first one delivered a great story line and a good few jump scares, the second one was even better and got more in depth.
What i like about it is that they added the new thing where another player can join your game and drop in and drop out whenever they please and it will not affect the gameplay.
Ugh i remember playing Gears Of War 1 and when someone joined my game and then dropped out it would restart the whole chapter over. Talk about a pain in the ass.
Anyways the only thing i dont seem to like about it (Only seeing previews and shit) is that they took Issac out of space and planted him on some planet that snows alot! xD
Now i could be wrong about that but its just what i seen.
So over all im looking forward to it and if the game lives up to the time we have been waiting for then i hope the multiplayer delivers too.
What is your guys opinion on it?
Excited? Disappointed? or Just overall dont give a shit?

I just want to finally understand how the Markers work. Or rather, why they do what they do. It seems like if it isn't trying to stop an infection, it's trying to spread it. Whyyyy.

The people from the ship have found this "Rock" on this new planet since the planet doesnt have life on it they took the rock from its original home and brought it on the ship.
While on the ship the rock begins to pollute the minds of the people on the ship some go insane while others transform into the necros.
So they send out a distress call and Issac's ship just so happens to pick it up and head out to see why they where not responding. Thus begins Dead Space.
Then after you supposedly destroy the marker, but in Dead Space 2 they said there was another Marker that had come up so your job is destroy that one too.
And on Dead Space 3..i have no idea whats going to happen.
ANd i thought the maker was destroyed for good this time.
I guess not.
But anyways this pretty much sums up the Dead Space 1 and 2.
Dead Space 1:

Dead Space 2:

The whole religious cult part of the story is pretty intense.
I played the first one on the xbox and brought the second for the PC. my small debate is which version of the game I should jump for....

Lets be honest people hate sequels, trilogies, and on going series. Why, because the story gets watered down from the original point. So I ask why will you hate an awesome solid installment such as Dead Space 3
Its because it has co-op, when you add change to a perfect series of a horror genre. I've been hearing from a bunch of gamers saying that having a partner in a horror game is a horrible idea, So what's the problem play by yourself they have that option. Plus since the infamous ending to Mass Effect 3, they think the ending will suck.
What do you think Love or hate?

Halo, Borderlands, Devil May Cry (...Sorta), Resident evil, Bioshock (people didn't like the second game that much but I loved it), Gears of war, Far cry, Portal, Splinter cell, Final fantasy, Assassins creed, Saints row, Fallout and Elder scrolls. I haven't even mentioned Playstation 3 exclusives and I'm missing a few from Xbox. Point is that the idea of sequels not being as good as the original is untrue (bullshit) in a lot of cases.
Dead space is a very good game that seems to have forgotten it's point. It traded in horror for action during dead space 2. Playing the demo you can tell that it's continuing down the same route. There is a jump scare but it was predictable. I agree that adding a co-op might dilute any horror that is left but I won't say that for sure since game developers are good at surprising the puplic.
People will bitch at anything they don't like and fail to keep an open mind about it. Example: people hated on Halo 4 when it was announced and only stopped bitching when they heard about all the effort 343 were putting in to it. Or with DmC: "Oh my god he doesn't have white hair!!" Also, Mass efect wasn't Biowares fault, EA is simply full of pricks.
I liked what I saw in the demo of dead space. Building weapons is a good idea, different dialog and cutscenes between multiplayer and single player. The focus is still on Issac. I'll buy it when I can, I just don't expect to be scared in either mode.

Yeah, I am. The first two games didn't really accomplish what I wanted them to (scare me) so I don't expect anything from this. I also have a deep hatred for sequels, regardless of whether the outcome of the game is good or bad.

I dunno... the Dead Space series so far has led me to believe that the third will just continue as a very linear and repetitive game.

[color=#006FFF]I'm in the seemingly small group that still loves the series just as much as I did from the first one, so no, I'm not going to hate three. I look forward to it and regardless of what the fanbase may think about it, I'm certain I'll love it.

So ask for it to be merged.
Back to topic. Laura Miele (Someone in EA) said that they received feedback from people who played game 1 and 2 saying that they liked it but it was scary... Yeah, I know. Anyway, she said the next step would be to add a co-op so you can share the fear. Would you have been as scared in number 1 or in any other horror game if you had someone playing next to you? I may have misunderstood what she was saying though, but what I got was "This horror game was scary so we're changing it."
I fucking hate EA.

I am hearing deadspace 3 will be having an online pass? if so will I be unable to play online co-op campaign if I should buy it used?
EDIT: To answer my question , yes there will be an online pass. Not surprising since this is ea. You will not be able to play online co-op if you buy this game used until you cough up 9.99usd for the online pass. -_- I am seriously debating on wither or not I want to finish the dead space story.
