the charger looks like he could rape you in 0.2 seconds.
also can i get a lawnmower for a melee weapon.

I could understand that, and agree to some degree, but I'll still buy L4D2.
Just as much as someone should be skeptical of video game hype, so should they be of popularized bashing and protests of games. Bottom line you just have to go with your gut.

I'm with Tsurayu here. I'm still going to buy the game regardless. The only things I don't approve of is the frying pan, incendiary bullets, and that Charger which looks fucked up. Other than that, I think the game they set up is great.

@ReidHershel: You killed this topic.
But in any case, zombies in hazmat suits will make them invulnerable to fire, so that's an interesting tweak in the game. I also think that the melee weapons might replace the pistols for it's unlimited use, but apparently you can pick up the melee weapons in game, so I'm guessing. Also, the AI director now can change the map itself, so that's an interesting gimmick. Instead of finales, the survivors have to go through a gauntlet of zombies, but I wonder how players of L4D will feel about this new development.

Hmm I'm not quite sure, are the melee weapons gonna break or something or will it just stay perfect. And what do you mean that the AI director can change the map himself?

I read that the AI director can freely change the course of the map, meaning that there won't be one set path as the AI director can close off one path and force you to take another. I read it in an article, so it's legit.

I don't like the idea of killing zombies in broad daylight, but then again it's not like they're vampires. x____x

It's also very possible (thinking of zombie biology) that the sunlight can make a zombie warm, thereby masking your own heat signature by a little since "touch" is still a sense that a zombie retains.

Hm, just does not sit right with me. The first one was supposed to have more coming for it, plus give modders a lot more freedom than they currently have. Now, about 7 months after it's release they are already making an entirely new one? Leaving the 'old' one for dead?
I don't buy it being as new, shiny, and improved as they make it sound. A few new levels- which you can already get for free from the modding community- ONE new special infected, one new weapon, and now you'll have to change weapons to do a melee attack... and they will charge you top dollar for all of it.
Now believe me when I say, I hope this game is as good, if not better, than the original... just feels like Valve is trying to milk L4D too hard...
I've joined that group Yushi mentioned a while back. As soon as someone told me L4D two was coming, I swore that no cent of my money would go near it. I mean, HL2 was almost excusable with the episodic bits. They were all new [using the same engine, but more story, more levels, it's nice I guess] but L4D2 is just too soon, too little, and I'm assuming that it will kill L4D. Yes, it has some _awesome_ things in it, but I'm not paying any money for something that is such a rip off. I think you can call them out on HL2, but not to the degree with which they are biting our legs off with this. Talking with people on TF2, I hear that lots of people hold the same ideas. We haven't gotten our moneys worth.
I am frustrated by their moves here. A friend was telling me how L4D was basically a sold Beta, and they were doing what Microsoft did with Vista, down to the selling of a product they knew was going to sink.
My two cents. Sorry for ruining the flow a bit, but I felt strongly on the matter.

We'll they knew everyone was gonna have a fit over the new L4D coming out so soon, but they said that it is going to be different. It is supposed to not just be a sequel to the last game, but a new game experience. Plus they are still supporting L4D with new content.
Alot of high quality titles are coming out faster now though. Call of Duty is now on an annual release date.

well in some way it is too soon, but anyway is just like a minor tune up from L4D so i think is not worth the money too..........=w=

I do feel that Valve is trying to put too much into this next L4D.
Pros:
+ Addition of the Spitter
+ Changed looks of weapons
+ Uncommon Common Infected like hazmat gear and riot gear
+ Gauntlet-type finales
+ Bigger maps with more routes to take
+ New Melee weapons
Cons:
- Wtf is up with the mudmen? Dumb idea to me
- Too many new weapons like the AK-47, Grenade Launcher - unecessary
- Incendiary and explosive ammo? Wtf? Where you gonna find that?
- Too many melee weapons... over 5 have been confirmed.
- The Charger... as if we haven't had enough Special Infected to worry about.
So yea, my list of the goods and bads of L4D2.

This is more of an add-on or expansion. I would have hoped that Valve went for the DLC route like Fallout 3 instead of making an entirely new sequel. I wouldn't mind paying 10-20 dollars for new weapons and maps but paying a whole $60? I know that the AI director is going to be completely revamped to be smarter and more devious but still. I think that it's too soon to be making Left4Dead 2.
Maybe it's because I'm part of the PC TF2 crew which Valve has treated so damn well but I doubt that I'm going to fork over so much money to play an expansion. It has only been what like 6 months since the first one came out?
