Excited that it's coming out. Not really excited about not having my main team being nerfed.

Zero seems fine, but Tron and Sentinel... Not so much.

Sentinel's Air Combo to OTG Rocket Punch to HSF does not work anymore. A health nerf, and some removal of his Armor properties from his S attack. Not too much to worry about him. I can always change some of that to suit

I didn't mind the Tron B assist being nerfed and I really loved Tron in Vanilla, but... Sorry to say it, but I'm giving up on Tron.

She has practically zero combo potential and her special moves are near useless. Even in the rare event that I get a corner only, rushed, simple combo I can't extend it with the beacon bomb into king kobun like I used to… her damage output isn't worth it, and the canceling boulder thing isn't as good as it sounds.

Beacon bomb just acts as a single hit and doesn't put them into a capture state unless it's the first hit of the combo.

Honestly, from what I've seen, she has a harder time getting in than almost anyone, she has among the lowest damage output in the game with her nerfs, and she has no real zoning game...

Guess I have to work on my Task/LeiLei/Spencer team since they have all seemed to be buffed or changed for the better.

So how much is gamestop giving out for MVC3 being that UMVC3 will come out soon and nobody will play the old one? I already lost 65USD on this game a couple of months ago.

I main Sentinel and that nerf doesn't bother me at all. Now it'll force me to TK Rocket Punch into Hard Drive which does more damage than Rocket Punch into HSF anyway but with more followup opportunities.

If you have the meter, from what I remember in Vanilla, you can keep TK Rocket Punch to Hard Drive until the opponent is dead similar to Sword Amaterasu to Okami Shuffle. You can still Hard Drive to HSF if it is early in the combo still, and you do get the follow up S into more if you're in the corner anyway. Sentinel is still a really good character. I do not know if it will be an X-Factor combo though or not.

I think Frank West and Trish can be new best friends. You can do Frank West's normal combo into OTG camera to super, DHC to Trish's Round Harvest and take multiple pictures. It should be a quick level 5 that way.

Most people aren't even concerned with the old one and they simply just focus on the Ultimate version. Shame.

I do not understand why people complain about UMvC3 being a disk release. No one complains about MW3 and MW2 and similar shooting games. No one seems to complain about all the expansions for various MMOs.

As for the actual game, I would love to have a tournament. From what we have been hearing, the netplay seems to be much better and West to East should not be totally unplayable. I have the game on PS3. I will have to relearn some characters though. It should be very fun. Unlearning MvC3 and relearning UMvC3 should be fun.

Yeah, I sold my copy of MvC3 the day after I heard about UMvC3 being announced. I got about $25 store credit, trading it in towards a new game. Not bad, considering that I bought the game the day after it released.

@3daysgracerules: You do know that you could've returned the game for a full refund within 7 days of purchase, right? I practically use Gamestop as a high-risk game rental store. I buy used games, try to beat them within 7 days, and then I return them for my money back. If I like the game, I occasionally just decide to keep it.

All right, well I'm going to be getting this on 360, but I would organize both systems tournaments. What does everyone say having the tournament in December, either Friday the 16th or Saturday the 17th? Gives everyone plenty of time to learn and get a stable team ready out.

Any new version of a game just outdoes the old one, especially in fighting games. Due to balance changes and adding new characters into the game, BlazBlue and the SF franchises are examples.

I just picked up Vergil. He feels a bit odds, but I think I can get used to him.
Just not sure who to add for a new third because I tend to get picky.

Depends on your playstyle, who else do you have besides Vergil? Who do you have in mind for a third?

The other characters I know how to olay for the most part are LeiLei, Chun-li, CViper, Morrigan, Jill. Then I was learning Tron, Iron Man, Doom, Dormammu, and Felicia.
