Finally completed the quest, in 17:07.

Took three tries, first two was horrible.

During those attempts, two knuckleheads wasted time by arguing about which SA is better, Great Inceadeus or Demonbind (P)......and during the hunt they kept arguing with each other; thankfully both of them left.

Third try was waaaaaaaay better than the last two, 3 competent people showed up and took the place of the last group - it was cool since one of them was a gunner too.

Gunner put Ala to sleep at least 3-5 times during the whole fight, the moment it knocked out, they rushed up and bombed the hell out of it's head.

Other than the satisfaction of killing Ala and finishing the urgent, free 70k z from the city greeter and guild master :D

Ah yes, the money. Sadly an Ala weapon is already 77777z and an extra 100+k(z) to upgrade it. No I suggest farming Ala for tails and 1 gem. If you have to get one weapon from him get the Alatreon Gleam, which is the lance. It will come handy later on, when you find a speed run city. Its worth it, getting a good amount of materials in a short amount of time is quite satisfying.

So basically make a clust set, join a speed run city, stand atop the wall, and proceed to blow up Ala?

Also, I could already make the lance, just need the money.

I was wondering if you agreed or disagreed about the point on the way capcom treats monster hunter

did that to bitch using my Dark Claw Demise and jaggi armor. Killed it with around 5 mins left.

So... I'm not the only one who noticed that I get stunned more often when using lagi armor... .-. damn I thought it was just me.

Should be fight him and repel. Fight him again then kill.

@Hokuto Couldn't really care less. I'm playing the game and I'm enjoying it so it doesn't matter to me. Although it would be nice to have it for the PS3 or Xbox.

So it would be better not to finish him off in one round?


I need 3 more dragongem. 2 for Barbarian Sharq P and 1 for Ancharius Horn Sword. After that it's jho farming.

What do people use for a clust set?

I've seen some with Barrage earrings and Jhen+ gunner armor with Rathling+(barrel), Rathling+(frame), and Agna(stock).

It' so that they can shoot all 5 lvl2 clusts in one go instead of reloading.

I don't have Barrage earrings so I use the full Jhen+ armor with the gun you listed above. I only use the Jhen+ if all of use are clusting and if it's just me then I use my Uragaan+ with the same gun.

So if I wanna clust, I should make the Jhne+ gunner set to shoot all the lv2 clusts....but all those Conqueror Seals and various annoying parts to farm for.....

The reset trick consists of what Kaduhy said, fight Caedus and repel him, then kill him on the second go. From the first time I learned of the trick, I went at it like this: Killed Caedus in one go with my best set. Take note of the time and fight him a second time. Fight him and make sure to stop before you kill him using the previous time as a guide. I would say a good time would be 3 minutes earlier than your previous time would be good to stop and wait for Caedus to go away with a repel. Then on the second go, go all out. Which should take you around five minutes depending on how it goes, Caedus does like to swim away for a while. The once his killed carve, and look at the rewards screen. If there is no gem in any of those then hit the home button and reset right on the rewards screen. Then just continue the process. When I told my brother how this works he abused it to the point where he was able to carve off two gems and get one in the rewards.

Regarding the Alatreon Clust, Kaduhy is dead right. Im surprised your not on the high HRs.
Farm them, Just go to a 51* city and suggest Rathalos and Rathian quest, people tend to die on dual Diablos. Equip a maxed armor and fight unless you're a god then wear a guild armor or a jaggi mask. From what I remember even a +10 defense can and will save you at crucial moments. After all once you get bored of killing monsters over and over again, doing speed runs can make it go away.

I'll keep that in mind. I got all the parts to forge the Jhen Gunner+ save for 1 Ian and Los plate, a couple of Seals, and some Jhen+ parts to forge it all at once.

Btw I saw the parts list for the Rathling+ frame and barrel.....10 Los plates in total!?

Also, I hunted with Kadushy today, we got owned by a Gobul (underwater) and one really big ass Barioth.

I am farming Los Plates through the Red Hot Party event. Sats, if youre on we should go and take it on.

I'd like to, but I'm only on for a few hours a day, I'm usually on between 10am and 5pm.
