The mechanics are the SAME from mortal kombat 2.They're just a bunch of noobs who started with a console rather then arcade like me.arrmagedon was good that was the last one in my opinion.others like MK.vs DCU sucked it was just a spin off.

I love this new fatality moves, awesome.
Very brutal.

The king of the hill mode is very fun and my favorite new mode its so much fun to watch your friends rate your fights.

Playing MK just reminds me how annoying Shao Khan is.You can't superman his ass, one touch and you loss half your health.but yeah the freezeball trick still works on goro.Goddamn you MK and your super tough villians.

I checked on my receipt immediately after buying it, and didn't see anything about a "Klassic Scorpion" code. I'm in the process of getting it via online with a Gamestop costumer service rep.

OT: this game is awesome, but I played online and it was laggy as hell. I still have to try out the other modes.
If anyone wants to add me, go for it (just let me know who you are), because I won't be on Fakku anymore.

I rarely got time to practice or play.Life and school is happening right now and fight up close, you always teleport and shoot projectiles.

After the previous Sunday playing MK9 for a Game Stop Tournament, the more I think of MK9, the more I kinda want to get it. The tournament was a great way to try it out first hand for the first time for me. Place 6th out 36 people with Lu Kang. It was fun, but I think I need to get the hang of the game mechanics. I'm still used to playing UMK3... Oh well, hopefully I can pick this up along with Portal 2.

If you were that good, then you'll probably enjoy it.

I've been trying to main Noob overall, he seems fit for me. The game feels like SF/MVC for some reason and tend to "super jump" and out comes the teleportation. Getting more used to the engine more and more, just need to get used to not having six buttons to attack with.

Stuff like Cage's XR ACTIVATING on a grab is weird.

I apologize for the annoying playstyle I picked up, but I'll get rid of it soon.

i bought the limited edition too but it's cost more than what tifa said.
got it for 12.800yen (around US$128).
and because it's motral kombat,japan won't make the jap ver so got no other choice to buy it.
hope i can get connected to you guys tho.

As much as i like this game i have no time to play.i think i suck at this game,it play so different compared to the ones on ps2 and arcade.

I am not impressed with online!
1)Full of noobs-they fucking spam non stop projectiles and love to teleport allot!
2)The game fucking lags OD crazy.

Yeah... Their netcode is not so great. :| That's why I'm so reluctant to even step on it. I played a friend quite a few times and we don't live that far from each other, and we lag like ass.

I was just playing and i won 4 out of 5 games i played(thank god it ain't lag that time!).I would have won all 5 but Kratos is slow but powerful and isn't the best man to use against teleporting fags.
I played 4 games with this one person all he/she keep using was noob & smoke. teleporting from here to there but i busted that person's ass with scorpion. the player keep doing the same moves over and over. teleport,shoot a projectile and repeat.I pulled off mad combos on him/her and i won.

As for the other match it was a tag team. my team was Kratos and scorpion vs sonia and reptile.kratos is good for non teleporting characters. the idiot keep shooting that slim ball and laser move which were easlity reflected by kratos's golden fleece.kratos's moves are fucking powerful. down,foward,&cross easily drains 25%of the other persons health.

1. Smoke and Raiden eat spammers alive. They have godly teleports and Smoke can parry their projectiles. He's the perfect anti-zoning character. Sub Zero is also a good choice considering you always gets a free combo is you partake in projectile wars. Nightwolf is also a good choice considering he has a reflector and his lightning is unblockable. There's plenty of ways to deal with spammers.
2. Upcoming patch will fix all of these issues. I think it's released tomorrow or Thursday (one of the testers mentioned that in a podcast)
