Just got my copy today, the artbook is pretty nice. Popping it in to play as we speak.

So far I really love it. I find the interaction between the characters more natural than in P3 - I really feel as if they knew each other before the protagonist turned up. In P3 it felt like they all sprung into action at the beginning of the game and had no real history apart from their one tragic event.
The fact that you're staying with your uncle and that your friends all seem to have their own life feels much more believable than in P3 where you all lived in the same immense and empty building, no one seeming to have anything to do apart from stand in the lobby.
Also there's the fact that P4 focuses on the characters more than P3. The storyline IS the characters, the characters ARE the storyline. In P3 it wandered off into the pretty damn cheesy plotline from time to time, leaving the character development behind to focus on some cringe-worthy melodramatic crap (the bit when "the guy you're previously meant to have trusted" is revealed as a bad guy was so awful and obvious...)
Don't get me wrong - I really enjoyed P3 but the actual plot was so weak and badly paced that I couldn't see it through to the end. P4 seems to correct those niggling little flaws of P3. On a more personal level, I actually prefer the setting and the murder mystery theme of P4 to the "HAY GUYS LET'S GO AND GRIND AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS!" theme of P3.

Finally someone who appreciates and have played P4 too. T_T, since it's Japanese I was (almost) the only one babbling about it here. :D
@Teclo:
Which "chapter" are you in now? :D
+rep
and I see you like Shirogane Naoto very much.

@kaimax: Yeah, it's a great game. I'm currently at the 1st of May. That should be a nice spoiler-free way to say where I am in the game.
About Naoto - it's strange; when I first saw info about this game I was actually very drawn to Chie since I love tomboys so much, but when I found out the "secret" about Naoto I couldn't help but put her as my favourite character. I still haven't got to the point that Naoto appears at but I hope she doesn't disappoint me! I should really upload all the Chie and Naoto hentai that I've found. Actually, I'm actually really surprised how much I like Yukiko since I don't normally go for that character type.

Same here about Yukiko, she's the first one I went to get the intimate status with. Chie's battle stance is my favorite from any game so far. Also, I'm addicted to going to the Pedo Nurse at night.
I'm liking all the characters from this game so far.
Currently at the video game dungeon.

Currently at the video game dungeon.I warn you, if you're level isn't high enough you'll get a megido "storm" from mage shadows. Got me game over a couple of times. and beware the boss in the game dungeon is really "tricky".
And yeah, Yukiko is the very first social link that I maxed out. I really like her, and she's voiced by Koshimizu Ami in the Japanese ver. (Horo, Kallen), while Chie and Naoto follows behind, don't know why but I don't have the hots for Rise.

I've only seen a little bit of Rise so far but maybe you (and I) don't find her that hot because she's too obviously meant to be attractive. With the other girls it's like, oh - they're pretty cute, and they really grow on you... But with Rise you feel like you're being told OH MY GOD SHE'S HOT! ISN'T SHE HOT!?!? YES SHE IS!!!

I got the game also, about to save the second character? I ain't far. Haven't had a lot of time to play.

After this I'm going to buy the English version when it is out in here. I got to find out some parts of the game that I didn't understand when I was playing the Japanese version, Since I Played the Japanese version only for the voice  , since they use famous seiyuu (VA), like Rie Kugimiya (Rise), Paku Romi (Naoto), Horie Yui (Chie), Koshimizu Ami (Yukiko). I really love my seiyuu.

I think you'll have a bit of a problem going around with the english voice :P XD;Yeah, that's just my problem. Like I said in a previous page in this thread, I got bored with the cast of the English version, there's no variety, more like there's no one else available.
example:
-Yuri Lowenthal = Voiced Main Character in P3 (Minato Arisato), now voicing for Yosuke Hanamura in P4
-Johnny Yong Bosch = now as P4 main character (Seta, Souji)
and other English VA that I've known from other English games and anime...

Kaimax, I think you're contradicting yourself a bit there. You say you like the Japanese dub and then list the VAs as evidence - they're all A-listers who are in most anime and you'd have to basically avoid watching Japanese-dubbed anime in order to not hear at least one of their voices. You then say you don't like the US dub and then list the VAs as evidence - they're all A-listers who are in most anime and you'd have to basically avoid watching US-dubbed anime in order to not hear at least one of their voices. i.e. It's true that Bosch and co. voice countless characters in countless games and anime but then so do the Japanese VAs that you really like.
You might recognise the US VAs from lots of other roles and feel that it's like the producers keep using only a few different actors but that's also what they do in Japan. The Japanese guy who did the hero in P3 is also Gaara from Naruto and about a million other characters too. Yukari's actress has done loads of high profile roles, in Kingdom Hearts for example. The actor who did Junpei also did a voice in P2 as well as loads of major anime roles and he also voiced the main character in Tales of Vesperia.
Mitsuru's VA was Rie Tanaka - the obvious choice for that sort of character. She also voice "Junk" from Rozen Maiden as well as a ton of other major anime and videogame roles. It goes on and on like that; all the VAs of P3 and P4 are famous in Japan and people will know them from countless other things, often including pop careers and commericials. Of particular note to me is Maaya Sakamoto who did Aegis. She's a well-known singer in Japan appealing to a more mature audience than most pop, so that's kind of like if Sheryl Crow voiced a character, and she's also voiced very famous characters such as Aeris in Advent Children.
Just go on their Wiki pages and you'll see for yourself. Most of them would have done similar sorts of characters dozens of times before and would probably have acted together in major shows such as Bleach and Naruto, just like Bosch and the rest of the ubiquitous US actors. I mean, it's like there's no Japanese guy with a deep, commanding voice apart from Norio Wakamoto. About the only time you'll see a powerful, booming-voiced character being dubbed by anyone other that Wakamoto is when the studio can't afford him, or when he's busy, so the studio has to pay someone else to essentially do an impression of him.

I know it's a bit contradicting, but I'm just listing it, and I've only heard the English VA from games and only checked other roles in wikipedia. The english VA, I don't hate'em just bored to hear almost every English game that I play are voiced by them, well, they can't avoid it since finding an English Norio Wakamoto is almost impossible.
Well, for the Japanese VA, I've already grown attach to them, and knowing who is playing who is easy once I memorize their voice color. and Since I've watched over 500 anime's I almost know all the Japanese VA, so you don't need to point it out. :D
It's just my problem, since I think Japanese Voice acting has a lot more color and variations. Some Japanese VA can almost have like a split personality and a different voice, while the English VA I think almost always use the same style and the same voice.
The Point is I prefer Japanese VA than the English one, till the point that I have two versions (Japanese and English) of almost all the games I have. (I have two copies of Tales of The Abyss, two copies of Persona 3, etc... etc..)
That's just my opinion though. :D
Back to topic and not trying to derail it much ^_^;:

Cool pictures. With that VA thing, I didn't mean to come across like I was telling you what to think - I also often prefer the Japanese voices. It's just that there's this automatic assumption amongst a lot of western anime fans that western voice acting is worse than the holy and amazing Japanese voice acting. Though I'm getting the impression that you're either Japanese or perhaps from somewhere else in east Asia?
I do definitely think there's too much US dominance in western voice acting; it's a rare thing to see a game like Dragon Quest VIII come along which is localised in Britain, not the US and it was great to see so many British accents in Final Fantasy XII, not least of which being Balthier.
Anyway, yes. I don't want to derail the thread. I'll post some P4 pics too.
