Shizuka-chan ~
This year really seems like the year of the 3DS with it's big software releases this year, but I won't talk about that as it would just result in going off in a tangent. I would be fine with the price if it wasn't for the insane proprietary memory cards...it can costs around $300 before I even buy a game :/ ...in short, it looks good, but I am going to wait on it which serves three purposes for me. First, the price of the vita may lower. Second some 3rd party company might make cheaper memory cards for the vita. Lastly, I will have a wider range of games to play at the time of purchase.

The only game I'd buy on the Vita is Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. Even though it has a replay feature(seriously Capcom, why the hell didn't you put this in the console version), no way I'm shelling out 300+ dollars to play one game. Especially since I already have it on PS3.

I'll think about getting one IF there is a MHP3rd Bundle or when the next KHBBS comes out. OR once its been haxxx

I am pumped for it, looks sleeeeeek. No point in getting 3d model obviously considering you can't play games online over the 3g and it costs like 15 bucks a month.
Good chance it will drop in price to $199 pretty fast so i don't want to jump the gun like with what happened with the 3ds.
Short battery life but this extended battery looks cool. Just like a little stick, that plugs in and give it an additional 3 hours.

I have one, and the graphics are amazing :V It's pretty cool and all, but there are some things that could use fixing:
1) battery life is max ~4 hours of continuous gaming
2) lack of ability to turn off auto-sleep
3) console is locked to a single account, swap memory cards to swap accounts
It's pretty nice, but I don't feel it was worth the $540 I paid for the console, a game (Lord of Apocalypse), a 16GB memory card, and a leather case (all that with $60 shipping) I imported it for the sake of having circle as my confirm button :V a lot of the interface is touchscreen, but in-game, use of touchscreen is very limited from what I've played:
Uncharted Golden Abyss Demo
Star Strike Delta (Stardust)
Lord of Apocalypse
Ragnarok Odyssey Demo
Wipeout 2048 Demo
However, one demo that really stands out in terms of using the touchscreen is a game called Sumioni (Ink Demon), scheduled to release early February in Japan. It's like a hack and slash with Okami elements to it (drawing stuff to interact with objects and enemies)

Spoiler:
How's the backward support for PSP? Could you dl your psp games easily no prob?

I never bought a PSP game from PSN, always bought a hard copy when i bought games :/ It also surprises me that the Vita does NOT have PS1 support :V
I also heard that DJMax Portable 3 lags, to the point of de-sync, and thus unplayable

I just put money down for the wifi version, 3G just seems like a waste of more money to me when I probably wont be playing it online.

Wait..so the 3G version ISN'T like the 3G Kindle where you pay a one time fee & get it for life ?

Only reason 3g on kindle is free is because the only thing you can use it for is to buy books off their store (in which they are making money).
Where 3g on ps vita, you can use to browse the web, download aps/games, skype, etc. etc. Requires a monthly subscription (which is DEFIANTLY not worth it at all).
Can't play games online over 3g because 3g isn't fast enough to support them (which is kinda obvious).

Mustn't Run Away...
Well I knew that it wouldn't support the gameplay ,but the newer kindles(Fire) do all that as well...for free lol.
Which is why I was confused since apperantly both are being supported by AT&T.
Oh well now I'm relieved I just payed to import the Wifi version instead of waiting for the 3G.
