The "Last Game You Beat" Thread

Persona is like that; Persona 3 took me three full playthroughs and 4 partial ones before I beat it 100%. The path to mastering all social links is really, really narrow; I had a pad full of notes on social interactions and what happens when, and reset the game more times than I can count trying to deconstruct it all. It eventually became more like a maze made of dialogue options than a role-playing challenge. Worth it to one-shot the (ridiculously OP) final boss, though.

Really enjoyable, but fuck those relics challenges.

Beat TellTale Game of Thrones the other day, I enjoyed it for not being into GoT. 8/10

Beat Danganronpa: Ultra Despair Girls for the 2nd time. Loved it like it was my 1st time.

Mass Effect: Andromeda....I just wanted to see how bad it was.

Just got around to playing and finishing Transistor by SuperGiant games. Great game, addicting soundtrack. Battle system is unique enough to make my brain hurt sometimes but totally worth it.

The last game I beat was Uncharted 2 Honor Among Thieves. I thought it was awesome, I loved almost every setpiece in the game, especially the level set on the moving train. I actually started it in 2015, and I'm Kind of dissapointed in myself with how long it took me to actually get around to beating it.

The games that I currently have in progress are Uncharted 3 and The Witcher 3. Hopefully it doesn't take me close to 3 years to beat Uncharted 3, and I've heard so many great things about The Witcher 3 so I can't wait to get further in it.

Call of Duty Black Ops

Yes I still play this from time to time, and still think it's one of the best CoD I tried, after World at War and the original Modern Warfare.

Call of Duty Black Ops 2

Really a downgrade compared to the original. I like to think that Black Ops has no sequels, and that BOps 2/3 are just 'what if' sort of games, kinda like fanfiction.

Finally got around to playing Final Fantasy 15, with all the added content and DLC that has come out since it's launch. I was sceptical given the reviews I'd heard, but after playing it I was left weeping like an emotional little girl. The story was a lot easier to relate to and feel for the characters now it's been *moderately* fleshed out. This was the first FF I've played since FF10-2, so it's been a while and whilst I don't think it measures up perfectly, I definitely have to add it to the list of my favourites in the franchise for how well written the main four protagonists are (Five if you count Luna, which I do, but only after the added content) and how good the game play feels.

DKC2 hadn't 100%'d the game for about 7 years so I decided to play it on my 3ds, still as good as I remember.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2, which I NG+'d so I'm playing through the game again.

Spoiler:
I grinded Tyrannotitan Kurodil for the best Core Chips in the game on all my Rare Blades before starting NG+. Even when I've downlevelled all my characters I still wreck everything, assuming they aren't so high levelled I get one-shot.

Call of Duty Infinite Warfare

Much like Assault Horizon is to AC, Infinite Warfare is a good game but really does not belong with the rest of the CoD franchise. A shame that the optional missions are more entertaining than the mandatory ones, not counting the last part of the game which is awesome.

Metroid Prime.

It's a game that's extremely ambient. With no voice acting, a lot of reading, and no characters to interact with, you get a lot of time to to yourself. I spent a lot of time introspectively thinking while I caused irreparable damage to the local ecosystem by poaching every animal I came across. It was very nice. Just listen to a podcast or some music while you play and it's a very relaxing game.

Batman: Arkham City. I spent more time getting Riddler trophies than saving the city from the Joker's madness.

4/10. Didn't get to punch Riddler enough.

NieR; Automata
Rating: 10/10

That's a subjective rating because I adored it.
Objectively, for reasons, it's probably closer to a 7.5-8/10
