Fate// Stay Night - Doing a marathon until i sleep. It's about magic and shit. And the protagonist is a girl i believe. I'm 30 minutes in the game, so i can't say much about it. It's not good but it isn't bad either. I'm unsure at the moment. The prologue takes about three hours, that's the only time you play as Rin(the girl).
Oh ok. [I had no idea]
The real protag is a guy.

Currently nothing since I'm busy with other stuff, but I plan on starting School Days HQ as soon as I'm free. That said, twenty-one endings are a bit much =_= .

School Days is categorized as a medium length VN, 10-30 hours

School Days is actually pretty boring in my opinion =.=", one of the most deceptive games out there. I had no idea why there are so many good reviews about it; the yandere element can't have blinded everyone so badly.

It's just above average, but almost everyone wants to see "animated sex" and the bad endings. It's pretty realistic for it's genre honestly.
So, it's good for a whole another reason than just the story.

Just started playing
"Bishoujo Mangekyou - Dainiwa "Wasurenagusa to Eien no Shoujo"
For one minute, it still continues the story of the Kaleidoscope
The graphics still looks as beautiful as the first volume.

Playing å¦åœ’退é”ï¼ãƒ›ãƒ¼ãƒªãƒ¼×モーリー.
While its story progresses like the generic superhero story (HELP ME XXXX! XXXX IS HERE! Wonder why I prefer the bad ends so much over the good ones >_>), since I'm like really, really out of good VNs to read - oh wait, I still have Rewrite but... but for some reason it's not even close to being as entertaining as Clannad...
Ahem, right, the review. Well actually this is not a review and more of a complain.
I have read, watch, seen and experienced annoying personalities since childhood. Seldom have I met people whom I truly wish were dead (excluding those souls who were portrayed insane or evil), and even less so for those on the protagonist side of the story.
Well there was such a character here. Her name is Iori. She's the kind of woman I'd spit upon (... holy I don't think I've ever hated a fictional character that much, and a woman some more...) ten out of ten times if I ever had the terrible luck meeting such a person.
So what did Iori did to make me hate her so much? Well for starters, she's a typical tsundere. Note that I do NOT hate tsunderes; I love them a tonne, it's just that she tsunderes in a very, very bad way.
1: Childhood friend (protagonist) has minor argument with Iori. Iori responds with absolute wrath and absolutely denies any fault on her side. -1 points.
2: Iori sees protagonist making friends with a new girl. Iori responds by acting cold towards protagonist and being close to her archery teacher. -2 points.
3: Protagonist attempts to make up with Iori. Iori responds that she has curriculum activities (meaning ARCHERY SENSEI) and leaves. The guy wasn't even at fault and he's apologizing still and WTF DID SHE JUST DO? WTF? -3 points.
4: Protagonist having recurring strange dreams and looks worse day by day. Iori does not notice a single thing despite knowing him since like, what, when they're babies? The new friend was the one who actually noticed something wrong and cared for him. Good god. -4 points.
5: Protagonist screams himself awake a lot of times, and Iori ran into one of them. She does not see anything wrong with it. Continues to be cold and distant because protagonist is close with new friend. -5 points.
6: Not spoiling anything, but let's say that a lot of stuff happened, and Iori shouted at the end for protagonist to save her. Are you kidding me.
7 ~ 99999999: Protagonist warns Iori against certain actions with sound reasoning and common sense precaution. Iori ignores every single one of them and puts herself every single time in every single fucking danger possible in the universe. Gets saved over and over again. Never learns her lesson. In fact, taking a more recent example (which was repeated over a million times in past scenarios), even though she know it's dangerous to accept offers from unknown scouters wanting to take you in as a model (like, so incredibly STUPIDLY suspicious that anyone should know to avoid it), the moment protagonist states the obvious conclusion to get the hell away from the scouter, she meets him instead and went to take photos.
Oh. My. God. I'm sorry. I don't feel the slightest bit of compassion for this kind of woman getting raped in an eroge a million times, and may I never meet such a person in real life.
Holy shit that's an incredible long rant. =.="

Working on School Days HQ. It's pretty good since it's in full animation, although there are times where it's 'hit&miss" when they're 'talking' or 'breathing'.
I'm trying so hard to get Otome Katou's route! Still no luck.

[color=red]At first I thought you stalked my VN gaming list posts in here lol
Woah you finished that already? Such a fast player.
Same here, I prefer the bad ends sometimes. Hell, some are hotter than the casual h-scene.
I also having a bad perception about Iori (specially when she meet a model scouter, yep I know about that scene). Osananajimi? She's just plain annoying.
The only thing that interest me is just the artwork lol.
I'm taking the Lisa's route now, halfway probably. And maybe will take Chloe later, because of your rant on Iori lol.

I kind of like Chloe, but unfortunately she doesn't have much story to read about.
Lisa's route was surprisingly good. So, SENSEI BANZAI!!!

[color=red]--Zolnir. Hmmm well I'll try to hasten my pace then. Curious about this sensei route.
Another note, started on Hatsukoi 1/1 Kyo's route. Her shy expression. HNNNGGGHH. Still on part-time pizza story. Haven't touched her basketball problems.
*also, that awkward moment when I hear G-String music in this game, different version tho*

just finished Bishoujo MAngekyou Vol.2
Well, IT's obvious that the H-scenes are hot, so lets put that aside.
Without spoiling or hinting too much, it's good "mystery" VN, and... seriously I can't speak too much.
You should just try it yourself, it's good short read when you look at the length of it.

Totally agreed. The first BGM (not the title screen) from the start of the VN was from Mahotsukai no Yoru, and this was sounded exactly the same >_>.

That's because it's a "Real" composed song by Erik Satie "Trois Gymnopédies"
Even the Mahoyou OST album listed that song as:
Gogo no Nemuri (original song: Gymnopédies)
So, It's not from Mahoyou, but Mahoyou used it as one of it's OST.
and that song is used in many media.
-It's been used in Suzumiya Haruhi
-Used in Mother 3 the video game.
etc

Just finished the available routes in Majikoi, and watched the anime adaptation. The ending was going way too fast, but it was exceptionally funny. Obviously I couldn't enjoy it as much as the VN but it was still hilarious all the way through.
The ending was simply the best. The last line, AND Yamato's declaring of his feelings to his love interest. Simply hilarious.

Ooh. Okay, question time: Can I use it for my personal project? Is it licensed?I don't think anyone would try to sue you over an old piano song.

Lol, okay. That's another time sinkhole out of my schedule, thank god.
Read through a bit of Muv Luv Chronicles 01. Reconfirmed my convictions that unless the setting is after MLA and not some alternate universe I have absolutely no interest in reading them. Though I suspect it'll take another ten years before we'd actually see something akin to a sequel. =.="

[color=red]Almost done with Kyo's route. (wish I could skip the H-scene instead of not looking + hearing lol)
I really like the music. It matches with the story and makes me feel moody.
But I'm bit annoyed with the protag. Sometimes he behave like Makoto from School Days.
Now, Maya route~~

Playing 創世奇èšã‚¢ã‚¨ãƒªã‚¢ãƒ«. Yes, the 9GB monster, if you can't read Japanese.
First, it seems to a little alike to the Muv Luv series (or at least a similar setting) where humanity is attacked by unknown aliens. The setting is also much more horrible than before: Only 100,000 people (or was it was 10,000?) are left and alive on the Ark, and the entire world is covered in water as a result of the North and South Pole's icebergs completely melted.
This time humanity does not have humanoid battle mechs though. Jets, warships, submarines, you know the conventional. With combat resources running out (surprisingly, electricity is apparently infinite and solar powered and food is actually not too much of a concern) that the pilots had to conserve ammo on the battlefield, it seems like humanity is finally going to die, until an unknown power showed up.
Thus ends a short summary. Now for the complains.
First, does not measure up to JOKER-æ»ç·šã®æžœã¦ã®é“化師-, a work just out from the same company. Not too much of a complain though, they're obviously done by two different writers. JOKER-æ»ç·šã®æžœã¦ã®é“化師- has a much darker, realistic writing style whereas 創世奇èšã‚¢ã‚¨ãƒªã‚¢ãƒ« is all about HUMANITY SAIKOU! kind of optimism. Extremely obvious when there was a chapter dedicated to the 'evilness' of using nuclear warheads against a (I suppose it's not too much of a spoiler, but just in case):
Fact is some hundreds of nuclear bombs are exploded everyday in reality as experiments, both small and big, and the VN is making a HUGE deal about exploding ONE nuclear bomb against a ALL HUMAN DIES level of crisis. Also apparently the writer did not do his research and thinks the last nuclear bomb used was in World War II - open warfare I concede, but the comment came out from a military officer. I find that incredible. >_>.
Well, still reading, and this VN is obviously not Muv Luv kind of despair style so, continue on...
