I think some of y'all are trippin. Judging from that ending, this looks like some type of denial/refusal to accept the reality that they're fucked on a tiny island of a destroyed world.

MIDSOMMAR was THE WORST!!! That aside, this wasn't bad as stories go but more effort should have been put into drawing the Statue of Liberty. The lazy way it was drawn brings down the overall quality of the book and seems more like a last-minute narrative afterthought.
