That statement is true with almost every BSS story which is why it always loops back to the same question, if your reading BSS why not just read proper ntr. The MC usually has no effect or impact on the story plus the FMC was never "his girl" to begin with so she cant be stolen, so us readers feels no sympathy for him.

This may be slightly unpopular to say here, but this is basically the same view that I have with NTR. The cuckhold/mindbreak PoV is often superfluous and doesn't add anything. It sometimes even takes away from what could otherwise just be a hot and steamy cheating story.

I think that's the point. The reason NTR and BSS are popular is partially because they aren't wholesome. You could say the same for cheating sort of but I think some people just want that "next level."

Imo, the mc should screw up a little more. The thing is he fucks up once and lose the girl, ok that's nice. But, if he builds up a lot of fuck ups along the history just to make sure you can say "well, he brought that on himself", I would give no mind to the lack of characteristics on the walking dick he calls friend.

Eh, no one's perfect. He's pushy and perhaps possessive, but he isn't exactly malicious or anything. It's not like he's getting a kick out of stealing someone's girl.

That being said, *shrugs* it's only high school. Who's to say where things go after this? We only ever get a peek into these characters' lives after all.

My main issue isn’t the pushiness but instead the lack of other points of interest as a character. I really just don’t buy him as a human being.
Hence I’m just not a huge fan of the relationship because it’s poorly justified. Dangles painfully close to “hypnotized by cock” and therefore it’s a bit shallow. Now, again, that’s a slight nitpick bit ive read so much hentai I know you can effectively establish character in 20 pages. Hell! 5 pages. Bro literally just has the brain between his legs nothing else. And that’s fine but I don’t think the story decisions around that character compliment that idea.

Does that make sense? Lol

I guess this basically is what Niku to Gohan BSS is going to be - "You blew it, dude" (I almost couldn't get past Page 5). In any case, I'm just not finding their mean-spirited NTRish kick, not that I'm complaining.
