Good on Rintarou for being a man and putting that "fan" in his place: on his stupid, mumbling ass. I really enjoyed the immediate switch from manly to meek as it really highlighted how much of a softie he is, which is in stark contrast to how he was portrayed in the first few pages.

"If it wasn't for the high salary..."? So, he gets paid a salary that's better than most jobs on the market? That's nice. Also, who needs to meet other women when you have one get to be with one your entire working day!
What a guy our protagonist is, though. The way he just shoved the douche aside, tossing his envelope back at him was pretty impressive.
Still, the way he just let his confession that he liked her slip out (I especially like how he started sort of pointing out all her character flaws beforehand, too) felt quite natural, I like it.
Great ending though. Well hey, maybe he has such unrealistic expectations because the perfect girl is already right beside him, so he's just talking about a girl that theoretically would never exist. (Though even if one did, I'm confident he'd still choose our heroine here)
