The sheer amount of fail this thread is is beyond anything I have ever seen. I hope that you are truly trolling and don't take this seriously. If you are serious then you need to chill the fuck out and go fap to some lolis to put yourself in a better mood.

I guess the Admins will make a decision when they return from their respective vacations. Personally, I am still not in favour of a post count requirement, though it could be just me.
You are entitled to your opinion.

By the way, more mods may mean less work all around, but it could also eventually lead to too much control over members, which I think may happen if the bill does get passed. If they get too over bearing (hey I can do the bear thing too right) with there powers, demod them. Problem solved, hire someone else.
As I have said there are no guarantees in going with a method like this that it would go over smoothly or would work at all. But, Crimson's thread worked, obviously having a post count had a factor in all the 100 + post links still being alive. Jacob makes absolutely no money off of Fakku to my knowledge so it's not like losing some leechers would hurt. If they don't wanna meet the requirements that insure safe links then don't let the door hit you on the way out.
Also tbh, I could care less if Fakku has a post count or not. I suggested it and argued for it as a way to protect people's links. I neither upload nor plan to upload. It's a solution that I think would help. Not solve but help. Links will always die.
EDIT : As for your edit, 10 mods is not too many mods. If anything for 130,000 registered user site (yes I know we don't really see that many blah blah etc) that is still not enough imo. There are sites that have 30,000 members but 5 times the amount of mods Fakku does. If they can handle it I think we can to.

@Animeholic: It appears that you are campaigning hard for a post count requirement to be implemented in order for one to access the users' upload section. Indeed, quite a bit of planning will be required, though there are still some issues to be considered. When trying something new planing and trail and error do indeed take a big part

-The difference between mindless post and spam remains blurred, and the same can be said for the Random and IB section. If I ban a new member for simply posting emotions, then must I do the same towards an Elite/Elder who has done so in the past? The same goes for short answer replies such as "QFT". I wouldn't want the hentai community to think that we practice double standards, because word tends to spread very quickly.Any user with some common sense knows that just emotioncons are not allowed. Ignorance is no excuse as a more revised version of the FAQ and rules would need to be made that would clearly explain what counts as spam. A single emotioncon one time is fine imo. Even Jacob has been known to do something like that with his post in the toonami has died thread.

;_;It is not however acceptable for the majority of you posts. If you want your entire opinion downsized to a single emotion fine, just don't do it always cause it will result in deletion of one's posts and a warning. Continuation, temp ban, more continuation perma ban. If the idiot didn't get the message by then they don't deserve to be here. Same deal with the ftw, qft, lamo etc stuff.

-A balance must be struck between freedom, moderation and of course, the protection of links. If too much emphasis is placed on one particular aspect, then Fakku may no longer be the place we have come to know, which can be a good or bad things, depending on the individual's viewpoint. That's why planning is needed, taking caution and of course letting the community know before hand that these actions will be set in motion on a certain date. Also more mods. More mods = less work all around.
Also when a user signs up the forum needs to auto link them to the FAQ. That is important imo. It also wouldn't hurt if the FAQ and rules thread was on the toolbar and not a sticky in suggestions.

Ah true, sorry for having forgotten. Nevertheless, it seems like letting IB posts count would let people gain such a post count far more quickly, and without getting to grips with the rules and respect factors that I mentioned, which might end up leaving the problem of flagging anyway. I also feel that the high post counts atm denote trust and reliability to a member such as myself; blurring the boundaries by greatly increasing the number of people with ridiculous post counts, maybe for posting a majority of meaningless content in IB, would all but destroy this.
I am just giving examples of how to make a post count work. People will bitch and complain if there are a shit load of quick thought out posts by noobs who just want some pron. Having IB be the place where these posts are made solves that problem. Keeping the quality of the other forums and not having the quality of IB change except for more posts in 3 word post, rate above user etc, chat thread and so on. The post count would need to be 50-100 imo. That is a amount that some dick who is just flagging shit isn't going to put in the effort just so he can jack off to people complaining about how they can't download. At the same time it isn't a amount that is undo able by a person who just wants some pron.

Surely the point of making people post to gain access is to have them take time to give something back to the community, as well as get to grips with the forums (to stop the useless or demanding requests) and give a bit more respect (seeing how many requests people fill on a daily basis). What part of that is solved by letting people post a load of quick, mindless crap to get their porn fix? All you seem to be suggesting is the easiest solution to the problem of denying some access, rather than considering the reasons behind it.
No the point of a post count is to limit access to the user uploads section. Protecting links from reporters, flaggers and faggots. A post count works to solve that problem. I already gave examples of this on what crimson does and on all the stuff he put out for all users was gone. But, all the stuff he had for users with 100+ post count was still there. The links fine and unreported. That is what we want. Unreported links. Did you not read the earlier posts?
Fakku is a plus 18 site to begin with. If Jacob was to pron up the banner he should be able to without worrying about what user's family might be seeing in the banner (which most likely he could care less about who sees what). Also you post on a hentai site with your family in the room. You are just asking to be caught. You are more likely to be caught by visiting a thread with a pron pic in it.

Incoherent Babbling is for mindless posts. It's there so people don't post that shit in Random. If we make posts in IB count, at the cost of making the section not mindless, then we'd have to create a new section for mindless shit where posts didn't countThere is nothing hard about creating a new section. Jacob could do it in no time flat. It's a simple matter of a few clicks and typing. Literally minutes.
ShaggyJebus wrote...
and what would be the point of that if we already have a place like that? There would be no point cause we don't need a new section there is nothing wrong with making IB posts count.
ShaggyJebus wrote...
If we did make it so that so many posts were needed to get into User Uploads, there would be no reason to make the posts count in IB. It's not hard to make posts, as long as people visit the different sections and don't stick to just one or two.The point of making IB posts count is that most people just want porn and more then likely aren't willing to put much thought into their posts. That's why a forum game would be where most posts would happen. Or the chat thread.
IB can be where "mindless" posts go and they can still count. I don't know what you view a mindless post as but as long as a post isn't spam which isn't allowed to be on fakku in the beginning and doesn't break any of the other post rules it's fine. Also people get critiqued on their posts in IB. I have seen it done. So that is suppose to be where mindless posts go but are still judged by users? That makes a ton of sense. Having IB posts count wouldn't make a single bit of difference. Doesn't matter if the posts count or not. If it's spam it's deleted.
On other forums the mindless forum still counts for posts. That's where forum games go. Are you a member of any other forums? IB is a mindless section like the other sections on other forums except our posts don't count in there. So making posts count in IB would in no way affect the forum other then people's post counts going up.
Don't give the same stuff about titles not meaning as much as they do now cause we can always fix that with more titles. I am telling you if it works on other forums every day, day in and day out, without any thing catastrophic happening, it can work on Fakku. The only difference is that they put the plan in motion before it got to the point we are at. Simply planning ahead of time, adding more mods to keep any noobs from spam posting and telling the forum say a month ahead of time and updating the announcement that the plan will be enforced on a set date would make the transition a lot less painful then what it was first time around.
All this is just what we could do. I am sure Jacob is working on something to help protect links. He mentioned something about it a long time ago and Hibia said he had an idea. Dunno how progress has been on that.
I might be adding more later, I'm not sure. I gotta keep some of my Saber stash to myself after all. Probably no more then another 100 pics I will be adding.
EDIT : Also remember to check through all the pages for more Saber.

I am a Saber fan.We knew that already.
...wut? I thought I hide it so well.
I have logged in 578 hours into CoD4 since I bought it.
I just got done with the demo a little while ago and I was really impressed. The graphics just look fucking awesome and everything is so polished. From his movements to jumping to climbing all the character animations are well done. There was one instance when he didn't come in contact with a bench rail and just passed through it but that is nothing to complain about. The level of detail in the city is amazing and you can tell that they certainly didn't rush this game. I was a little mad cause it is a demo and I couldn't do some of the shit I wanted but whatever it's a demo. I will just wait for the real thing.

Is the wallpapers and less ram enough to make you pull out 200-400$ to switch over?I have a MSDN subscription, so I don't really care. ;p
I don't like people like you (MSDN thing not you personally). You and Chaos get the good shit. Okay guess I will wait for others who are MSDNless like me..../sigh

Windows 7 is already on release candidate 1. Complete with some delicious wallpapers. P: Also, it uses less RAM than Vista, SP2 or no.I know all that. It's what makes it better. W7 boots faster and in game testing I have seen actually runs games a good 2 - 7 fps better then Vista. It's the money factor people should be thinking about. W7 will not be free obviously. Is the wallpapers and less ram enough to make you pull out 200-400$ to switch over?
So we all know about W7 I would hope. More then likely a few of us here have tired the betas. I have to say I am liking what I am seeing. It runs a hell of a lot better then what Vista did when it came out just as a beta and many say W7 is what Vista should have been.
That being said Vista SP2 will also be here soon. It's about a month away. SP2 promises a lot of fixes. 600 hot fixes if I remember right.
* Windows Vista SP2 adds Windows Search 4.0 for faster and improved relevancy in searches.
* Windows Vista SP2 contains the Bluetooth 2.1 Feature Pack supporting the most recent specification for Bluetooth Technology.
* Ability to record data on to Blu-Ray media natively in Windows Vista.
* Adds Windows Connect Now (WCN) to simplify Wi-Fi Configuration.
* Windows Vista SP2 enables the exFAT file system to support UTC timestamps, which allows correct file synchronization across time zones.
Not to mention a resource over haul. Vista will no longer be as much of a ram hog as it is now. For those of you only running 1Gb of ram I am sure you know what I mean.
So my question is will you stick with Vista and believe in SP2 to be your saving grace? Or will you switch over to W7 when it comes out?
I personally will not be switching over. Vista is working just fine for me on this computer and SP2 will only make it better.
