Always room for a few more work safe uploads.
Thanks for the links. Just finished watching a while ago. Definitely got to pick this up on BD when it releases here in the states. Already planning to pick up 1.11 this week(which I didn't even know was out here).
This made me lol pretty much immediately.
Love Kisaragi Gunma, never heard of Tosh though.

IMO the U.S. is what I'd like to call "veiled" homophobic. Basically, very homophobic in general, but puts on a smiley face and pretends not to be.

I don't want to put words in your mouth but I say it sounds more like you don't like homosexuality but you still act nice to homosexuals. There is nothing wrong with that.

I don't think there's anything wrong with not particurally liking homosexuality, but disliking homosexuals just because is a little.....I dunno. It feels wrong to dislike someone based off their (non-harmful) sexuality. Even if you pretend otherwise.

The recent loli-crackdown has had me thinking about why loli is even illegal/prosecuted in the first place. Let's put aside shitwhore, er... Agnes Chan's seeming belief that fictional characters have rights too. The basic premise is that, even if there are no actual minors used in the making of loli material that it's existence increases demand for real CP.

BULL...FUCKING...SHIT!

Sorry, you can't have it both ways, general public of America!

Let's look at homosexuality to kick off my explanation. The majority of Americans believe that homosexuality is inherent, genetic. It is neither learned nor acquired through one's environment. Well, if you think that sexuality is inherent, then that must hold true for pedophilia, because no matter how disgusting it is, pedophilia is a sexual orientation. It is inherent, genetic. Pedophiles are born, not made. Maybe repressed to a point, but [genuine] pedos are not the result of one's environment.

Are we in agreement so far?

The argument that loli increases the demand for, or encourages real CP, is bullshit. Because saying that contradicts the earlier stated belief that one's sexuality is inherent and not learned. If you want to say that loli makes people into pedos or increases demand of real CP, then that acknowledges that sexuality is learned or externally influenced. thus, you agree with conservative shitheads that say a child brought-up in a gay household is more likely to be 'turned gay'. sorry, you cannot have your cake and eat it too. The demand for CP is there because pedos are there, and as long as there are pedos, they will want CP to look at.

How long is it going to be before someone finally sees the truth? I agree that if something curtails the rights of another, directly (or to the 1st/2nd degree) hurts someone, or you intentionally disseminate false information about someone, then it should be illegal, there are limits to our right to free speech, expression, ect.
But fundamentally loli does nothing to hurt anyone. Beyond what hurts others, what restrictions don't set us on the slippery slope? First loli...then small breasts, WS, anal...the slope is steep, and very hard to climb back-up once you start. After pornography, what political and religious speech will also be deemed obscene?

Preaching tot he choir dude. I don't think your going to find anyone here that would disagree with your argument. Not to say that it's not solid, cause it is. But consider my point:

I hate rape. I mean HATE it. I've seen plenty of lwb translated doujins posted up, and in my mind wished it wasn't. But that's where my opinion stops. I know full well that there are others who shouldn't be denied their right to enjoy whatever-the-hell they want if it's in manga/doujin/comic/animated form.
Whether I like it or not. That said, it exemplifies my frame of mind, which is to recognize that while some things may come across as utterly disgusting to you, as long as it's in such a fictional format, it does no harm, and thus, shouldn't be censored or repressed.

I think most people here have the same mind-state, whereas politicians, and paranoid parents don't even stop to think. They just witch hunt the latest thing to trip their dislike meter. Mind you, they don't attack things/groups that would make them look "un-PC", only the easy targets that don't really matter.

They could burn/destroy every loli manga and mangaka in existence, and the pedos would still be there, assaulting children. And then what? Lock all the kids in little cells for their "safety"?

they have reason why, and i think its just right.

but where can i find other alternatives?! links please ^^

I've found http://www.mangatoshokan.com/ they still allow mature content and gets updated quickley after translations completed.

I just read their announcement on the top page. It's about TIME somebody stood up and gave the finger to add companies attempting to censor sites. Fact is, add companies want hits, and if they find that by attempting to censor they get rejected from these popular manga sites, they'll drop the policies (and perhaps things would return to "normal"). Google imo is another matter entirely, I think they'll stick to their guns for awhile (until they could quietly pretend their new policies don't exist).
Yes. There are times I laugh so hard at some porn that I do indeed cry.
lol! I have way more respect for Kubo now.
Been around on fakku (lurking) for quite some time. I just noticed the "meet and greet" section a few minutes ago though lol.

This is what you need to talk about. CENSORING

This only applies in Japan KUMA. Once the hentai or even doujins has been exported the censoring is the first to be remove KUMA.

I've got to admit, the censoring in most manga doesn't annoy me all that much (in many a minuscule black bar counts as "censoring" lol)
I like my tea. Earl grey or green.
I used to be alright with dubbed anime when I first got into it, but after watching a few subbed anime, and getting used to reading while watching, I couldn't have it any other way. Often I find the english voices match up horribly with the character they're representing. And, because of the translations (and overzealous localizations), they lose a lot of the nuances of the original japanese language (such as the suffixes, and titles such as "sempai", Kohai").
This isn't to say ALL dubbed anime is like that, I personally thought they did a great job with Cowboy Bebop, Ninja Scroll, and Vampire Hunter D. But, even in cases like that, I end up preferring the Japanese voices over the English, as they fit the characters that much better.

Rape, so I don't have to download it only to find it has rape in it. D=

I'm co-signing this one. I like to avoid this stuff where I can. Same goes for a netorare tag.

Also there's the tasteful "nakadaishi" if one wants to avoid the words "cream pie".
