I must say that someone who doesn't understand that cigarettes aren't good for you is and idiot, since the cigarette pack usually says "Smoking Kills" or "Smoking causes lungcancer" etc. Guess some people wont get it if it doesn't say "smoking causes your penis to fall of into another dimension where it will be eaten by dogs".It is all a question of restraint and moderation. I personaly like the feeling of being drunk. If you have totally lost control of your actions, then you are Too drunk.
I'm mostly directing this towards younger (high school and down) people. Once a person is an adult then they can do whatever they want to their body. Basically, keep things like "truth" active. Despite how stupid it sounds, we have ever right to be an informed public.
I do agree that anybody who doesn't know at this point that cigarettes are bad for you is an idiot.

Now let's have a look. Alcohol and tabacco are sold at supermarkets / gas stations etc in most countries (except the states) that I know. Both are sold in grocery stores and gas stations in the states. It is common to be next to a guy or several buying a case or cases of beer.

Anything that can permanently damage or kill your body should be illegal... which is most likely everything... The people who sell these just want money, not caring about whether or not something bad happens to the consumer... Even if it was the consumer's choice to obtain this or that, do you really want to give something that will harm them, to them?Under that logic we would have to ban.
1. Fast food for being unhealthy and increasing the obesity rates in America.
2. Junk food for yet another increase in obesity not to mention the high levels of sodium in some products like Soda which causes other health problems such as high blood pressure.
3. Processed foods as high amounts of the preservatives can also be unhealthy leading to gout and various other problems.
This is a bad view point in my opinion as it says "I'm not responsible enough to understand what I am putting in my body."
As for the topic
Drugs: I am in favor of their legality in principal. I believe that nobody should tell you what you can/can't do to or put in your own body so long as you only affect yourself by your decisions. I realize that a man who succumbs to addiction ends up hurting not only himself but, his family, friends, etc.
-Harder Drugs (Coke,Meth) For it on principal but, against it in reality as these drugs are nearly impossible to kick and trash you the rest of your life (if you survive the addiction).
- Softer drugs (acid, X). I'm not familiar with these drugs as all people I knew who did it were either annoying or already out of their fucking minds. So like the harder stuff I'm against it.
-Weed: I am all for 100% I think it should be treated like a mixture of cigarettes and alcohol. You have to be either 18/21 to buy it. You get a D.U.I for driving while high. You have to have pay taxes on the purchase of them just like cigarettes. Just sell them in the store which will have to purchase a license in order to sell the product just like booze. Growers would be places under STRICT regulations the same way cigarette manufactures are under regulations.
Cigarettes: I say keep'em but, make sure the public is aware of the dangers of the cigarettes themselves. Keep charging a tax on them as most states tend to draw a large portion of their tax revenue from cigarette sales tax.
Alcohol: I enjoy a drink every now and then but, it's mostly a beer with a meal when I go out with friends. I however can not understand wanting to get drunk. The concept of losing control of your own actions seems asinine to me.
Core thought: Nobody should tell you what you can/can't do with your own body. It is YOUR body after all.
Church and state should be separate. By church I mean any and all religions. Government should not endorse nor should it restrict a religion.
The problem with not having the two separate would lead to a theocracy like a majority of countries in the middle east. While this might not be bad for the passive religions like Shinto and Buddhist. It would be a completely different story with monotheistic religions like Islam or Christianity.
I believe we are all familiar with the events between the Protestants and Catholics in England during the Marian Persecution. Which I believe would return if any religion was instated as a system of government. All theocracies dismiss that humans have rights outside of their doctrine. Islamic countries like Iran routinely infringe on the rights set by the U.N. which the most common is the rights of women.
Government should be adaptable to the people of the times. Religion is too set in stone to be adaptable at the proper rate to keep up with the rest of society.

If we want to get everybody on the same page, then we need to find out what everybody wants, in detail. Do people want less hostility but the ability to still poke fun at one another? That might work, but it could lead to misunderstandings. So, do people want a good place to talk and would be willing to eliminate any kind of negative talk to gain such? I know a lot of people wouldn't want that.To chip in to answer your question (ignoring the rest of this thread). What I personally want from Fakku is a place I can go to talk intelligently with my fellow Fakkuza. I want the community to have that "family" feeling like we're all brothers, sister, cousins, etc again. Family members can squabble and everything would still be cool like it used to. The problem is people aren't squabbling anymore over misunderstandings or whatever but, a certain group of users have a history of causing trouble. Just like the laws of the land. The laws of fakku should be impartial, unforgiving, uncaring. You break them, you lose, period. There is too much favoritism on the forums when it comes to the rules. I know other staff members have tried to correct this problem to no avail. So at this point, the only person who can do anything at this point is Jacob.
I also want the rules to be enforced for once. Someone flames a user or harasses a user then they should get punished. I don't give a fuck if they personally suck Jacob off every day. They are a user and are held to the same standards as every other user. The only exceptions are the mods who would be held to a slightly higher more "professional" standard. A perfect example for that "standard" is Gambler. I have never once had a reason to even entertain the thought of him doing anything unmod like.
Now, I'll leave this thread before I catch some sort of disease or something.

I am proud as shit of the idealistic America. Here, with the right ambition you can do whatever, be whatever, and make it with whoever.I don't like the way the government is handling foriegn policy, I don't like one of the major political parties removing choice in religion and lifestyle, as the other removes rights, like firearms, and "noise pollution" laws.
I don't like the federal government acting as the states should, and the states sitting by it.
I also don't like that the general population is satisfied with how these issues are handled, and that "change" is the new face for the acceleration of this deterioration.
Welcome to my world. Love the land, the ideals. Hate the government.
my "national pride" differs from everyone else. To me, to be proud of your country or ethnicity is to put effort towards related causes. I love my country so I want to better my country. I am involved in politics to help make the country better. Once I get through college my goal will be to become an elected official in some capacity. Even if it means just being an appeals court judge or even local school board member.
This is the kind of "pride" my dad encouraged in me. If you own something or belong to something. Show your pride by taking care of it and improving it.
Sure its the "Melting Pot" sure its a Super Power, but, its also one of the biggest breading grounds for stupidity and ignorance. Sure there are places were people are brainwashed but thats selected ignorance, we Americans seem to want to be ignorant, want to be washed away by the latest trend, washed away with our jobs, taking less time to do what you want to do.
This is a trend amongst younger Americans that bothers me deeply. If your an American, then do something to help out rather than complain about how everything sucks. Complaining won't change anything, doing will.

To my knowledge, America is considered the melting pot of the world which is another bonus point. No other country readily accepts immigrants (legal) and their culture. Although I am glad you are proud of your country may I interject that the British also readily accept immigrants and cultures too (and for some strange reason we even pay them benefits to look for jobs and give them free housing, Although it is quite debatable as to why tbh)otherwise your damn right you foiled our 'nation'
*grumbles*
I had never heard of any immigration comments in regards to the British. Other than you stopped accepting radical Muslim clerics into your country due to some of the horrific comments and demands they have made in public.
Anyways, comment has been noted.
Look on the bright side. You guys gave the world Monty Python..both the good and the bad.

Hate of spiderman? Of course..

I am quite proud to be an American. We are the lone super power in the world. We used to have the highest level of economic and personal liberty in the world but, politicians have caused that dream to die on the vine.
We (our founding fathers and the Continental army) were able to hold off the British Empire. Which consisted of (if I remember correctly) 1/3rd of the landmass of the world. Which was no small feat as we basically had militias and had to mold them into a standing army.

Edit: Except apparently the British as well.
There is a plethora of reasons why I love my country and I am proud of being an American. Though there are plenty of reasons why I would hide it in foreign countries. I blame politicians, not the country for our bad reputation.

Those topics as long as they are done maturely, intelligently and convey some genuine information then they would belong in Serious Discussion. There isn't really a strong reason for a specific section devoted entirely to history.
@ShaoZhao: We really need to get your named changed to Kingpin_ShaoZhao or something.
Talk to Jacob, make it happen!

Simply put, it's the users along with the staff that make it possible.
Staff (admins/mods) provide the infrastructure for everything to run smoothly.
We have a diverse group of open minded people though there are certain people who are a still bit closed but, can't be perfect.
Anyways, welcome to Fakku (And S.D.) Juzubow.

Someone should explain String Theory because I have no bloody clue what it is.Basically, its a theoretical concept that attempts to bring together quantum mechanics and general relativity. There are multiple string theories, but fuck describing them.
String theory has become a misleading name, being that the strings themselves aren't really essential anymore. I believe the most common theory currently is M Theory, which works on the basis of 11 dimensions and is thought to basically combines and overrules other string theories. I haven't seen any real detailed information, equations, or formula for it, and every real physicist I've ever seen talk about it more or less dismisses it as shenanigans. It might be valid, but there isn't currently any way to prove, or even really test it.
But I'm not a physicist, personally. I mean, it could be a legit unifying theory, it's just no good if you can't even test it.
You saw that episode of "The Universe" on the History channel too didn't you?

All forms of technology are rendered obsolete eventually. This trend will continue until we actually reach the limits of technology in a certain department (Rumor has it that processor development speeds are slowing down and reaching their peak which will cause us to have to change the very concept of a processor).
As for the movies straight into your head idea tsuyoshiro mentioned. I plan on creating a thread in the near future when I have the opportunity. After I some research on that specific area. I'm hoping that it'll be educational for a lot of people.

There is no excuse for bullying. It doesn't "thicken your skin" it makes you callus, disconnected, withdrawn, etc.
When I was younger (middle school age) I like everybody else had bullies which repeated all the way until I got to sophomore year in high school (in a neighboring county). Though, I had a rather severe case in middle school. One example was in art class in 6th grade I believe. The teacher went into the storage room while we worked on our drawings. One of the bullies stood up, walked over to me and caught me with a right hand knocking me out of my seat. Another example is when I had stepped of the bus and was walking home. A group of kids stopped me after the bus left, surrounded me and began to take turn beating the living piss out of me.
Until 5th grade I was a rather normal kid. I played all kinds of sports with my friends, studied hard, enrolled in martial arts. Then we moved to the state I currently reside in. Went through hell and I withdrew from everything. Stopped taking martial arts lessons despite nearly attaining a black belt. Didn't try to attain friends (since all my attempts ended with me limping back home bruised)
So from my personal experience with bullies, I would have to say bullying is a terrible thing. Sure, one could argue that I stood up for myself when I was being bullied but, that is because I'm a stubborn bastard. Really all it caused me to do was defend myself with violence then withdraw from societal iterations. I had a severe case so maybe this is a bit too personal for me.
Other people who had it as rough or rougher than I did ended up shooting people over it. Kids are killing kids over bullying, there is obviously a problem. That doesn't excuse the actions of anybody but, it clearly shows there is a problem.

After a little bit of thought and I emphasize "little" I would be interested in seeing life through the eyes of Zig's pet cat for a few hours or a day. Why? I know that we take damn good care of these cats. Plenty of food, water and always somebody or some cat to play with. Though that idea of using that litter box is a bit scary. Nobody knows what poopy little land mines are in there.
