Job recruiters give tips like erasing all the junk off your myspace or facebook when job hunting. Potential employers WILL look at them in order to better understand you. If you have anything that could be deemed negative then they won't hire you.
If potential employers are doing this then it is no stretch to think your current ones are doing this as well.
Moral of the story, keep your personal life off the internet.
Edit: Or at least make sure nobody can track it back to you IRL.
Well, maybe an African penguin but, then I'd have to worry about those fucking killer whales, other birds like seagulls, sea lions amongst a few. I'd also have to eat fish...yeah, I'm not seeing that happening. I'll stick with being human.
Maybe I can add a different perspective on how to explain why "free everything" is bad.
We live on a planet with a finite amount of resources. Conflict over these limited resources leads to a lot of the problems humanity has. So anytime something is "free" demand always outpaces supply by leagues. Lets take petroleum as an example.
If petroleum was free then nobody would control the amount they drive unless they subscribe to the man-made climate change crowd. The supplies would run out rather swiftly due to the high demand for fuel. (barring any governmental body imposed restrictions on its use.)
How about steak? If steak such as sirloin or Delmonico was free then why would you eat something else like certain cuts of pork unless you specifically wanted that particular cut.
Cars are another example. Why would you drive a Toyota Echo when you could drive something bigger, nicer, etc?
The only way for humanity to "evolve" beyond the requirement for money is to have all natural resources so abundant and unlimited in supply. Then the next problem would be designing the system to manufacture enough to meet demand. This would require creating incentives for people to produce these items.
Since we have finite amounts of resources. I believe the requirement of money is a good method to ration the demand of those resources as well as find efficiency in their use.
Blood types in Japan differ than western understandings. "Blood type" is basically in a nutshell "personality types" such as an A personality or B. At least that is my understanding.
Actually, its more like Blood type = Personality.
Same difference really but, thank you for making it more clear for those who didn't already know.

If people are going to leave just because there's a bit more strict moderation, then they're people I don't want here in the first place. I want the people that are gonna stick around because there are other damn decent people here (like them) that don't want to see the forums turn into a big pile of crap, just because there aren't any harsh rules/punishment. I'm all for adhering to it, but first these systems need to be put into place so they can be enforced.
I honestly mean no offense but, people have been complaining about these very problems for months only to be ignored. Nothing has changed and honestly, just like Whitelion I have very little faith that any positive change will occur.
A hypercube is the higher dimensional equivalent of a cube, in most cases, dimension four. In terms of general knowledge, there isn't a lot else to say about it. Obviously, one can't actually create or view a hypercube, as we don't exist in and can't really visually conceive higher dimensional space. However, the idea is that four dimensional space, for instance, would have at its origin four lines that all intersect at right angles with each other. A four dimensional hypercube, also known as a tesseract, would have corners such that at each corner, 4 rays each go outward such that they all create right angles with one another and any three rays mark the boundaries of a distinct three dimensional space(distinct in that any other three rays will mark the boundaries of a different three dimensional space from any other three rays).
In terms of viewing higher dimensional objects, they can be projected from R^N space to R^(N-1) space by means of a Schlegel diagram. To understand more about these, you would have to familiarize yourself with perspective and stereographic projections. However, here is a picture of the result of projecting a four dimensional hypercube into three dimensional space.
Show off...
Since that was taken. In a nutshell quantum mechanics are the rules that subatomic particles such as electrons, protons, quarks and possibly even smaller particles we haven't discovered yet (since last time I checked quarks were still theoretical.
Can I begin to explain it in more detail? Probably not. I'm going for political scientist, I know it has scientist in the name but, its not the same.
After reading through this entire thread, I am thinking of bringing up a rule where members can no longer criticize the actions of another user, unless they have something positive to say about the other party. However, I am very sure such a rule will have negative repercussions. Perhaps everyone should try to use the PM system to reason with the accused, and if talks fail, they could inform the Admins or Mods to warn the accused, especially if s/he is blantantly breaking the rules.
While I do respect your opinion Gambler, I feel that I must point out the fact that we do not need more rules. What we need is more enforcement of the existing ones. 1,000 rules that go unenforced are less beneficial than 10 rules that are.
I just had to comment on this. I recently tried to find the .gif war thread using the search function and for some reason it was on the 5th page... Search isn't always easy to find what your looking for. It makes things easier of course but sometimes it just doesn't yield any results you want :p
That is when you take it up with Jacob. Say "Hey! Jakup! Yer shits busted!"
Well yes obviously he deserves to go to jail he's clearly breaking the law.

Yeah, just modding them doesn't deserve the jail time.
Now, if he sold pirated games, I could understand, but this is ust ridiculous.
Yes, but he was selling the consoles so they could play pirated games which is just as bad.
Consoles are just as much copyright territory as games and movies so why would it be ok to sell moded consoles.
What about other things people mod, such as cars.
Would the copy righted territory include them? As long as they just mod their console (in ways that don't break the law such as what I pointed out earlier) or mod the consoles of others in a similar manner I see no problem with it.
Ramsus, your heart is in the right place. The community has problems that need fixing but, I don't think this is the way to go about bringing about positive change.
Really nothing will become of this. The users won't change their behavior, the rules won't be enforced, noobs still won't read the rules or stickied threads, nor will they use the search function.
Modding consoles isn't what I find wrong here. Many people mod the O.S. on their consoles for various reasons. Same goes for modding the outside of their console such as putting it in cases from different consoles like a P.S. in a Dreamcast case. Once you buy it then it is your property and you can do as you wish to it.
What I did find wrong is that he did or allowed other people to use pirated games on xbox live. This is a clear violation of the first portion of the Digital Millennium Copyrights act (D.M.C.R). This is pretty cut& dry from my perspective.
[size=10]The NWO is 'supposed' to be the Illuminati who is planning it.[/h]
New World Order is a general term for any degree of conspiracy theories ranging from Illuminati to alien invasions. This list is from Wikipedia
Illuminati
Freemasonry
Protocols of the Elders of Zion
Round Table
Open Conspiracy
Externalization of the Hierarchy
End Time
Fourth Reich
among many others.
I figured I'd throw this into the conversation as well. I'm currently watching this but, with anything you should do your own research and come to your own conclusion.
Once these are successfully removed from ever person on the planet and abundant resources are found so there is never a conflict over anything. Then you would have to dissolve all national borders, identities and minds of the individual then you will achieve world peace.
As for the soldier, don't hate the guy following orders, he doesn't really get a choice in the matter. Hate the man giving him orders.
