My question to everybody who is pro-choice.
Why should a life that hasn't even made an physical impact on the world be taken away? The only argument that is valid for abortion is the life of the mother being at stake. All others are for sheer sake of "convenience".
Reason1:"Wanted to postpone childbearing."
Should have used a condom and/or the pill.
Reason2:"Cannot afford a baby".
Should have used a condom and/or the pill. Can't afford them, then don't fuck. Simple as that.
Reason3:"Has relationship problem or partner does not want pregnancy".
You should have discussed that with your partner before hand. Also life sucks all around.
Reason4:"Too young; parent(s) or other(s) object to pregnancy"
Another life has to end because you were being a stupid and irresponsible child. Take responsibility for your actions.
Reason5:"Having a child will disrupt education or job."
You should have known the consequences of your actions. You fucked up and now you want that life to pay for your mistake.
Reason6: "Want no (more) children"
Should have been responsible, get your tubes tied, get the guy snipped, use a condom and/or the pill.
Reason7:"Risk to fetal health". Situational but, acceptable for certain reasons.
Reason8:"Risk to maternal health". Still acceptable
What 6 of 8 of these reasons say is "This (baby) will be an inconvenience to me therefore I should be allowed to destroy it." With all of our medical technology and intelligence you can't tell me people can make a decision and not realize the consequences of that decision. I won't include rape as a reason as it compasses of 1% of abortions in total.
Edit: I no longer have any real opinion on this argument as I am too apathetic about the whole thing to give a damn at this point. I just wanted to see how people reacted to this point. Anyways, nobody is willing to listen to the other side for any reason. You'll nod your head and say "I understand" but, you'll never sit and think on the matter from their point of view.

Sorry...had too much fun with quoting myself. Anyways Giratina
I think the U.S. government will go as far as the people armed with guns will allow them.
Freedom of Speech will be curbed in various ways so only popular speech is protected. Already now in the American politics anybody who opposes certain government expansions are shouted down with comments like "brooks brothers brigade, Racists, etc". With talk of granting control of the internet which is the last bastion of free speech over to the Federal Government it's not much of a stretch to see a country where opposition is silenced just like it is in China on the internet. You speak out, they "harmonize" your posts and start looking for you.
Right to bear arms is being curved under the notion that "You don't need that for anything other than hurting people." "Guns are bad". The current laws already make it near impossible for ordinary civilians to fight back if the government makes the decision to use the military as a police force. So, with people like them leading the charge. We'll be stripped of our ability to defend ourselves by law or by force.
With no arms to protect ourselves our third amendment to our bill of rights is nothing but, empty words. The soldiers want housing in my home and I refuse based on my rights, they can put a bullet in my head. Why? Because I'm powerless to stop them.
Without the ability to protect ourselves from overzealous police or military forces even the fourth Amendment is nothing but empty words. The police just break into your home (without a warrant) or search your car because they "suspect" you did something. How are you suppose to fight back? Use the legal system is is on the side of the police?
I could go on but, you get the point. Government is expanding and chipping away at civil liberties. The average citizen is either too lazy/distracted to care. The few who do care are essentially split amongst two parties that have nothing separating them except minor differences or the color of their ties.

I have had incidents where people abused the trust I placed in them when it comes to lending items or money. So now I hold collateral if anybody ever wants to borrow something of mine. Sign a contract that once all material is returned that they get their collateral back.
Borrow $100 from me? I hold your psp as collateral.

Nothing personal Haburi-Chan just be honest with us and we'll treat you like a member of the Fakkuza family.

Since my photo got no comments, perhaps I need to add one with a beard? Chest hair? My high school soccer mullet?Go with one of you jumping through an exploding helicopter sporting a Leonidas style beard and "300" style clothing (spear and shield included).
That'd probably be the best thing I would have ever seen.
In all seriousness, go with facial hair. Something about you not having it just throws it off.

I don't think he'd let me. He may have female parts, but I don't know if he'd be willing to accept the role as a woman. Lol...Damn right I wouldn't! If we switched genders there would be some FemDom happening.

You can't fix something that never worked in the first place. Obviously, these aren't the best working conditions.Yet, your ENTIRE argument is to maintain the status quo which obviously isn't working all because you fear S.T.D's will spread. You can't argue that prostitution needs to be stamped out either. Even in country's like Iran where the punishment for prostitution is death it still exists. At least I am proposing legalization so we can at least control the industry through laws and regulation instead of this anarchy in the streets which ties up funds to not only arrest both prostitutes and their clients but, also spent on incarcerating them. Tying up police department manpower in "vice squads" a.k.a. Decency Police. Leaving women to be abused without protection from the law, among all the other reasons I previously stated.
Edit: Zig, keep away from making this personal about anybody. His personal life has nothing to do with the discussion on hand. Also bringing it up doesn't add any merit to your argument. In fact, it undermines it.

If prostitution is legal - the girl can leave whenever she wants. Illegal prostitution, the girl cannot because her 'mananger' or pimp can hold a gun to her head.Don't forget that if it is legalized you can improve conditions. This is why we have groups such as O.S.H.A. and "workers rights". They exist to ensure that people have safe working conditions. You can report a brothel and be safe from repercussions. You can't report a pimp and expect to just "get away".
If conditions are poor you improve them. If something is broke you fix it.
It should be permitted under certain circumstances.
An individual should make preparations ahead of time when they are sound of mind. On what course of action they wish the doctors, family and whoever else involved should take. My friends and family all know that if I become incapable of living without a machine such as comatose or even severely brain damaged then they are to "pull the plug". This decision came after the debacle over the Terri Schaivo case of the family trying to prevent her feeding tube from being removed while her husband wanted it removed. All because her (Terri's) wishes were unable to be determined.
If a person makes adequate preparations ahead of time then I believe their wishes should be followed. Their body, their decision, nothing more. I see anybody who wishes to commit suicide because anything other than the highest degree of inability to function in society as nothing more than ultimately selfish and inconsiderate of the feelings of family and friends. Their death affects more than just the person dieing.
You should think long and hard on such a decision because, once they pull the plug that's it, lights out.
