Thanks for the rep. I put "a couple of years" down as an estimate not because I don't think it'll catch on slow (I think it's a good piece of technology to have) but rather because the market is slow due to worldwide recession. I too would like USB 3.0 capabilities, and I find that moving 25GBs of stuff takes like a hour - wtf?! But I'm in no rush or anything, so it doesn't matter. I'm thinking that after we get out of this recession, it'll catch on much faster. Newer computer/laptop models would automatically incorporate said USB 3.0, and it wouldn't be a problem because you mentioned it has backwards compatability with USB 2.0. In all probability it'll be incorporated into comps quite easily, but it's the other products that rely on the USB 2.0 to transfer data that will take longer for the facelift. (MP3 players, smart phones, PDAs, digital/video cameras, printers/scanners/copiers, etc.) After all, people have to think if it'll benefit them to install said USB 3.0, and if it does, when should they start renovating products to include the 3.0? That's a tricky thing.

I mean, there are hentai where you know it's just going to have a bad ending, but I hate those that start good, get bad, and then everything gets resolved nicely, then something bad happens in like the last minutes. My only other complaint (after seeing the brand) is that it's a dell - I've had my share of trouble with Dell, with 2 laptops. I just don't trust their products. But the specs sound more than enough for your regular needs. It's really gaming and other graphics intensive programs like CAD that put the burn to the money for better graphics/speed.

I think it'll take awhile for the USB 3.0 to catch on, least not within the next couple of years. The normal user doesn't need speeds of that range for normal usage, and even if we're dumping video files and other whatnot, USB 2.0 is fine unless you're doing stuff in a hurry (for what I dunno) or you're doing something illegal/bad and the cops/parents will bust you, which is highly unlikely.

But you're getting for what you're paying for, except I think cheaper. The graphics/vid card isn't that great, but that's only if you're an intense video game player that you'll need a better card. Processor speed could be better, but like I said, if you're not a hardcore or even the average gamer, that doesn't matter.

I'm just a Yuki Kajiura fan in arms, brother. As for her vocals work, anything done by FictionJUNCTION is good stuff to work with. Some other songs I recommend from Yuki Kajiura that are from OSTs: Mezame, Ensei, Voices silently sing, Break the sword of justice, Believe, Through the gate, Ruthless, Lost my wings.

Well, to be honest, we ALL saw Makoto as a despicable character coming from a million miles away.

I'm surprised that the two main characters of Fushigi Yugi are vilified as annoying characters... I figure Yui Hongo would be more of a despicable character. I'm going to read Fushigi Yugi... when I get the chance this winter break.

If you're going to use a song from Yuki Kajiura, try "A Song of Storm and Fire," - it's fucking epic.
