• Card machines were down so we were cash-only today. Customers kept draining my £1 coins by paying with notes or didn't have cash on them so I had to hold their things while they got money out. One woman had a £70 shop and she came back just as I was about to clock off.

• Had a stuck up cow who didn't read the "technical difficulties with card payments" sign and got really shitty with me for not mentioning that we couldn't do card payments before I scanned her stuff through, so said she wasn't going to bother and walked out.

• Another dumb fuck referred to me as a lady to their kid. I may have my hair tied back into a ponytail but I quite clearly have a beard and you heard me talking to the customer in front of you, and I don't exactly sound feminine.

17th July
I finally got a couple of Saturdays off work, since I've been doing 10-6 shifts every Saturday for the past 3 months, only to find out I'm working the next 3 Saturdays again. Possibly more.

It was nice catching up with the charity shop lot while it lasted.
I missed my till buddy especially.

This happened again. Only this time I was doing the early with him so it was my turn to call around and tell my coworkers what's happened and get a keyholder in to open up. We opened half an hour late and he turned up at half 12 claiming his alarm clock didn't go off.

He has a meeting with our area manager on Friday which didn't look good to begin with because of what happened last time, and this shit happening again has pretty much sealed his fate.

• A ham and tomato sandwich (note to self: canned ham tastes weird and is tricky to slice)

• Spicy chicken and salad. Left me wanting more chicken though, were only small bits that were mostly bone.

• And I had 3 pots of flavoured yoghurt.

Edit: Just now had 4 burgers to myself. By which I mean the actual patties, not individual burgers in buns.

I need to do something about my apetite. Not giving in to junk food binges would be a nice start.

Does this include having to buy duplicates of games I used to own because I was horrible at keeping them scratch free? Because that happened a lot while I was a teenager.

I bought a model of Stingray on Amazon because I've wanted one ever since I was a kid, and the wonders of modern internet allowed me to make my childhood dream a reality. Great quality and quite heavy, but at the time I was partly regretting buying it. Now I don't.

I've never had free food from a messed up order but I feel for anyone in the food industry on busy periods.

Recently went to a pub in the middle of nowhere for my Uncle's birthday. Can't remember what it's called now. Staff were all super friendly, food was awesome, they didn't care about dogs; which was handy since one of my aunts decided to take hers with her. I wouldn't have minded but she's a licker, and one of the waitresses had top notch tits.
10/10 would go again.

And good luck loading web pages in a hurry, while mobile internet has come a long way in the last decade it's still shite. Use wifi wherever you can.

And there's not much point in SMS messaging charges anymore. The free texts you get with tariffs, iMessage and WhatsApp basically render them obsolete. I understand it's to put them behind a paywall so you have to top up, but basic contact is so every day now it shouldn't cost 10-fucking-p a text.
