i think i answer before on another post but...fresno, ca the most boring place in the world.
i'm from nicolas romero mexico, do you think your city's boring??
mine isnt even considered a city it's just a small town with less than million habitants
300,000 people in my city.
Neither of those towns are small. There is not even 70,000 people where I live. The closest neighboring town is 25 minutes away by train.

I dont drift, I just power slide. Im not sure but I (personally) think drifting wears off the tires more.yes it certainly does...just one of those downsides to the sport
Yeah that isn't a personal opinion. Drifting definetly wears your tires down. I went on a drifting course once (paid and in a car with a driver in the passenger seat)
I only drifted like three time after three laps and like 10 turns every lap. But those three times were pretty cool.
Not all art is a job. So of it is people trying to make a living off their hobby. If your Art isn't commercially viable, it isn't making money, and it isn't helping the economy, it isn't a job.
Making paintings in your house that get put on display in places that don't pay you to display your art isn't a job. Getting a commision to create a mural downtown is. Getting city money to put on a play that people pay to attend or is free because it is beneficial to the city is a job. Working at starbucks during the day and practicing with your band at night does not mean you have two jobs if your band doesn't take in more money then you spend on it. It only means your TRYING to get another job.
And why are people bringing Wars into this? Just because money is spent somewhere else, American politics have shown it doesn mean we won't spend money in another place as well. The point is should government fund artist - specificly when that art isn't contributing but only stimulating the economy indirectly?

Sadly, you are just going to miss Fukuro Matsuri. It is a pretty neat festival where they actually try to get foreigners to participate in traditional japanese things like drums, folk dancing, and carrying mikoshi. I think is always the last week of September so you'll just miss it.
If your still in Tokyo on the 10th though, I will tell you now - SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR THE TENTH.
Dai Ginza Matsuri starts and sales go on like crazy. Even big name companies have mad sales. It is a little hectic, but you can get some really cool things for cheap. If you buy any high price souviners, you might want to ask if it is going on sale first when Dai Ginza Matsuri starts. Plus, this festival has crazy cool parades. I went to it, and being from lousiana it reminded me of a mellower Mardi Gras (Mardi Gras without drunkenness and girls flashing you).

You can try to stop it but the pirate's will still win... can't stop the interwebs.I don't think they are trying to stop the pirates, they are trying to stop how they distribute.
The idea seems to be that while people will still pirate, the majority of people will find it too much of a hassle. A lot of people wouldn't know what to do if they couldn't stream anime - even if ddl and IRC were still available.
Doesn't matter. That was the point of making the website itself a defendant in a case and not the owner. Before, if you lived overseas then you're out of US jurisdiction. Now they are going to target your website, so at the very least you'll be blocked in the US.
I dunno why everyone thinks its stupid. It isn't like the movie is going to be about farms and comments and liking videos your friends link you to. Its about how some college got semi drunk, thought "What if I make this thing where everyone can make their own webpage and communicate with each other?". He was drunk and bold enough to try it, and before he knew it he stumbled onto an opportunity to gain women, fame, and fortune. Dealing with billions of dollars, he got in over his head, had to play ball with the big boys, and still came out on top.
Thats pretty epic.
