I'm curious what the results of this poll will be, I have always thought of the manga section as the most important.
What do you think the most important section on the site is? And why?

I just finished adding SWAN SONG to the Visual Novel section along with detailed installation instructions and download links. We frequently talk about the game in our Visual Novel and Eroge panel when we do conventions, so if you have some free time it is well worth playing. It was translated by Yandere Translations.
Additionally, Rance 1 has been translated! Which is the first game in the Rance series by Alicesoft (some of you may be familiar with Sengoku Rance). It's a very old game and it's age shows, but it's a fun play if you're a fan of the series. It was translated by the Rance Translation Project, and they plan to translate the rest of the games in the series!
I also fixed the hentai shorts and cosplay porn sections.

This game was translated by Yandere Translations and they deserve all credit for its English release. Topic credit goes to Xel Naga and his original upload thread for the game, which can be found here. It contains additional download links and discussion. You can also view this game in the Visual Novels section. This game was created by Le.Chocolat.

It’s a snowy Christmas Eve… Everything seems so peaceful when a huge earthquake occurs. The earthquake causes the city to be in ruins, and the surviving people need to find ways to stay alive. Some go crazy and rob others, some cling onto God, some gather to live together. The six main characters meet at a church while they were trying to find shelter from the snow. What will they see and experience in this extreme situation…?[/b]

Strange. We completely dropped the ad company that was letting those ads through. Most of the current ads are hosted on our servers. So there really shouldn't be an issue anymore.
In addition to uploading those flash games yesterday I fixed all of the download links in the Desktop Games and Doujin Soft sections. And I added True Love, one of my favorite old school hentai games.
And here are some new uploads
Enjoy!

And Jacob hasn't discussed this already.
Uh, do you mean Jacob already discussed this? If so, can I have the link?

I still feel bad about losing all that forum data yesterday (especially since it has spawned topics like this, which I am having a lot of fun reading through). So to make it up to everyone I have fixed the Flash Games section and added a couple new titles, and I plan on adding more over the next week. Just click "Play Online" on any of the game pages.
I highly recommend playing Divi-Dead, it is an awesome game with a great story. The flash version is a little buggy though so if you start playing be sure to save frequently.

Personally I am a big fan of spring. I live in the north eastern United States where we get a ton of snow during the winter, so when it finally melts and spring starts it feels awesome.

Maybe we should start a pool or something where we guess how long it's going to be before the next fakkup.Hmm my bet is on 3 months. We'll break something again in 3 months.
So tonight we had some pretty big server issues that resulted in a good amount of forum post data gone missing. We are actively trying to fix it, but the outlook at the moment is grim. It appears that this will only affect posts made over the past month. And unfortunately there was an issue with our backups as well, so we may not be able to recover the data. But on the bright side we fixed a lot of older uploads that had been broken due to an encoding bug, so at least there's that.
Moral of the story: make backups of your backups.
Here is a recap post of everything I have uploaded over the past month. And any uploaders reading this can feel free to make a similar front page posts with your uploads.

Today I bring you something a little different. Some of you may be aware of the recent amendment (Tokyo's Bill 156) passed in Tokyo restricting the sale of "harmful publications". This has widely been misinterpreted online as the death of ecchi manga and hentai or the "anime and manga ban". Though the bill is something that should be opposed due to it's attack on freedom of speech, its implications were greatly exaggerated by the English speaking community.
In response to the bill manga creator Takeshi Nogami (Sailor-fuku to JÅ«sensha, Panzer fräulein ALTESEISEN), anime writer and setting advisor Takaaki Suzuki (Strike Witches, Last Exile), and translator Dan Kanemitsu (new Evangelion films, Love Hina) collaborated on a doujinshi about the amendment. It mainly involves Tokyo governor Shintaro Ishihara who strongly supported the bill and signed it into law. There are also Japanese essays at the end of the doujinshi which I could not find translations for (if you have the translations, post them!) Click the image below to check it out.
Oh, and it's in English.
