I wish these were vacations, but unfortunately they are not.

Mike and I just got home from Tomodachi Fest in Idaho, all of our panels went awesome and we had a good time meeting everyone. I wasn't expecting it to be so cold and snowy and devoid of potatoes, but I was pretty impressed with the place and the people are wicked friendly. As I was boarding the plane home I got the official call inviting me to return as a guest, so we'll be back in Idaho next year!

I want to give to give some attention to Mike's tumblr, where he blogs about anime and whatever else is on his mind (including a more detailed recap of Tomodachi Fest). Mike has been a huge help at conventions over the past year, and he is one of the best guys I know (and one of the best people I have met through FAKKU). I'm on Windows XP right now and it's working fine.

So Mike and I will be giving the Visual Novels and Eroge panel at Tomodachi Fest in a couple of hours, and I just decided that we would talk about the first hentai game I ever played: True Love.

This is an old old DOS hentai game from the 90s that I loved and without it I probably wouldn't have made FAKKU. You choose from several different activities to do each day to increase your stats in relevant areas, and then girls start getting interested in you based on what you choose. Work out a lot and you have a chance with the sporty girl, study a lot and you have a chance with the smart girl, etc.

If you want to try it out there are some download links below as well as some screenshots, but be warned it is really old. Just put the "True Love" folder in your C:/ directory (in Windows) and run the registry file and it should work.

We found out that it's licensed in the United States, so rather then get in trouble we took it down. I'll send some emails and see if it's possible to bring it back up.

One of the things people ask me the most at conventions is "Why don't you ever update the video section?" and I usually reply with a casual, "We're working on it". Well today we are officially launching some streaming videos, starting with some of the best. Go check out the streaming section and start watching!

Posting a link to a news article about animal cruelty is not a bannable offense. There should be plenty of warning ahead of time, but it is a topic that can be discussed in a mature manner.

Do you have javascript disabled? The new viewonline page uses ajax and requires javascript.

At the moment I am planning to keep the "last post" issue the way it is. It is not a bug and is working as intended. I made the decision to change it and for now I am standing by it.

And yes, fixing the manga search is significantly more important.

So what did you do while FAKKU was down? I ran around in a panic, praying to the heavens that it would come back online soon and everything would be ok. Unfortunately that didn't happen and we were down for almost two weeks.

We have officially recovered from the longest downtime in the history of FAKKU. I apologize for being gone so long. One thing failed after another partnered with myself and unpantsu flying around the country and being nowhere near a computer. Hopefully in our absence some of you ventured outside into the sun (just kidding there are bears out there stay inside).

But I need your help. We were gone for almost two weeks, and I'm sure the Internet has forgotten about us. So if you run a blog, POST A LINK TO FAKKU. If you use other forums, POST A LINK TO FAKKU. If you use the tweeterer and the tumblerblogerer and the facebooks, POST A LINK TO FAKKU. Tell everyone you know (including your grandparents) that FAKKU is back online and kicking more ass than ever before.
