The issues with the online store forced us to push out a front-end redesign of the website a little earlier than we wanted. You'll probably notice some subtle changes to colors and layout around FAKKU that make things look nicer across devices (dark mode also got an update). But because it was pushed out before it was 100% done, there will be some bugs that we will work to fix ASAP (like this one). Here's a separate thread regarding the order status and store updates.

Here is where you can discuss general bugs with the design that are not related to orders, purchasing, checkout, etc. that we'll be following and trying to resolve

UPDATE: It appears order receipts before 2018 are missing as well as some random ones since then. Because we are exporting this info from Shopify and importing it back to FAKKU, it'll probably take some time to get everything sorted. Prioritize looking for issues related to the items in the orders that do show up, and making sure your shipping info is listed correctly for any pending pre-orders.

In the meantime, we are going to move forward getting digital purchasing back online!
---

Let's keep this thread specific to issues with the store and purchasing, as getting that functionally back online as soon as possible is our main focus.

Getting digital purchases back online requires 3 steps.

1: New Design Online

2: Order History (showing past purchases)

3: Shopping Cart + Checkout

Step 1 and Step 2 are now complete! We've been crunching hard the past 2 weeks to get them done and I'm feeling pretty good about it. The site should actually be noticeably faster than it was previously. I'd like to ask anyone reading this to go take a look at your Order History and make sure it looks correct. This is actually the first time this info is available on the main FAKKU website and it's going to allow us to do a lot of cool things in the future. You should be able to find all of your past orders, tracking numbers, etc.

If something looks wrong to you, let me know in this thread or email me directly if you want to keep things private jacob@fakku.net.

Digital purchases will be back online shortly after we confirm that the order history is accurate and working for everyone.

Apologies this happened during the sale, I was able to get the issue fixed mid-day Sunday so hopefully some of you were able to get these items at their sale price after the fix.

Yeah you shouldn't be getting any promotional emails (I see you're opted out).

You were not on the mailing list for the TSF Monogatari book that just went out, are you sure it's not another account/email from your main one?

Since there is no name in the email, I can't confirm that. I know I had an very old/ never used account which settings are disabled too. To be sure, I reconfirmed the settings again.

However, since you checked that I wasn't in the mailing list, I'll wait if I get another email in the future or not. Thanks again for checking.

I would check the email and make sure it matches the one on your current account.

If it doesn't, send me an email and I can investigate the other account.

Some countries we are unable to accept payment from, if I had to guess you might be in one of those countries.
Looks like it's working now
Thanks for pointing this out, will be working on a fix soon.
This is an interesting idea, I'll keep an eye on it.
Should be working now! Apologies for the downtime, some of our servers were experiencing connectivity issues.
Don't worry, we're all still here! You'll see more staff members starting to post on the forums soon.
UPDATE: Issue may be fixed now?

Just dropping in to say that we are aware of this issue, and will work to fix it the best we can.

There will always be a distinct separation between the FAKKU Store (store.fakku.net) and the main site (www.fakku.net)

But the shopping carts between the two could (if we are able to) combine if you have items in your cart from either site.
The titles on some of them are weird, but the books are legit!

We've been working on improving our international distribution, so you will see FAKKU Books appearing at retailers around the world. We'll be posting more details soon!
Everyone at FAKKU is rooting for you!

These issues have been fixed! Thanks for pointing them out.

But I rather have it complete gone from my screen instead a fade out.

I think the solution (I have no idea when I'll be able to develop this) is to have both a mute and block feature for tags. Mute would have the current functionality with the fade out, blocking would make it completely inaccessible to you. In general, we don't want to make something completely inaccessible, but giving users the option between two levels of hiding stuff might work.
Good news everyone! Because of this thread, I spent the weekend coding the blocklist feature and it is now available for users with beta features turned on.

Now when going to an attribute page (like vanilla), you'll see an ellipsis menu that includes the option to block the attribute.

This will cause any content with that attribute to be faded out across the website.

block-example-800.png

Along with this, now content that has attributes you are following, will include an icon to show that you should check it out.
Might extend this to show other icons, like if something is in one of your collections.

All that said, I'm really happy to finally deliver this feature after 5 years! There are undoubtedly a few bugs, so let me know if you have any issues.

P.S. Now you can never unsubscribe 🙏

Definitely, purchasing items will give you points.

I sincerely hope purchasing points will be retroactive.
I own every book and almost every doujin. I've spent
thousands, and I'll be severely disappointed if none
of it counts toward points.

It will be retroactive! You'll probably have the most FAP points on the website once it's ready, you'll be a FAP god.

I'm not sure I agree with the incentives you've laid out for writing reviews. I, like H-Connoisseur, have spent thousands of dollars on hundreds of doujinshi, and in order to maximize my FAP, I need to write reviews for every single thing. It's clearly in my best interest to write a one sentence review saying "it's good!" for everything if I want to get the maximum points in the least amount of time. If I didn't really care for something, I now have to go through the calculation of "Do I want the only negative review on this doujinshi to be attached to my name? Do I want to make this comment section just a little bit worse for the sake of a little FAP?"

Just look at any reasonably popular recent manga on the site. You launched the tasks like a week ago, and the comments section is already a deluge of one line five star reviews.

This is a good point, @YQII suggested internally that we adjust the reward based on review length. So maybe writing a lengthy review gets you 100 FAP max, but only a words results in 50. Alternatively, we may be able to base it on upvotes. Since users can upvote/downvote each others reviews, it would be a good way to judge how helpful they are.
Good news! I believe I was able to identify and fix this issue today.

It had to do specifically with when a product was part of a collection, in this case both Our Summer Vacation and POOTERS Box Set ran into the issue.

Because this randomly prevented people from checking out with their cart, it was a pretty big issue. I appreciate ya'll bringing it to our attention, and if anything remotely like this pops up again let us know and post your cart contents in this thread.
Following up on my earlier comment, you can now convert existing comments into 5-star reviews (and receive credit for completing the task).
