I think it's possible. It'd just be really demanding. And it would help if you developed those skills as well. The only I lack in regards to your dreams are better Japanese linguistic skills... and ability to draw faster and repetitively.

And to make this post meaningful, there's another character that's beginning to get on my rage radar: Luke from Tales of Abyss. What an annoying and spoiled BRAT.
Gundam 00: there's a shitload of characters that I hate, namely Ali Al-Saachez, the Gundam Thrones, Saji Crossroad, Louise Halevy, A-Laws, etc. etc. I could go on, but I find myself surprised at hating a major portion of the characters, even if it's coming from an Gundam series.

@ShaggyJebus: Well, I was thinking more along the lines of humanity bonding together due to a common cause, aka an enemy that forces all nations to work together. In Gundam 00 it was Celestial Being, and in the the Ender and Bean series, it was the Buggers/Piggies/Jane. And both series ended up creating a space colonization program to propagate the human species.

We'd just have to rely entirely on fansubs. I could deal with that. I would be more pissed if the manga market went down. I dislike reading it on a screen.
