Like this band for example. Totally underground famous. Not famous because of a million youtube views but because of word of mouth and a shit ton of shows around the globe opening for other bands and playing low key gigs.

I made this thread in hopes of hearing others thoughts and feelings on their shitty jobs and how they deal with it. Don't get me wrong, I understand that you gotta do what you gotta do to get by but I just want to offer a place for fellow fakkers to vent if they so choose.

To start this thread off I'll contribute my own piece about my shitty job.

I come from a lower middle class family who taught me that the real world isn't easy. As a teenager I brushed it off as bs. The present me would love to go back in time and smack the shit out of my teenage self and instill a harsh reality on how shit works in the real world. I'm not completely retarded but there are a lot of things I can't completely comprehend.

Sometimes I feel as though that when they were giving out brains I got the shittiest one while everyone else got the top of the line brain. I'm rambling now so lets move on to the point of this thread. I'm a musician by passion but in the real world that doesn't get you paid unless enough people give a shit about what you are doing. For now I live with my folks paying them rent and working as a dishwasher at some shitty pub in a South-Western town in Canada. I'm what you'd call a germaphobe but since my boss is a cheap, stupid, high, drunk I have to be responsible for not only washing dirty dishes submerged in bacteria infested sludge but I also have to touch clean dishes with my filthy fucking hands (because if I stop to wash my hands more dishes will pile up.

I'm also responsible for making deserts so when an order for desert comes up I have to stop trying to clean the huge fucking mountain of dishes and pour chocolate syrup on a rectangular plate, throw a piece of cheese of cheesecake and top it off with a few little dollops of store bought whip cream. The horrible thing about the place I work is that people here just don't give a fuck and I sadly have stopped giving a fuck as well.

It's all about getting a paycheck. Not about doing a good job, not about giving customers quality service and quality food. It's all about making fucking money. Sure, making money is good, but I feel like an asshole the way I have to work to get by. Unfortunately that is the reality I've been dealt.

UPDATE!

I sent in a resume online to Carl's jr last night and today I got a phone call for an interview the same day. I went in and talked to the manager and she was basically trying to sell me the job as opposed to me trying to sell myself with my credentials. Turns out I was a perfect fit and was hired the same day. I just brought my letter of resignation to my shitty job tonight (May 5th) and I start training on Sunday. I got lucky, but I hope everyone else finds something better. Carl's jr isn't a dream job by a long shot but at least they give a fuck about foodsafe and will give me a chance for advancement within the company. Also I don't have to worry about massive piles of dishes anymore (except for the last 2 weeks since I'm going to work my last scheduled hours).

Either way; the fact that she did is impressive in itself. If she really is a fellow weeb then she most likely was aware that we neckbeards and others would be creaming in our pants at the sight of her in her pink striped panties.

The underground music scene is flourishing. I don't know how many bands I've discovered who aren't signed to a record label and they kick ass. Henry Rollins said it best when he said "Music is alive and well....".
