i've been doing perspective drawings all day, so i'd thought i take a break and end the night with some cool downs in the more human realm.

First off Lets start with the master study. Ive layed it out in the previous post now comes the guelling task of learning how he makes the lines and where. its a constant struggle to put down lines and erase mistakes.
http://bp3.blogger.com/_6wmaiGMb0Vs/R2yo4IZdq1I/AAAAAAAAAGk/Ln1Pq8U3GAE/s1600-h/0160.jpg
ok here are original sketchbook drawings.
now for those of you who've been doing the magazine completion you'll find the first post related to the three minute drawings.
http://bp0.blogger.com/_6wmaiGMb0Vs/R2yvQYZdq3I/AAAAAAAAAG0/WCiEMvxu2og/s1600-h/20071221002web.jpg
The final original drawing is the step that comes after magazine completion its the cleaning up of lines. You can start by going back to some of your magazine completion images and picking out your favorite one. Remember to start out lightly and build up your pencil lines on the correct line.

Its a great book i actually own a hard copy of it :D
EDIT
Here is another image from last week. It was done through chaos drawing, by scribbling lines and picking out a shape and designing by stream of conscince

I'm working with an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) so i cant really scan whats in my sketchbook and the project is taking away my sketchbook time anyway..not that i'm not drawing i just cant share. So i've prepared a couple of pages one done each day about the curves in the human body and their simplification for memorization, quick sketching and self correction.
Simplify the curves and learn their relationship to each other.

Ok so this is my forst post since fakku went down on monday. I started an project thats consuming some of my free time, and it will until Thursday. But that does not mean i'm not practicing. Here is a snapshot of the master study i am working on.
Hyung-Tae Kim Oxide2x pg. 0160

The whole point is to copy as closely the original art in order to understand what the artist was thinking and to pick up some solutions to your own drawing challenges. I highly recommend this exercise. Just remeber to credit the artist who originally created the image by signing with "done after ...."

yeah i've got the same problems of focusing more on the face than the rest of the body. I think i'll start doing anatomy tutorials and i'll get around to doing some clothes too.
Todays upload is another video. Its inspired from Bridgemans Complete Guide to Drawing from life. George Bridgeman.
On pages 12 - 15 Bridgeman shows a step by step on how to draw in the full figure. I drew this while looking at each picture so you may see what goes on between the picture changes. Quick 3 min video, hopefully this will help some of you get started in sketching.
Also i highly recommend this book to anyone interested in drawing which contains the human figure. The ideas presented in the book are mind blowing, unfortunately the drawings aren't that clear, this book is form copies of copies of copies of charcaol drawings. So supplement this book with another anatomy book like Jeno Barcsay or Feher, unfortunately these are good reproductions but stiff medical drawings of cadavers, Bridgemen has got life in his drawings. His originals look like the reproductions in the human figure by Vanderpoel Another recommended book.

Ryuuu: Glad you stop by and visit. Thank you. As long as you nad others are interested. I will do my best to share with you.

Please dont take this the wrong way i'm trying to be helpful in my critisim and this is the best way i can explain what i'm thinking. Keep up the images.
Lets start todays sketching post with a little inspiration, Adam Hughes.
Ive scanned one of his convention sketchbooks all with the title untitled plus some more b/w and color images i've found lying around.

Well for the last 2 weeks i've been posting sketches here and i'm sure there are ppl who see my sketches and are like, wtf are those, this idiot cant draw...you're probably right..i cant, but whis section is for sketches, its intent is to allow ppl to share where ever they are, if youre a beginner or if youre the shit. Also i wanted to give ppl a chance who want to learn to develop good habits of drawing and posting everyday. I believe that is the only way to be great. Now ppl are discuraged when they see a sketchbook of a person like Adam Hughes and they think thats how they draw each picture everyday and everytime he picks up a pencil. HE may or he may not, but i've seen non commerical sketchbooks of artists just as good and you know what, some have good days some have bad days but all of them started out drawing sausage muscles and deformed feet, hands and faces.
Well to continue my rant, when you have put together a sizable leaf of sketches you look through them and you pick out one that has feeling or one that you can see where it needs to go to get completed. This is to change the pace and also to practice other tools and the marks that they make. Then go with it. Not every painting has to be a rembrandt or a michealangelo or a hyung-tae kim. but if you dont practice you can forget about being mentioned in the list.
btw it also builds confidence and speed.

lolibee:
The design good. i dont think you need to put more thought into it but if you want to crate a chracter you should try in different poses to get a feeling for the character no just how it behaves but the kind of "weight" it has.
Trailing Saliva. This one looks like its ready to be colored though you might try to clean up the lineart layer with photoshop curves or just redrawing the lineart layer with line pressure sensitivity in your wacom. and ps
