Well, real-life opinions may differ as to how effective "sex to overwrite an unwanted memory" really is. For now, Akira seemed to get over her one-sided crush, and perhaps that alone is good enough. As for the possibility of a future with Ryouta ... that's probably up to the artist whether to do a sequel.
