Vanilla is the romance novel equiv to the hentai fanbase. Nothing wrong with it. Some people don't look for it in a relationship, and other people do. Some people are just romantics are heart. And other people just like happy sex and know that vanilla is the safest place to find that.

We have a ton of books in the office, most of which Wani sends us to check out. Sorry, I don't want to dash any hopes, but that's really how it is. This was just the latest batch Wani sent us. Some which we have announced, others which we haven't.

Erotic comics have always had a market here in the US, and not just on the Furry or the anime/doujinshi market. Look at stuff like Barbarella, the majority of the stuff Last Gasp publishes, Alan Moore's Lost Girls, Milo Manara, Elementals (Bill Willingham), all of HEAVY METAL, and that's not even mentioning the successful kickstarters I've seen recently.
Doxy is a success story of an independent artists making it big without ever being published by a company, but don't think publishers aren't publishing erotic comics, and don't think the big names of the comic industry aren't writing them.
People can claim that "no one pays for porn", but you also have to realize these are also comics. That gives them a different sort of value to a particular type of collector and reader, and I can guarantee you most any adult comic fan has stumbled across erotic comics at some point.

Hey guys, come now. We can all get along together to celebrate hentai. NTR may not personally be my thing, but I can see the quality there in the fantastic art, and I'm not about to deny anyone their likes, especially if it brings variety to Fakku.

Doxy and all Western artist are fully aware of and personally submit their work on Fakku. We do not randomly go out and post stuff without the artist's permission. Some of the work posted on Fakku is even commissioned by us.
And there are no works "done by scanlator team posted and rebrand(ed)". If a scanlator has worked on Wani stuff, there may be a scanlated version of it in existence, but all Fakku books and Magazine work is done in-house, from translations (either Sayo or YQII) to the final edited product. The only thing we get from elsewhere are the files directly from the Japanese publisher. We don't take the work of scanlators for these releases.

We have however published two of Gujira's chapters with the subscriptions (one of which will be in the book) and any future chapters he releases with the magazines will also be released the month we get them.

I'm fairly certain that the only thing in terms of hentai that is illegal in Canada is anything that depicts someone under 18 (one of our competitors prints their hentai in Canada). If you don't want to risk it, you should be fine as long as you don't read loli.

I can't really help you with the translation aspect, but type setting is a totally different skill set. Unless you have a graphic design degree or background with it, it's not something you can easily just get into. I have a degree, and before that I scanlated/worked on comics, so you need to start small and work your way up in that department.

I like most everythig, though I can rarely stomach anything that gets violent. I do tend to love the sweet vanilla, but that said Kito Sakeru is perhaps the artist I find most fun out of the stuff I've worked on/read. And anything that makes me laugh my butt off (Kito does this already) is always a plus, like Fujimaru.
So in no particular order some of my favorite artists:
Savan, Picao, Yamada no Seikatsu ga Daiichi, Henreader, Takahashi Note, Hamao, Kito Sakeru, Fujimaru, Kaduchi, Solopip B, Kuroiwa Madoka, Azuma Tesshin.
Also adore Doxy's stuff.

A lot of us in the Fakku office are women, and we talk about it ALL THE TIME. Course it's our job, but we also talk about it with some other female users via twitter and the like.
The crazier the stuff happening in the hentai, the better. Amusing one-liners that crack us up are a big topic, but mainly it's about how cute the girl is for us. "Omg, look at her face here...
That and damn that's a big dick.
And the other big topic that comes to mind... conversations about hentai sex vs real life sex, (mainly stuff like cervix smashing) that's just not possible IRL.
Me? I really like to judge boobs, and "boobs will or won't do that irl".

All to say, there's a big difference to what you want from an Illustration/Picture versus a Chapter so it'd be nice to be able to save those.
The only possibility as of now is to Screenshot it and create a picture from Paint/Whatever which "kind of" work with two-pages spreads if you have a wide screen, you just lose a bit of the original resolution. But then there's that other solo page that you'll lose a lot of to fit it in the screen.
So that's about what I had to say. It may sound like I'm complaining (Which I am actually) but I really like Fakku a lot and respect what they're doing. There's just that detail they missed that Illustration =/= Chapter and we need to be able to download those fantastic images. =)
We plan on making most of the spreads into wallpapers, and have already done a couple..

If money is exchanged it's still a commercial sale. Albeit a very small one, but artist have to pay taxes on stuff like this if any profit is made. Non-commercial would be if there was no profit made.
