I think more people are more aware of existing (scanalated) books that they enjoyed and so tend to base their requests on their known wants/needs rather than the unknown ones. If they don't know such and such published a chapter in the latest such and such magazine, they're not going to request it. If they had enough Fluency in Japanese to know about it, well then they probably wouldn't be requesting it either. But I don't think requests for licensed releases of already scanlated works is going to go away. People want to see the works they love available, legally.

It can also be in some cases, where a fan of such previously scanlated work admired it so much they want to support the artist and a legal option here in the US. Previously when I worked on scanlations of non-h manga, and Viz or Yen Press would license a title, that was it. We'd call our job done, and find a new title, and then happily buy the legit release. Not everyone wants to just read everything digitally. Some people like owning physical objects.

As to the question as to why something took longer to release legit when it was previously scanlated by the same group - artwork is completely different, and the translation will more than likely take some reworking as well. Fakku takes pride in every book, and wants to make sure they're no less than perfect.

No doubt there will be some differences noticed when we begin releasing books that already have had some chapters released through the subscription service. Artwork for those will also more than likely be different for the book release because the Japanese publishers tend to do some changes on their end between a magazine release and a tankobon release.

Tentacle Bento was the bait of feminist media attention. @_@

Not afraid. Just about everyone at Fakku is a feminist, and a large portion of us are female. Contrary to what's been stated on the net, "feminist" is not a scary word nor should be be paraded around as a word equating something bad. If anyone comes around to go on about how this is anti-feminist, I'll be happy to discuss with them how La Blue Girl is actually pretty damn feminist, and then happily go on for pages and pages about how comics are art and should never be censored.
Romana FAKKU Letterer
That's the thing. These are comics, not amateur videos someone created at no cost. There's a whole bunch of people involved in the creation of comics, from drafting to publishing, and the all porn should be free excuse can only go so far. Yes, these are erotic comics, but erotic comics are still comics, and thankfully there is enough of a fanbase that wants to support their favorite artists by purchasing the work.

As far as I know the only Range Murata content in the magazines are spreads/random artwork, so that's why he gets listed with the other artists. He just doesn't do manga. Even what I know of his doujinshi that he's released in the past are just artbooks/sketchbooks. Not manga.

We do plan to include the random artwork pages he contributes when we begin packaging the magazines to view as magazines instead of just chapters.
Romana FAKKU Letterer
They'll also randomly rip open and check packages in media mail sooo... that's not always very fun to have a package ripped into.

I'm still bitter over sending a box of books through media mail, them inspecting it, but then doing a crap job of re-wrapping the package and half the books in the box falling out and being lost.

I don't know why you can't seem to find it, but it's there. Here's a direct link. The official subscription chapters are anything but censored.

Romana FAKKU Letterer
what Tsujoi said. The monster girl tag has returned, but if it's not popping up for you it may be under the controversial filter which you can edit in your settings.

On average 2, sometimes though 3.

We're still working on it, however I believe the main holdup with paypal is it doesn't want to approve us due to the nature of some of our content.

Well I'm not a subscriber, but I'm one of the magazine editors, but I'm sure some of them will pop up and tell you their experiences. Since you're very limited on your income and unsure, I would say try it for a month, you can cancel after a month if it ends up being too much for your income.

If your time really is limited you might not be able to get through all the subscriber chapters in that time period (we did over 150 chapters in the first month, but that was because of backlog, it'll be on average two chapters a day). I'd say try it out, then just subscribe whenever you find you can afford it for the month.

I've personally worked on a number on incest chapters, though it's usually a cousins situation, but there have been a couple bother/sister chapters as well., some by famous well known artist, others by some who have never before been published in English. My favorite brother/sister chapter so far has been I Hate You, by Madoka, who has fantastic art and I hope he shows up in future magazine releases again.

All our chapters are completely uncensored, and unlike other pay for sites, we are legit and the money is going to the people who help in the long line of producing the chapters into being, from the English translators to the original Japanese artist.
Romana FAKKU Letterer
I think all the past chapters have been translated (that we at Fakku have the rights to). What takes the longest are the editors, such as myself, who take the translation and edit it all onto the raws. Magazines released since our official site release have priority over the older magazines.

Recently I've read two works on here that had Loli and Shota in it. I really really do not want to read that stuff. Thing is they weren't tagged as having those. Now I get no tagging system will ever be perfect and things can slip through. But if we got the choice to have that preview page where all the pages are laid out would be really nice cause then you could scroll through and make sure none of that's in it.

I'm sorry to hear this has been happening a lot. I'm not sure what the development team has planned in terms of gallery view/page layouts, but we are trying to catch the controversial tags more. The process could use some improvements.

I personally feel that the amount of content released daily is not enough to justify $12.95 a month. If the fee was around 7-8 dollars a month I'd gladly pay that.

Here is a question for you. Have any plans to add video content into the subscription? If so, that would change my stance on paying $13 a month.

I'm sorry you feel that way, but if you don't think you're getting the value for your buck then nothing can be done about that. Keep in mind that you are getting 2 magazine's worth of hentai a month, each magazine costs over 6 dollars each in Japan. On top of that you have a staff working full time to translate and reproduce it for an English audience. uncensored, as well as pay the licensing fees and the original creators.

We wish we could offer it at a cheaper price, but this is really as cheap as we can currently go. This is the industry price to produce this much material.

So what ? A given artist isn't allowed to be popular and make more profit on his/her skills ? Bonuses are forbidden ?

Newbies artists will already have the subscription fees. It's all in their hand, to work their ass so they get even more through individual consumers purchases as well.

If people feel to encourage their favorite artists, so be it. You don't buy every mangas just to read One Piece or Naruto, right ? You might subscribe Jump or whoever publish those, and/or just buy the tankoubon volumes. The same with hentai : people may as well subscribe Fakku and/or buy content they feel to purchase.

Let the artists be(come) popular and get even more money as well.

That's it right there. This is a magazine. You can't just buy the individual Naruto chapter out of a monthly Jump issue. If you want just the Naruto, you have to buy the separate tankubon that comes out months after that chapter shows up in the magazine. Magazines are promotional tools for the eventual product - actual tankobon and products released with them.

If we go A'la carte it won't and can't be for quite a while due to contracts and rights with Wani. If you really want to show your support until then, feel free to comment on and follow your favorite artists on Fakku (the artists do have access to our website to see how their work looks and is received), follow them on twitter and whatever social media they may be on, and buy their tankubons.

Art and story. I read it for the stories! Honest. But yeah, if there's stellar art with an artist, or I really love how he draws girls, i'll add them.

And if it's not what I usually like, but makes me laugh a lot, I totally add it to my favorites so I always revisit it in the future.
Romana FAKKU Letterer
I believe this month's upcoming Kerorin chapter from X-Eros could very well fall under that category.

Hi everyone. Just thought I'd properly introduce myself. The name is Aila, or Romana as you'll see me on the forums. I'm working on the magazines and am loving every minutes of it.

Some of my favorite artists so far as Hamao, Tesshin, Gujira, and Nishi Iori. And umm... I grew up adoring CLAMP? The more fantasy or sci-fi based, the better.

Anyway, I look forward to helping produce more stuff for you guys to enjoy!

I really wish we did have enough time to do all the sound effects, but sadly as stated, we have to quickly turn out these chapters, and basic sound effects were the compromise. We'll always translate what's in bubbles, and the translator makes sure that something relevant to the plot isn't missed. Outside of that sometimes we'll try to throw in a couple here and there if there is time to spare, but if we spend too much time on them we tend to fall behind in working on the next chapter. Color chapters can be especially time consuming since it takes longer in most cases to clean the sound effect first via repainting the art and then going over it, and that can take a while, where as something with a black and white chapter only takes a few minutes.

Our book releases will always be 100% in English though. I do agree though that a basic onomatopoeia page might help out in this sense. I like that idea.

The Hamao Flower Blooms at Midnight was my absolute fave. I'm not biased at all.

Seriously, not used to a hentai chapter that makes me gush over how cute something is. I'm liking this stuff.
