It is probably an attack from the moral majority declaring war on this website.Hentai perverts gear up for war.
I am going to raid a national guard armory to prepare for the onslaught. We need all the weapons we can find.
Anyways, I am not the only one. All we need is someone from an administrative position in Fakku to confirm this bug. After all, it might just be a bug that relates to only a few individuals.
There's really something wrong with the site.... right?
Alright, just recently I noticed that the website isn't functioning the way it should. I have tested it on Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Epiphany, Ubuntu and XP, and on different computers, and I have reason to believe that something is wrong.
1. The triangles by the "Images, Manga, Games, Videos" don't show any submenus anymore. Instead, a "#" appears in the address bar after the Fakku URL when I press the triangle buttons.
2. Website doesn't load completely, ads and other images are taking an unusually long time to come up.
3. Manga is not showing up on "View Online" mode
My Internet has been incredibly stable, and every other website loads up without problems.
Is there maintenance or something that I am unaware of? Or is there something wrong with Fakku right now?

It could be anything, just make sure everything is secure and plugged in within the computer (graphics card too if it uses external power). Unplug everything that is unnecessary outside the computer (usb drives, ethernet, etc.)
Then open up the computer. Make sure it remains off, and unplugged while you do this. I have had my computer mysteriously turn on when my hands were in it.
Scour the motherboard for the words: CMOS, CLTRC, Clear CMOS, something of that nature. it should look something like this: (its 3 pins, with a 2 pin connector on it)

I know it's really small, but all you need to do is shift it over one pin. Then boot! (ALSO, if it boots, set it back to normal, otherwise your BIOS settings will never save)
If you can't find it, or think its too risky, you see that giant battery in those pic's? While the computer is off, just remove it, wait a second, and put it back in. All you are doing is clearing the cache, which may be corrupted.
Give this a shot, if it doesn't work, its a problem with the wiring or the components.
If you are really stumped, give the computer a good jolt (tip it to one side, and hit it against the ground, not too hard). I have had mysterious failures, where I literally did everything, and just doing that fixed the problem instantly. Don't do this if you really love your computer, it can do more harm than good.
Computers don't stop working suddenly for no reason, so it's probably safe to say that something might have bumped it. Clearing the BIOS cache or giving the computer a good jolt may fix it, if you are very sure you have exhausted all other options.

They forgot every other time as well. Everyone knows well that Microsoft has terrible cross-platform support. Too bad OpenOffice lacks a few features that MS Office has, like citation support, tracking document changes, and a plethora of other things that I never use.
But I have a bug (so do many others) with my 2010 Beta where it requires me to 'configure' 2010 over and over again every time I start it. It takes a good minute or two of waiting until I am able to use Word.
Any come up with a solution to this issue?

Just snowed a lot here in Michigan, it looks like we got some 5-6 inches overnight.
Overall I don't really like the snow. It gets your feet wet, it can make you slip on the pavement, it makes it difficult to walk to class, and it's one of the worst hazards on the road. Because I drive a rear-wheel drive car without ABS, the snow is exceptionally treacherous.
On the other hand, it's pretty to look at and fun to play in if that's your thing.
I wish the snow would just disappear right now.
btw: For those who have never experienced snow, it's cool to have snow for a short while, but it lasts the whole season, and only becomes a hazard and a nuisance when you have to go outside.

Someone filed a lawsuit claiming false advertising on part of Comcast. They claimed to have "high speed internet"; however, when people downloaded with Bittorent clients, they received reduced (and sometimes even blocked) speeds. This was because Comcast intentionally throttled Bittorent users, which is apparently illegal according to this lawsuit.
If you have ever used a Bittorent client and use Comcast, you are eligible for $16 of this settlement, but only if you submit a claim at this website:

BTW: You will need to know your Comcast account number!

Competitive environment gets things done. Here at the university, I have to at least perform above average to get decent grades. When I see everyone doing better than me, it causes me to attempt to study more, and thus do better. If it isn't a competitive environment, where I don't seek to gain something over my peers, I will obviously work with less fervor.
The same goes for counter-strike. I tend to try harder when playing against players than if I am playing against bots.
Generally trying harder causes an improvement in results (you do better under pressure), but for some, too much stress caused from competition can have a negative effect on performance. It's all about how you can deal with working under pressure.
For me, I tend to do better in a competitive, pressured environment.

No need to reinstall anything.

Download this:
http://rapidshare.com/files/195162237/ChaosHead.exe
and put it in your Chaos Head folder. Backup the original .exe, and then replace it with this.
This should fix your problem. I completely forgot there was a crack.

It says (the text in Japanese that is) that you should put the right cd in and play it (I think), have you cracked the game properly? Thanks for the translation of the error message.
Do you have the CD in or the image file mounted in DAEMON Tools (or alcohol)? The game doesn't really require a crack if I remember correctly.
Just adding, I don't remember if it uses a crack, but since I got it myself and do Not mount the iso when I play it, a crack seems like a possibility.
You are probably right, it's been so long since I installed it, but I think I remember a patched .exe file or something with the patch.

Did you set the setting for non-Unicode programs to Japanese?
Go in Regional and Language Settings
Click on the farthest right tab (if I am wrong, just try all of them)
Then check if the language setting for "Non-Unicode Programs" is set to Japanese.
If not, set it to Japanese.
Enjoy your game.
Warning: This makes some programs run in Japanese (like Apple update etc.)
If you have already done that, I don't know what could be causing that error.
EDIT: BTW I have had the same error due to that problem with Chaos Head.

Did a quick google, this is what I found:Start -> Run -> type "services.msc" without quotations
Select "DCOM Server Process Launcher"
Right Click -> Properties
Change Startup type to Disabled
Click on Recovery Tab
Change all failures to Take No Action
That will not solve the problem, but it will prevent the symptom (restart). Also I am not on vista at the moment, so I have not tested this will work.
If your laptop can handle vista, it can certainly handle win7
Turning off DCOM is bad, as my sound system runs through that.
I am going to reformat and upgrade to win7 32-bit home premium this Saturday. Can't wait!
Why not 64-bit? Running on a processor incapable of 64-bit processing or below 4GB of RAM?
I am not pushing you to get 64-bit, but if your computer has 4GB of RAM, and a x64_x86 processor, then you should really consider getting 64-bit.
But since you didn't provide specs, I don't know what would be best for you. 32-bit is probably better in your case I'm guessing
Alright, in Ubuntu, just go into the Ubuntu Software Center or Synaptic Package Manager and get the Beta release of Wine. Also download Play on Linux & Winedoors will help with compatibility.
Then you need to get a lot of crap installed (Direct X, and TrueType fonts etc) to make sure everything works right. I followed this guide to get most of that done:
http://www.overclock.net/linux-unix/504370-how-linux-gaming-explained.html
wget http://www.kegel.com/wine/winetrick
sudo apt-get install cabextract
sh winetricks vcrun6 allfonts allcodecs dotnet11 dotnet20 directx9 comctl32 comctl32.ocx fontfix mfc40 mfc42 msls31 ole2 pdh urlmon wininet native_mdac
If one fails, just keep going, do not ruin the installation process.
Also! It doesn't tell you but you will need to configure WINE afterwards by going in the menu, clicking 'configure wine'. Then at the bottom it should say Windows 3.1 or something. Change that to XP or Vista or 7, whatever gets your games working.
Use this website to check if the game is supported (many hentai games aren't in it yet, but that doesn't mean they don't work)
http://appdb.winehq.org/
Then download the .iso's and then right click on them and run 'archive mounter'.
Now they are CD's in your 'Computer' folder, go there and enter the CD's. Look for something that looks most like a setup.exe or autorun.exe, right click on it and run it in Wine.
It will install and appear in your Wine/Programs folder in the 'Applications' menu.
At that point, run it, and pray for it to work. It's all hit or miss.

If you can, do not download it from the link, but install it using your Distro's package manager
Make sure you get the "latest development release", and not the stable release (you want the newest version).

I can't guarantee that all the games will work, but most should.
Now, tell us, what Distro are you using? (Ubuntu, Arch, Fedora, FreeBSD, Mint, etc)

How exactly is Taiwan independent? lets see:1. has own government? NO
2. has own military? NO
3. Is recognized by UN as a country? NO
So the answer would be NO, they are most decidedly not in any way independent (though they would like to (and passively trying to) I guess..)
Unfortunately they do have their own Government,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic_of_China#Government
They do have their own military,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic_of_China_Armed_Forces
However it is true we provide weapons for them.
And there's a legitimate reason why the UN doesn't recognize Taiwan as a country:
Wikipedia wrote...
The PRC regards the ROC as an illegitimate state; it seeks to unify Taiwan with mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau and is ready to use force if necessary. This tension between the two states colors most the political life in Taiwan, and any attempt at declaring formal independence is met with threats from the PRC.[14] The PRC refuses to have diplomatic relations with countries which recognize the Republic of China and vice versa by the ROC; thus as of 2010, only 23 have formal diplomatic relations with the ROC. They are independent, just not formally due to reasons above. Don't make statements that you can't back up without proof.
Therefore, it's safe to say that Taiwanese computer products won't be like their Chinese counterparts.
Wouldn't trust Lenovo laptops for obvious security reasons:
http://www.itworld.com/security/95398/can-you-trust-chinese-computer-equipment
Basically an Article on the Chinese government's involvement with bugging Chinese computer equipment. If this is true (which it is to some degree, but saying that all of our computers Chines have this is ridiculous), then that means the Chinese govt. or others might have access to your files, saved passwords, and even credit card info from online purchases if you own a Chinese manufactured computer.
Taiwanese laptops should be safe (because of their complete independence from China), but my Dell Studio XPS 13 might have been produced in China.
It's just a thought to keep in mind if you are purchasing Lenovo, or any Chinese manufactured laptop, and trust me, there are a lot of those (remember that most of our computer parts are made in China).
Personally if I could trade in my Dell Studio XPS 13, I would get this:

Firefox is the tank of browsers, with a shit load of add-on but it's slow as fuck. Most of the time, I use Chrome. It's faster, but it doesn't have many add-ons/extensions. Opera is also pretty good.
I wonder when Mozilla will optimize Firefox in the near future to compete with Chrome. They could easily overhaul the engine and get rid of a lot of unnecessary junk which slows Firefox down, and since it's open source, they could easily make it happen.
It looks like the open source browsers, Chrome and Firefox already have a majority of the market share, which shows that closed source browsers can't really compete (on a consumer level) with the open source giants which are taking the market.
I still support Opera though, its always fun to cheer for the underdog. Just discovered recently that you can use your computer as a web server through Opera (they actually publish your website under their domain no strings attached!).

Why did I get +rep for such a simple post? I am amazing I guess.Wow 33/32 what a close poll.
There should have been a 'Both' option, and I bet the results would have been very different.
Though it is a close poll, but it's not that surprising, students often use laptops, those who don't own their own computer often use a desktop (often shared by the family) although they may use laptops occasionally, and computer enthusiasts and gamers often use desktops.
It appears (at least from the results of this poll) that the Fakku demographic is quite divided, but unfortunately we cannot determine the percentage of those who use both a laptop and desktop, like me :(
