They say it's dangerous, but that is because if the power is disrupted in between motherboard BIOS installation, the computer might never recover, and never start. Make sure your laptop is connected directly to a power source, and not running on battery power.

Wow... quite perplexing. Dreams themselves are never clear, probably because the part of our brain which governs the rules and laws (our realization of patterns, and utilizing them) is less functional when we are asleep. But yours seems like an interesting case, I must say. I myself have had consecutive dreams, but they were only one or two.

I for myself, have not ever died in my dreams. It is probably because I can't imagine (and visualize) myself dying, I have never been in such a situation. I get really close, but either the dream ceases (goes black or changes scenes completely) or I wake up. Strangely the same goes for sexual dreams too...

I have had one dream that perplexed me though (and still does). There is this one girl I knew in high school which I hated, and was not very attractive at all. I hated her because she would always do better than me in band, and that made me look bad because she was an entire class below me, and she was a snotty honors student who got 4.0's in all her classes. This dream has to deal with how she was chosen to be section leader, and not I.

And so one time I faintly remember in one of my dreams I was arguing with her (probably because of how my band director defended his appointing her to section leader), getting really pissed. I sincerely wanted to just kill her then and there, but I broke up in tears. I sat there, crying, because I was so angry, and yet, unable to do anything. I wouldn't ever harm anyone for something so selfish, and it would not resolve the situation. Apparently there was a mattress there, and I just lied down on it in the fettle position, crying (Man I was such a wuss). Then suddenly her mood changed, she embraced me right then and there. She comforted me, saying that it wasn't my fault, that it was hers, that she doesn't blame me, that she didn't want to hurt me, that I could be section leader, that she didn't want to deprive me of something I really wanted. She wiped away my tears, and smiled in my face. She appeared so beautiful, despite what I thought of her originally. We held each other on that mattress, I sincerely felt a connection with her I never had. We lied there, she was wiping the tears from my eyes. Then I woke up.

I remember I woke up, and didn't really remember the dream. I just felt really warm inside, like I experienced a really emotional event, but didn't know what it was. Then my mother answered the phone, handed it off to me. It was her.... once she said her name, I remembered the dream completely. This was the first time she ever called my house. I remember distinctly pausing after she said her name, and stuttering, but trying to leave the dream out of it. She called for something completely unrelated, just asking me to arrange a time for some band event, because I was leader by seniority. However, it was a real odd coincidence that she called right after I had a dream about her.

I continued life as usual. Eventually, the dream's effect wore off, and I started hating her again. However, after this, I realized the emotional power of dreams, especially for changing your feelings for a person.

If I were to go to heaven, I would create another life for myself, real as can be, so I may live again, and be an entirely different person.

Some earlier comments got me thinking. Although I am not really a true Catholic, it just chills me when someone says "I believe there is nothingness after life" Will our minds just cease to function? Will we just plunged into an eternal unconsciousness (like that of if you were frozen) and cease to dream or think at all?

So what will happen? Nothingness? Really? Our consciousness will just disappear forever? Do you think the body is the person, or are bodies the extension of the person within reality? I think that consciousness is detached from our bodies, and merely our (what you call souls) can be found outside what we know as reality. There is a difference between biological function, thought, and consciousness.

Beliefs in the afterlife exist only because people believe consciousness transcends the body.

There are pre-built gaming computers, but nearly all of them are over $500, and ultimately too expensive to buy. The best thing to do is find someone who has built computers and ask him to help you.

I laughed when I read this while cringing inside. However, I agree with other posts, animals are animals. Why be prejudiced against animals who appear furry over those that appear fleshy? Animals are animals, and almost any animal can be food. All animals (maybe not sponges) harbor emotions and feelings, so why favor some over others?

I wish I could really help ya, but its really hard to find really good deals on things like these. Black Friday deals are long and gone.

EDIT: However if you play maple story, and don't plan on playing WoW or CS:S, Half Life 2, Dragon Age, Oblivion/Fallout 3, then these laptops would be overkill for your needs.

Well, for $300-400, its not easy finding a good computer. Can you possibly reuse some parts from your old computer (hard drive, RAM)?

The Acer Aspire Timeline is the best college utility laptop, with a shitload of battery life and fast DDR3 RAM. The processor is a little slow, but personally if I was going to get a school computer, this would be it. Don't expect it to run CPU intensive programs (audio converting, new games) with too much grace, but its dual core processor can handle old games and anything that isn't too CPU intensive.

The most powerful overall (and most expensive) is the ASUS Pentium Dual Core. If you get that, you will get a modestly responsive computer with the intel 4500HD. Don't expect it to game much, new games will be out of the question.

The MSI Wind is small and cheap, with enough power to run basic applications.


Hope this helps, and this is just a preliminary selection. Try looking for some laptops yourself on different websites (TigerDirect, Ebay, Best Buy, etc.) $300-$400 is a very difficult range for attempting to find laptops, but if you can't spare anymore, it's fine.

It probably cost around $900, possibly more, possibly less.

However, remember his graphics card is the Intel x3100. It is weaker than the 4500HD.

Personally I don't like the plastic version of the MacBook, I would rather go with the newer aluminum unibody MacBook Pro.

Somehow, I have gotten a good feel for the keyboard and mouse, and I can't quite let go of it. Even though I played consoles in my youth, they were replaced by the PC. Shortly after building my own gaming rig, I realized my hands can't handle a controller anymore.

One day playing Warcraft III, in an anime based clan, Nanoha Fight Forever, I was asking where would be a good site to find hentai. Some guy just suggested it, and being cynical as I always was went here with ideas that this wasn't going to be too much better than what I have already seen.

No but really, $50 for me would be too much to give away to someone I don't know. Of course he would be thankful, but what would he do with it? Of course he could buy a week's supply of good food, but he could also buy several bottles of liquor too.

If you ever has seen the film Gattaca, you would know its a film about how humans found the way to alter the genes of a person, making them live longer, be stronger, faster, and smarter than normal human beings.

There will come a time when the Human Genome Project will hit a goldmine and discover what genes govern strength, intelligence, and lifespan. However, were a long way from that, and even if we found out, we would not have the technology to alter those genes in order to suit our needs

I brought an iPod with some downloaded songs through security fine. They don't check your electronic devices you have on person. It's not like such songs are a threat to national security or wildlife.

You don't have to declare digital information. They will ask you to fill out a customs sheet, declaring what you are bringing (in terms of goods/ physical things) into the country. Things like plants, food, and some other things will be confiscated.

They are airport security, they won't report to the record companies that you downloaded some songs.

Maybe things are different for non-US visitors, but you shouldn't encounter a problem.

I mean, I do it sometimes. If I am looking at hentai or just some ecchi stuff, if someone walks into my room, I try to conceal it because of embarrassment. It's natural, and I should really share more of my hentai. My roommates don't even know I look at hentai.

I remember I used mininova a little bit, and it worked pretty well. Right now I am on a university campus so I cannot download anything without them knowing, they even send me an e-mail if I start a torrent application. No more torrents for me.

There's a way to get past the safeguards if I use an encrypted VPN, but then I am downloading from the Netherlands with speeds maxing at 150kb/sec.
