They try to hide the stupid, needless to say they don't do a very good job most times.

I view most of his posts just so I can read all the angry bitching from everyone. Shinji is the type of person who doesn't give a damn about people flaming. I have a feeling he enjoys posting whatever he wants, and it's funny for most people to continuously attack him. If you watched a very bad youtube video, would you subscribe to that person's channel and then take the time to watch every single video he uploads just so you can dislike them? Just don't open his threads if you don't like them.I wouldn't be concerned that he is losing two to three reps daily. I'm sure he compared the rep system to a dick measuring system for twelve-year-olds earlier this year. Props for that, heh.
I can guarantee Shinji cares about rep and thus should care about how he is perceived, unless he can't see the link between his actions and reputation, which would be ridiculous.
To answer the other question admins can see rep logs but mods cannot. We have however asked if what shinji faced in the past was rep abuse and were told that it was not. I will not give you a number of days or rep which can be considered abuse as it's subjective and only the admins decide whether it is in fact a violation. I suggest you report a post where you are losing reputation if you believe your rep is being abused, we will direct the admins there if are unable to deal with it ourselves.

I think there is an ever growing number of Fakku users who are finding themselves indifferent, or even hate, the reputation system. I would like to think eventually we'll see permanent end to the worthless system. But at the very least, I doubt we'll see an increase in the popularity and usage of the reputation system and things involved with it. If something like mote mote were to happen that would change quickly, new users are always the biggest fans of the reputation system, they believe it has real value. I don't believe the system will ever disappear again, unless users began to abuse it far more than last time the system was taken down, most likely Jacob would just re-initiate the 48 hour rule.

I have four GIFs which are like 20kb each. There is no hard and fast rule, just leave it to the discretion of the moderators.I don't think it is unreasonable to come up with some kind of guidelines. There is surely a definable line in terms of physical size and memory that there is no reason for a user to cross. Granted it might be quite a debate to find said line, but I bet we could come up with a line that most people could agree with.
Why? Why not simply allow us to judge where that line is and deal with it as we see fit. I've told a few users who had a few too many gif files/too large a sig to spoiler/remove them/it. I don't know why this is an issue. If you feel a user's signature is too large and takes up too much load time simply report one of their posts and we'll decide whether you're right or not.
I don't think enough people are abusing the system to the point where we need to amend the rule, let's worry about actual problems and rules that need to be changed before we add new ones for the sake of having more rules.

I'm going to lock any thread you make, you are not someone to judge what the "best" will be.
Ah you're no fun :(
Is it bumping the supposed "best" IB thread of this year in question okay?
If you have to ask...
I don't understand you shinji, do you honestly think the things you post are funny? When a good 75% of the community wants you to contract to most painful strain of AIDS and tells you on a daily basis does it not occur to you that it might be time to take a break or even stop altogether? It's probably not that bad, my example was a bit harsh, but you must see some truth in it, right? You don't have to care what others think but it might be a good indication why you lose the rep that you do. (Just a reminder, it's a large number of users and not one who dereps you daily [different IP on all of the accounts as well]).

I should have been more specific, the post count will rise for lurkersyes.
mochure would not fall under the lurker rule, though, and was clearly talking about the current 400 post requirement for regular users.
Point? My reply was not wrong.
