Yep, well Under Dog looks like flashy-boom-bang for now but I'll keep tabs on it for the heat it's drawn.

XBlaze Code Embryo the prequel to Blazblue: Calamity Trigger, well I played the demo available on PSN. Which should automatically set off warning bells that this is non-h.
I wonder why I put myself through this soul-rending anguish sometimes. Then I remember that this was made by the guys who did Blazblue, who either made a game series that is the pinnacle of obtuse storytelling, refreshing character archetypes and climax or are complete idiots who do not tell the story because even they don't have their own plot figured out and are busy playing musical chairs with their slightly creative characters to buy time. That element of tiptoeing the line between prodigy or dunce is what makes Blazblue entertaining, because its story has a tendency to act completely unpredictable but remain valid.
So back to Xblaze. My first thought is that this is really generic, with the protagonist being the only sensible person in the lot but being oblivious to everyone, there is a whimsical best friend, a clueless housewife, a raunchy big sister and countless other boring stereotypes. Then they started hinting at things that people will recognize from the Blazblue series and those things are associated with child dismemberment, global extinction and tearing out the throat of a waifu with your teeth. Oh this is going to be a grand time.
All that craziness down the line aside, it has a gameplay system where choices in the game are made by the protagonist depending on what news articles you read on the protagonist's tablet. A clever way of melding together background story with progression and it's different/more immersive from just picking choices yourself rather than the character.
The art is gorgeous, sometimes Ark just goes TOO over the top with some of their character designs(google Makoto Nanaya) but I think this time they managed a perfect balance and it's really refreshing to see such variety in body builds when VNs of late have just decided to heartshape/slope their way through everything. Es is a particular favorite of mine.
Soundtrack is good, nothing really memorable yet but it's catchy and fits the scenes well.
I'm not sure how a person who is not familiar to Blazblue would take it, they would probably get the same sense of foreboding that I did when the hints were dropped but diminished. It's still a competent VN by itself and I would recommend it simply because Ark has an idea of what competent storytelling is and all signs point toward this title being able to deliver.
$39.99 on PSN currently. Too steep for me, will probably wait in anticipation for a couple months.

“There is no turning back if this game is released,” explained population scientist Akita Osamu, “Japan’s population is already under attack and Summer Lesson will be the finishing blow. It is already affecting Japan as we speak. I am currently single and I have already pre-ordered this game earlier today. I will die alone and that is perfectly fine with me and Nahoko which is the name of the girl I have chosen for Summer Lesson.”
“I will go down in the history books as one of Japan’s most influential people,” stated Harada, “I originally wanted Tekken to be more like Summer Lesson but without virtual reality, people were unable to view Nina the same way I did. Now people will know me as the person who single-handedly controlled all of Japan’s men. After all, it is either this or Tekken X Street Fighter and I would much rather destroy Japan than work on Tekken X Street Fighter.”
Such hype.
Eh game looks cool as an idea, it will hopefully set the standard for future simulator VR games.

Hmm, haven't played the arena series so I had to google some names in there.Arena series is fun, but not really necessary for Persona overarching storyline(if there is one). Mostly just giggling at cameos, so you aren't really missing out on too much but that remains to be seen with Ultimax.

Game announced on PS4get hyped.
And on Ps3, guess I'm still saving 400$ this year.
Protagonist is glasses-wearing-kun? And it seems like they are still trying to keep the world of reality separate from the Shadow's domain, but this time it's much closer(in fact with each game it seems like the worlds grow closer). Seeing as how people are frozen in time when that creature appears. That could make for some really awesome battle backgrounds like seeing a flight of birds stuck in midair or rain drops/splashes frozen.
They did Esdeath and Tatsumi's scene so well. Also Bol is amazing as expected. Had a good laugh.

BTw, playing Kantai Collection now... :PGoddamnit bring me with you, I've been hurting for that game since last year. Though I'm not to sure how much value I'll get out of it since I'm lacking a thorough understanding of Japanese or if it's even that good.
Apologies for my necrobumping.
I'm conflicted on whether or not I should buy Soul Sacrifice Delta(as I understand it's essentially the enhanced version) and I fell in love with what SS I played in the demo but I'm worried about how long the game will last me. Does anyone know how long it takes to complete(do all the missions, beat the story, etc.)?
I reeeeeaally want to play this but I'm hesitant to throw my money.

Aren't those alternate versions of current Nanako? She can be anything you want her to be. Now if you'll excuse me I'll be turning myself in to the nearest police officer.
Everything is so screwed up and I have the feeling that this isn't the worst yet.

Yeah, they added an "S"...so...wrong thread title.. :PI added the word new before Silent Hill meaning it's a new addition to the Silent Hill series, not the title of the installment itself. If any Silent Hill game before this one were named Silent Hills or there was no new before the word then you would be correct, but seeing as the title states that this is a continuation of the Silent Hill series my wording is not incorrect.
Spoiler:
FUUUUUUUUHAAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA.

Yeah, what I read mostly in forums that the "S" means it's going to have multiple worlds, and based on how different every LP'ers vids some even say that each gameplay will be different depending on the players action. It sounds like they're also taking reference from trailer gameplay and the trailer stated that it's gameplay is not representative of gameplay in Silent Hills. So I think not but the trailer also help set the mood for the new Silent Hill so meh, keeping an eye on it.

Though, all of this just makes me want to see who the new characters in Persona 5 are.Grown up Nanako
Spoiler:
NANAKO NOW LEGAL. 301/10 RATING, GAME OF THE CENTURY.
Ken might be cool, Fuuko too. Just people who haven't made cameos yet in the series would be nice to see, although they shouldn't do everyone since that just sours the deal.
Sometimes I wonder if some game developers in Japan just masturbate at board meetings and use whatever pornography they watched in that meeting in their new games.

So a couple weeks back an interactive trailer called P.T. was released and it was later confirmed to be a new installment in the formerly beloved Silent Hill series under the direction of Hideo Kojima.
I was thoroughly impressed by the trailer, but seeing as how it is a trailer I would rather pin my hopes on Kojima's taste for the obscene and experience. Here's hopes to a proper Silent Hill.
A couple of sites talking about P.T.

Some speculation on my behalf concerning the new Silent Hill, reinforced by other's views on P.T.
