how this is could be a good direct sequel to Fate/Zero. Sure knowing Fate beforehand is better but I think everyone can jump in right now and have a blast.Nasu talks about F/Z and F/SN
http://www.siliconera.com/2014/01/31/fatestay-night-co-creator-talks-upcoming-anime/
Well Nasu stated that he intends for the Ufotable remake to stand on it's own and be unrelated to F/Z(being an advisor who met with Ufotable staff weekly to supervise the project), the staff of Ufotable also agreed with him. It makes sense since it's difficult for a production managed by two different entities to become cohesive since the writing will be different and there could be inconsistencies in the portrayal of characters, as Nasu stated as well. Well it remains to be seen if what he wants is what will happen though.
Frankly I want to sit on what audience this adaptation is aimed at since this isn't even the first episode but right now I'd probably agree with the assessment that it's good for anyone to pick up, with fans probably geeking harder than anyone else. I know I did. Archer why are you so cool.
I found this and had to share it.
Spoiler:
Ufotable's pretty much got animation patted down for the scenes, if they keep this standard of quality I'll be pretty happy.
Episode 00 is the prologue of the VN added in the Realta Nua version(think Enhanced/All ages version). It's essentially a quick brief on how Tohsaka entered the Holy Grail War and it's a smart idea to start with this since UBW route is basically Tohsaka's route, so it's easier to transition to the REAL part.
That slightly honest Tsundere though.

I'll probably be asking myself constantly if this is a show for the fans or for people new to the series. I'm leaning heavily on the former though.

That's because she's a 4th Star?Wait what? I'm talking about the one with the visor(I probably should've said Taimanin not Asagi), if you are talking about the event card(2000 ranking and all that jazz) it's a demon.

I see you've done your readings, good.
I really don't think those fights were good and Fate/Carnival is a better example of how to make a series exclusively for the fans. Or deeper still Fate/Hollow Ataraxia is full of everything that F/K aspired to be as a provider of worthwhile fan-service.
Even F/E and many other Fate spin-offs made many obvious and direct attempts to stay related to the Fate universe and having experienced them myself I can say that it's no overstatement that F/K is related to the Fate series in only name(s).
Yes part of the reason why F/SN is an Eroge is because it helped boost sales but also because the sex also aided character interaction. After every scene where Emiya bedded Saber, Saber grew more to terms with her feminine side that she suppressed in her previous life as a man and she started gradually showing that in her actions towards Emiya. It's difficult to capture that adult relationships in the all-ages version where they had Emiya get eaten by a dragon instead.
I want to drive away the assumption that Eroge is solely meant for profit and satisfying one's libido. F/SN has a wonderfully rich story told from a man that clawed his way up to success to make some of the most iconic works in Japanese history. Nobody makes that deep of an impression in culture while thinking only of profit, he surely thought of the joy from sharing his work with the world. Eroge can literally be "a work that contains erotic content" rather than "a work defined by intercourse"(see nukige).
You are fine in keeping that opinion that businesses seeking a profit are justified to do so, but I'll stand by my belief that a production that goes for a safe means of raking in income by following such trends will only stagnate the industry as others follow suit and make the treasures of the entertainment industry rarer or (heaven's forbid) eventually nonexistent. I cannot condone an industry that furthers along the death of diversity.
I'm not quite sure what is left to add.

lol, I think her chance dropping is even smaller than getting a LR.
I got the Black Asagi on my third battle =p, she's pretty strong for a three star.

I think the series as a whole is just a nice little bonus gift for fans of the Fate franchise. As such, I believe that the source material is really nothing more than "more Fate" without any more intention to appeal to the hardcore otaku audience than to the fans of the Franchise. But, this anime adaptation shows pretty clearly that right now is the time to appeal to the hardcore otakus, since the moe trend is still going pretty strong, with only less than a handful shows each eason to really break out of current tropes.
With that being said, yes I agree that the anime adaptation is just another sign of the industry becoming less quality-focused, which might just end up to being just another nail in the coffin for this industry in the long run. It doesn't really stop me from enjoying it though, which is kind of a scary thought tbh.
If it's more Fate service then why is it THAT different? They literally could have made their own generic characters and there would be no difference to the series right now. In fact F/K wants to stand on it's own with it's half-assed attempt at making a story and practically abandons all attempts at servicing Fate fans in the later segments. The only reason F/K has Fate in it's name is because it wants to bait in poor Fate fans who still trust Fate even after Nasu stated he didn't want to work for Type-Moon on Fate anymore. Maybe even he saw what was awaiting Fate down the line, a gross misuse of a popular series to promote poor quality productions.
So animation studios should jump on the most profitable means currently rather than producing say, quality work worthy of any time? Prioritizing immediate gains over long term has always resulted in decline and the ire of the people suffering from that decline.
It should stop you from enjoying it, you should realize that the industry is insulting your intelligence by saying that this level of quality they want you to come to terms with.

added back because of that one message you sent me via the game. lol
I sent that message like 3 months ago hahaha. Anyways I think I added you, if not then I sent a request.
Maxed out Oboro, her H scene was some sort of faux-pas vanilla scene. Still don't like her.
I really want the new card in this event badly.
I checked the chance for a gatcha ticket to get an LR-it's .50% chance and 63% chance for rares...more than half of your tickets will be trash.

I'm hoping this will be a movie series.HF is the longest route of the 3 and trying to fit entire it all in 1 movie will not be enough to cover everything.
Glad to see UBW will have its own series!
It says only one movie confirmed thus far.
Man this lottery system is terrible. Cards you've already drawn in the lottery can get rerolled which effectively means that drawing ten gatcha is arbitrary since pressing the gatcha button nine times is effectively the same thing.
The only new card I got after burning 2 rare tickets, 10 rare gatcha medals and 50 gatcha medals was the amazon woman who references Dragon's Crown or maybe MH....frick I don't want this.

I've read the manga and watched the anime.
It is a series designed for a specific demographic but that doesn't change the fact that it's intentions, means and execution are just wrong.
It might be harsh of me to say this, but anime like this is what continues to ruin the industry and it's people. Even posting here to revitalize it's notice feels wrong.
I'm eager to hear someone prove me wrong, because the way I view F/K right now brings a heavily foreboding feel to the anime industry.

Granted it's brainless and the characters are boring, but the action is sweet and they nailed the badass approach.

Alright boys, thoughts on the patch?I have to relearn everything again about the map. Great.
Pugna ult now possibly worth getting early because all you need is a tranquils and suddenly the carry you are supporting has an infinite supply of HP. You could also counter a lot of powerful DoT effects that way.
Tinker got mega-debuffed. Can't do ancients, meaning it will take longer for him to turn into a global threat with Eblade+Dagon. Even then Eblast is a slow projectile now, so it's possible to dodge Eblade with banishes.
Bloodseeker is better in teamfights now with bloodrite. Although that doesn't stop retards from running in with the new bloodrage and healing the enemy carry.
Phantom Lancer is more fun to play for me, he's more of an offensive carry than the passive farming/split pusher old PL was. It's practically impossible to escape his illusions with Chargelot upgrade and everything else is amazing chase utility. He still gets wrecked by AoE team composition; especially with the removal of Phantom Edge's magic resistance. Even with the insane amount of immediate illusion generation PL, after you've burned Doppelganger your pretty much dead.
Bounty rune is good, makes rune contesting harder and now almost every mana-intensive support(especially offensive support) runs a bottle instead of a wand if they can spare the cash.
I want to try bouncing Shuriken for Bounty Hunter, dealing 325 damage to 2-3 targets is ridiculous. Hopefully give him that teamfight edge.
Next TI should be fun.

new loot cave?Probably not going to bother with it, once you get a full Legendary set(thanks to QW) it's not even worth your time. In fact I only went to the old loot cave for novelty and got a nice rocket launcher as a result.

So the agent of the nine is the biggest douche known to man. Countless hours trying to stack up on motes went to complete waste when I bought the exotic engram from the guy. Why? Well, the engram was for a warlock, and last time I checked the booklet HUNTERS COULDN'T EQUIP IT! Now I'm stuck without motes and it's not like an easy day to day thing getting them, so I'll have to add more weeks into this just to try replacing them. It's not like motes were useful for anything else though. The Speaker can only take them for cosmetics, wasting them on Xur at least means you'll definitely get something useful.
You can store equipment for other classes in your vault so you can use them when you play those classes later. I said I had three exotics but that's kinda untrue since I have a set of exotic Titan armor but I've not even touched the class yet. So while it does suck getting armor for a different class, farther down the line you'll be reaping the rewards.

should i give this a watch ?You don't lose much from giving it a try, it's not that terrible. I would highly suggest waiting for the uncut BDs though, since some scenes will be less confusing with the censorship removed.

Is this true?http://youngjump.jp/tokyoghoul/event/, honestly you probably should have just googled it. However if you are asking on if the manga is going to continue after that ending, I'm going to say "optimistically probable".
So after sitting around for an interminably long time and watching the anime again, I've decided that Tokyo Ghoul is probably average.
Spoiler:
I'm confused whether to hug it or slap it sometimes but I came out of this experience with Tokyo Ghoul vaguely pleased. So it's alright.

Queen Wrath missions are hard. I mean we had in our party of 3, me at 23, another at 25, and one at 28. Enemies were 24 and we all died 4-5 times. It almost felt like 4 to 5 shots killed you, and really need to be selective and smart on cover. .All Queen's Wrath missions come with a set of Mission Modifiers, much like Skulls from Halo they make the game harder/easier in asymmetrical ways. Likely you are getting boned by the Elemental Mission Modifier.
Every Queen's Wrath comes with an Elemental Mission Modifier which is the fun part about Epic missions. For example if the Solar Burn Mission Modifier is in play, all Solar damage will be doubled. This means that all your enemies that use Solar damage (Goblins, Hobgoblins, etc.) will do twice their regular damage, suddenly a single Goblin is capable of downing an entire team. However, Elemental Mission Modifiers work both ways meaning that when you do match the Elemental critique with a class ability/weapon and you get precise shots(hitting the enemies weak point) you can do up to four times the normal amount of damage. Not counting the absurdity of Sniper Rifle crits or point blank Shotgun shells. I beat the final boss on Destiny alone with an HMG in under 5minutes, I literally blew away 1/6 of the bosses health with each round. I like the Elemental Mission Modifier because while you can easily blow away a boss, a creep can catch you unaware and kill you without warning.
Every time you start a mission or enter a Darkness Zone, right above your HuD a brief list of the Mission Modifiers active in the current mission will appear. Keep an eye on those and plan accordingly is my suggestion.
I have three exotics thanks to Xur how about everybody else?

....I don't think ZnT is awful, I think it was entertaining but I don't see why there are 10/10s when this is clearly far from perfection.
I really don't think ZnT was THAT good, I mean sure some parts were very entertaining but the stagnation of suspense, plot holes and some questionably shallow characters made this show unbearable at certain points.

Urobuchi Speaks about the final episodehttp://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1275457
Basically he's saying that's not his work. All the characters and plot progression went totally different from Urobuchi's plan.
Spoiler:
I tried the loot cave yesterday, I agree with the statement that it's pretty much the only reliable way to farm legendary engrams without a fireteam. Destiny possibly tries TOO hard to encourage cooperative play.
Edit: Lol now they do Queen's Wrath event and it's guaranteed(or at least very good chance) to get Legendaries from Queen's Wrath missions which are unlocked only after you do a certain amount of Queen's Wrath bounties. Going to be swimming in Legendaries after this week.
