Regardless of the unemotional state or rather the difficult to discern emotional state of Inaho, you are correct that having him do something wouldn't have been a bad idea. I was supporting the fact that he fired second was all, not defending the fact that the scene was done competently.

I feel like watching Inaho's face now because after browsing for images of his face, Yuki is right there are very small signs from his eyebrows and mouth of his emotional state

Inaho's rifle was already pointing at the Sky Carrier's wing during the conversation. I don't see what is wrong with Slaine intentionally missing his shot, as supporting evidence if he fired with the intention to hit Inaho the explosions could send his Sky Carrier into a perilous spiral from the impact. There's also the Deucalion which would probably squash him like a bug after killing Inaho to deter him. Perhaps you should dismiss the assumption that they fired simultaneously.

Not necessary to show that(since you can fill in the blanks yourself), but it would've helped. They could've cut out time from the scene where Slaine was running from the Terran Kataphrakt for his journey(physically symbolizing his loyalty) or Asseylum's talk with Inaho in Princess 1(assuming that Slaine isn't going to follow Inaho's words to heart in season 2, massive casualties result in cease-fire), but that's something they should spend time in season 2 to reinforce if my predictions are correct.

Partially it's just for the bamf and to symbolize his change(so it can be considered a convenient device), although many theorize it's because he's related to special investigator Arima or that high-class cannibal ghouls will get white hair after cannibalization. Furthermore the classic description of a Ghoul is a cannibal with a pallid features or a form of semi-sentient undead.

Slaine also stopped trying to kill Saazbaum in the dining hall after hearing of his motive behind starting the conspiracy. Which is also proof of inconsistency, but if Slaine was thinking then(which he probably wasn't) killing the lord of the castle while still trapped inside the castle makes it difficult for him to escape(especially since Aldnoah powers down on death, alerting all the personnel onboard while also disabling their security?).

Inaho does not hate Martians, he stated that in the finale. Rayet was in no condition to take aggressive action against anyone besides herself after choosing not to shoot Asseylum, Inaho reasoned that there was no need to add to the body count especially when she could be a promising ally and even if she isn't cleared for active duty(as her detainment later showed) having her imprisoned is preferable to executing someone in front of his waifu. Inaho wanted to judge Slaine's reaction after he was acting incredibly obstinate about Asseylum and Slaine pointed cannons at him, which prompted Inaho shooting him. One could argue that Slaine fired a warning shot because he completely missed Inaho. The rivalry between Inaho and Slaine felt pretty lackluster and convenient to me so meh.

Slaine saving the Count was good, it was based on the weakness of Slaine to worship/sympathize those with strong motivations and if Asseylum would die like Orlane did Slaine knew he might do the same thing having almost experienced what he had(well he's going through that right now); perhaps Saazbaum knew those facts as well and exploited him. It also taught Slaine to never show mercy to his enemies which lead to the death of Inaho.

Yeah I'm actually wary of Inaho's death, but the scene felt good enough for Inaho's death and Slaine as an MC to replace Inaho segues well into explaining Dr.Troyard/Heaven's Fall for season 2. Inaho is hard to replace though, especially with all of the Terran characters. I feel like Slaine was going to kill Inaho anyways. The way he looked at Inaho while he was crawling towards Asseylum was fairly ominous, perhaps he blames Inaho for taking Asseylum from him which lead to her death(he was there to watch Asseylum slobber over Inaho). Slaine is a pretty terrible person despite his initially disarming appearance.

1. Didn't realize that, pretty funny actually.
2. Inaho's lost a close friend of his(not that I really cared), so iffy.
3. Slaine pointed his cannons at Inaho first after Inaho provoked him.
4. Inaho suffered some pretty severe injuries before his death, so it's expected for him to react slower. I had the feeling he was expecting to die at that point too, his smile was fairly bitter and he probably knew he wasn't going to get anything from shooting Slaine. Surrendering or buying time for Yuki to rescue him would've been better.

I felt like Inaho got progressively sloppier as the series went on and I totally blame Asseylum for that(as Inko and Yuki pointed out). He probably would have just shot Saazbaum when dueling him(assuming he did not go fisticuffs because he wanted to avoid his leg-mounted launchers or exploit his temperament) if it wasn't for the fact that he wanted to humiliate Saazbaum for insulting and threatening Asseylum's idealistic dream of a peaceful resolution. That sloppiness costed him everything.

If Inaho is still alive I can't wait for Inko to try and fill the void that Asseylum left. It will be hilarious watching her die for unreciprocated love.

Aldnoah drive usage passed on through fluid transmission confirmed? Only way I think of why Slaine could use Tharsis.

Assuming that some of the characters that die today do not live on in a vegetative state.

Asseylum's false deaths were to establish dummy plot armor for her, so when the moment came that she did actually die people would not expect it.

Why did Slaine kill Inaho? So that there are no witnesses to Asseylum's death for the sake of his plan to cause Vers and Earth immeasurable suffering to pay for their crimes. It's delicious irony, he's exploiting Asseylum's death to bring about a catastrophe when he swore vengeance against other that would exploit her for that reason. Slaine's actions in the future will possibly destroy humanity but avenging Asseylum is now Slaine's sole reason for existence. "Fiat justitia ruat caelum", "Let justice be done though the heavens fall", justice must be carried out at any cost.

Inaho's last moments. As Yuki said Inaho adored Asseylum so despite his realistic approach to life, Inaho kept smiling and refusing to believe her death, thinking back to how they fondly spent their time together and that the end to those days must be impossible. So he crawled to her side, desperately believing in her until his death. Meanwhile Slaine unknowingly killed one of the few people capable of sympathizing with him and never had the chance to even talk to Asseylum before setting out on a path to destroy everything she worked for, furthermore her last thoughts were of Inaho not Slaine.

Saazbaum spared? Maybe, perhaps Slaine wants Saazbaum to see firsthand what he will do to his wish for prosperity to Vers before killing him.

Slaine ended the Childhood Dream that day, now the real fun starts.
