The fuck? while FMA s2 is great news that line disgusts me... I have yet to come across any dubs that are better than or atleast come close to the original. English voice actors sound weird in anime..

Why would you want a dubbed version?! Dubs suck, it completely takes the life out of the show.

Just want to remind you guys, it's NOT a SECOND SEASON, it's a remake story.

So, it's not a sequel, but a re-imagining?
Which studio is doing it, and where is the story going to go?

I have mixed feelings about this.
While I'm still definitely looking forward to it, the re-telling is mainly meant to correct the manga differences that started multiplying around the middle of the '03 version which makes me doubt whether the early parts will be all that interesting/fresh. I always loved the original series BTW and never felt that it needed tunning.
On the other hand, from what I've heard the latter parts of the manga still hold ample of unused potential and audio-visual upgrades for a great series are always a welcome addition.
As for what I know thus far ...
It's still a BONES production so I don't fear about the quality. The main voice cast and much of the staff are also the same (the voice acting for Lust changes though) but the director and writer are different (both participated in making the first FMA, serving secondary roles)
Time will tell about this ...

Different directors can make the sereis completely different even with a same plot. If it's a good director, he could probably improve the first segment even without the change in story. Let's just hope it's a good director. :)

He seems more animation oriented really though storyboard for the Bebop movie is definitely a highlight.

Looking forward to this new FMA story. I enjoyed the first one except for the fact that those asshole brothers left my waifu all alone. Seriously...Winry is their childhood friend and does so much for them, but in the end it feels like they don't care about her at all.

But yeah it does bother me that we have to watch from the beginning AGAIN. Whatever, it's worth it I guess. Hope this version fucken erases the other version off the face of the planet.

Full Metal Alchemist (the first one) was a 'train wreck' of sorts. Seeing as how the Anime was completely different then the Manga with few if any things remain in tact. I cannot wait to see this. Also English Dubs? Lmao my ass. I disconnect my cable cause watchin English Dubs of Anime on Adult Swim = Fail. Paying for Cable when I can goto hulu.com or something and watch it... Sure there is a quality difference but if you really don't give a fuck like I do, you'll disconnect your cable and just watch TV online.
26 Episodes of it does not sound promising... either they are gonna skip lots of the unnecessary parts of the manga (I haven't fully gone through the manga just yet still reading) or they are gonna alter it a lil bit. Seriously HSDK (History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi) was 50 episodes long which had covered 143 Manga Chapters... They cut out 2 segements of the story and it was still that fuckin long! The only thing is they made the fight scenes longer. You can't tell me 26 Episodes is gonna follow the manga just as much as the Original FMA did.

Then you sir have not watched enough animes. I can read and watch the entire 40 inch screen TV easily. It becomes natural once you do it enough. To be able to read while not having your full focus on the words... is that a skill we anime fans possess?
