So, what should I do now?

My mother - who is usually abusive the moment she feels pissed off - took a knife up over a trivial matter, after beating me with her very hands a few times. Only because it was late at night. All I said that I am turning my torrents on and then I'll go to sleep... that's when she lost her tiny ounce of patience and started abusing physically, and finally got the knife. I had simply put some water on the wound and well... that's all I did, really.

At the end of the day I got an inch long cut in my arm - perhaps a slightly longer cut? I'm not quite certain, I'm bad at measuring - I don't know how much I bled after that (but I was sure that I was bleeding before I slept), but after I woke up this morning, I saw some dry blood in the bed.


Is that something that a mother would do? Have parents did something like this? Do they even do that?

It feels like the world is shattering around me - and I have no idea what I should do about it.

Should I disregard it after considering the fact that this is a good experience or something? Should I be happy that I'm gonna be get scar in my hand? Or what?

You should kick her ass!...is what I'd like to say, but that's not really practical.
Its clear, however, that this is over the top. Calling some kind of protection society is likely to be ineffective, so the most pragmatic option I can think of is getting a relatively stable job, or the best you can get, moving out, and surviving on your own.

No jobs around your area? If its too far you can always use the bus or some other method to commute. Worst comes to worst, run some kind of online trade lol. Bitcoins, or something of the sort, to get some quick cash, which you can survive on for a bit, before you get a good job.

Do you have other relatives you can stay at?

Both my parents were abusive towards me throughout my years of growing up. The worst I've had was when my dad stab my hand and broke my arm. But once I moved out life seemed a hellovalot better. I'd recommend moving in with a relative or something if you don't want to call the cops and or fight your Mom.
(For me I had to live with the abuse till I was 19, but the bright side to all this is I've become a masochist to pain?)

It's not about that. I just couldn't find anything that I could do. I looked for a job or two on call centers via the internet, couldn't find any; they seem to be too demanding with the qualifications and such.

Not necessarily
Could be anger management problems, mental issues, lack of self restraint resulting in sporadic bursts of emotions
Could also be related to outside events, unwanted child, etc
