Blood-C

i think people have a right to compare it to Blood+, after all its in the same franchise, and fans of Blood: the Last Vampire and Blood+ have had high expectations for it.We wanted a show that followed the plot and weren't expecting a sequel. There's no government organization hunting chiropterans(The Red Shield) , there are no chiropterans at all. It's just Happy go lucky Saya who happens to be a shrine maiden that chases light and trips over...nothing o_o. when watching it i kinda got bored but i kinda blame the director. I mean c'mon!...who would hire the guy who directed shin-chan to direct an "supposed to be action show". it really doesnt make sense..

Well, even if it doesn't have something like the Red Shield. We've only seen two episodes of this. Things don't always make sense at the start or take away the boredom.

But i wish it at least lived up to my expectations. its too moe for an action series and both of the two episodes had pointless moments. Theyre taking it too slow for a 12 episode anime...

Of course you "can" compare it, but it's obvious that the people who are comparing them "too much" got blinded by the comparison and fail to realize that Blood C is a whole new "alternate" story that doesn't have anything to do with it's original, it's not a sequel it's not a remake, it's NEW series that uses the same them as the original, and most importantly It's not Blood+
Focus on the NEW part, not the part where "(something) doesn't exist in BloodC, so it's a trash"
They may call it chiropterans in the original, but they may call it "elder bairns" in this NEW alternate story. There's also possibility that in Blood C they will eventually encounter a chiropteran.
Points
-Not having a "chiropteran" =/= Bad
-Not having a Organization =/= Bad
-Not having a dark brooding story =/= Bad
and Have you ever considered that this is not in the same world as the original, but a completely different new world.
Why would they hire "Mizushima Tsutomu"? It's because he's been working with CLAMP with ALL xxxHolic series and Kobato and to be fair he only did the "movies" of shin-chan not the whole series. and once again CLAMP is the one holding the reins for the story.
you're free to dislike this because of it's own contents, but if you dislike it because it's not "blood+" that's a different story.
-It's honestly your own fault for having a very high expectations.
-this too "moe"? lol subjective~~~
-So, would you like it too rushed or too slow. This is not the 50 episodes of Blood+ and half of it was SLOW, even for a 50 episode title.

I'm only stating my own opinion about the show, and just because you like it, it doesn't mean you have to get all offended about people disliking it. Yes, I know it's a "new" series but its in the blood franchise so it's supposed to follow the original plot, which it doesn't so far. Also as fan of the Blood franchise, I have every right to compare, dislike, critic, or even talk about it! If I can respect the fact that you seem to be a clamp fan and enjoy the series. Why can't you just accept it when someone thinks differently than you?

And Like I said I don't care if you don't like it because of it's "own" contents, but I'll act if you dislike it because it's not "blood+" which is obviously not. Notice that I'm confronting people that only thinks about "Blood C not being a Blood+
. It's my one and only anime pet peeve.
You're free to drop this show and even ignore this discussion, and I'm free to disagree with you until you can understand that Blood+ is different than Blood C.
If Blood C was a "remake", I'll probably on the fan raging side with you right now, but it's not a remake. It's another "VERY" loose adapatation of the original Blood, "Very loose" that they only thing that's the same is only the part where a girl uses a sword to kill "man-eating" creatures.

i never said i disliked the show because it's not Blood+. I never typed that, nor do I think that way. I'm upset that the two first episodes of the series weren't good. Even without comparing it to the past series in the Blood franchise it still is boring and has too many slice of life moments. Saya seems way too perfect and happy. The things that happened in the episodes didn't really seem to have a point either, especially with her singing about everything she does. Her relationship with her dad is some what creepy, and her fights seem rushed. She's supposed to be a heroine but she hasn't saved anyone yet. I was really expecting a monster to appear when they were raving over Saya's bento.
Fans of the Blood franchise would not complain if the show seemed to be good. We're just upset that they added a show that so far seems pointless to the franchise. O_o I'm not stupid, so why would I hate a show because it's not blood+? Overall Blood-c is supposed to be related to the past Blood series, and if the only thing that's related is that her name is Saya, and she fights monsters with a sword then I don't see the point of adding it. They should of just left the Blood Franchise alone, I'm not dissing Clamp I'm just saying that no more shows should be added to the Blood franchise unless they decide to do another OVA and get the original studio to do it. I heard that they live action version of BTLV wasn't too good either, so they should of just stopped there..

Woah, easy there Kaimax.
(I finally got around to watching some anime after being busy with IRL stuff...)
Yes, I realize the only thing similar to Blood-C and Blood+ is a character named Saya that fights some kind of monsters. I'm not expecting them to be the same, as it was specifically stated this would be a separate story.
However, there are a few things that I find odd about the series so far, and I'm not comparing it to Blood+.
There's a few hints that something might happen in future episodes, but right now the story seems to be moving at a snail's pace.
Episode one and two are basically the same setup: breakfast, school, monster battle. We barely know anything more then when the series first started: Saya is a klutzy but extremely cheerful student that also goes home to fight monsters for some reason.
Again, I'm not trying to compare C to +. The way the story is being unraveled so far just seems really weird.
I'll keep watching this series, but I hope the next few episodes aren't more of the same thing.

So episode 3, I think I will stay with this series til the end. It's somehow a really nice change from what I was expecting. I think the fact that I treat Blood-C as a show by itself with no relation to Blood+ and Last Vampire in anyway (IE. I act like they never existed for the most part).
I don't wish to dwell too much on talking about Blood+ because the sum of all personal thoughts on it is that it was a really good idea with a horrible execution that left me with a bad taste by the end of it.
So onto episode 3 itself now
Quick question: Since CLAMP's working on this, is it possible that this series is apart of the CLAMP universe? I know the chances are astronomically low but still, it would be interesting.
Anyways, can't wait for next episode. Now if you excuse me, I have to go finish my Friday of anime.

Why not C ... this same controversy will spring up around the planned new Code Geass ... if it isn't going to have anything at all to do with the original, why choose that name. Both may turn out to fine series in their own right, but lots of folks see it as a cheap marketing ploy to simply draw people into something they might never have tried, based solely on the implied reference to the original series.

Well we can't call it "C" cause this exists

To my understanding anyways, Blood+ has as much to do with Blood: The Last Vampire as Final Fantasy 6 has with Final Fantasy 7. Blood-C exists because Studio I.G. doesn't really seem to want to continue the stories of each Blood. I predict that if Blood went on as a franchise, it would span six series, all of which have very little to do with each other.
As for Code Geass, I can't comment all too much. Somehow news of more Code Geass flew past me unless you are talking about the Gakuen Gaiden thing then we just don't talk about that.
Personally, the old fans can whine about how Blood-C is a betrayal to them all they want. I really don't care. And as I said, the chances that Blood-C actually counts as apart of the CLAMP universe can already be denied. It is of course apart of the Blood universe and nothing else. I just ask to see what response I would get but unluckily I wish I didn't as such a question now.

After watching the 3rd episode im starting to take Blood-C more as a slice of life show with action on the side.
[spoil]the very ending of the 3rd episode got my hope up for it being more about the action but seeing the previews for the 4th ep shot that hope down.
