I'm fairly certain it was written in a way for everyone to enjoy, long time Fans of the franchise, people who only watched Fate/Zero and newcomers alike.

That being said:

Well Nasu stated that he intends for the Ufotable remake to stand on it's own and be unrelated to F/Z(being an advisor who met with Ufotable staff weekly to supervise the project), the staff of Ufotable also agreed with him. It makes sense since it's difficult for a production managed by two different entities to become cohesive since the writing will be different and there could be inconsistencies in the portrayal of characters, as Nasu stated as well. Well it remains to be seen if what he wants is what will happen though.

Frankly I want to sit on what audience this adaptation is aimed at since this isn't even the first episode but right now I'd probably agree with the assessment that it's good for anyone to pick up, with fans probably geeking harder than anyone else. I know I did. Archer why are you so cool.

Sigh. Excellent quality. Faithful adaptation, which we can fairly assume will continue to stay. And all I can say is it made it more jarring how underwhelming was F/SN compared to F/Z.

Well, still in for the ride to enjoy Lancer's and Assasin's cool moments.

A little disappointed it's UBW... well, it's cool so... meh. Guess watching detailed events would be good.

I pray to the gods above that this show helps this season. Other than a few anime, this season's kinda dry.

It's UBW yo. Most GARest route of all.

I completely agree (within F/SN), but that doesn't change the fact that the story is unsatisfying overall. My enjoyment came mainly from individual events, but as a whole it's mediocre.

My dick, was so hard the entire time. It was like a pseudo Viagra on crack.

The Fate Crew is all together again once more. I was on the edge of my chair clinging to the hype that was sending chills down my spine. The music, the seamless animation, the Jouji Nakata, the Junichi Suwabe. Everything. I'm so fucking HYPE.

This is easily one of the best animated fight sequences, I have ever seen. EVER. It emphasizes the true terror of Servant versus Servant. Blows of strength completely incomprehensible to humans, speed completely intangible, it's absolute ART.

Edit*: After like the 30th time watching, might be just me but Saber looks super extra fucking dazzling in that picture. Might not mean a lot to some people but in the VN that's the impression of objectified beauty it describes Saber as to the moon

... Sheeeet, now I have to choose between downloading the last 2 Argevollen episodes or get episode 0 right away.

EDIT: Uhah, that was really good. Wished that the combat sequence would be longer, but that's definitely good enough for me.

Berserker is one of few "bosses" in a VN that gave me chills, high expectations for OP A+ stats all around next episode.

Yeah Nasu really loves the moon(as do I) for it's symbolization of a nigh unapproachable beauty. There's almost always moonlight whenever Emiya is watching the heroines.

People complaining about UBW and yet "begrudgingly watch it". Be glad it even exists guys, this is like a warm welcome after the train crash that was the UBW movie. Or at least I'm hoping it's a warm welcome.

To me UBW is simply the lesser of three already great routes.

Can't wait to hear ufotable's take on Emiya's theme. Actually there are many things I'm looking forward to in this series.

The important thing here is whether they can present Emiya's coolest heroism ever (well actually he's the coolest in Heaven's Feel, but that route is also dark as shit) in UBW.
