Interesting scene. Yeah the breast groping was pretty hot and it made me rage a bit. I loved the ending song. I was all like, "Ah, what a nice piano intro... Wait. That's in 7/4! Oh god, this has to be a good song" and it was a good song.
I'm going to agree with you.
Did anyone notice the quality/art change in episode 3? Also if anyone was watching gg's subs of ep 4, did you see this? What is it?

kinda disappointing, since almost half the story was a recap of the previous 3 episodes...I'm going to agree with you.

What are you talking about, 'light covering the grope'? I saw the uncensored version. Just look up [gg]'s subs. o_o;;Wow! I can't believe how far I went just to see Rei groped uncensored. I actually
downloaded DivX and all the extra shit that goes with it. But in the end it was so worth it.

From what I read different TV stations in Japan that air it censor different parts.
So some stations censor one part while one doesn't but there is not a fully uncensored version.

I can see no one reads my posts.
1. DVD version – totally uncensored.
2. AT-X version - Only the actual “headhits”, wounds and more grotesque stuff censored by black shadows.
3. “Normal” version (The version that you watched and the one HorribleSubs is using) – Black Shadows censor various stuff, fade-outs, etc.
4. “Friendly” version - airs later in the week – Panties, fanservice, gore, etc, censored completely
For comparison: http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2010/07/10/highschool-of-the-dead-massacred-by-censors/
Most of the well known fansub groups like gg, CoalGuys, and TMD use the AT-X version. While mostly uncensored, the gory stuff is still censored with shadows or complete black out.

wow, didn't know that, a censored version of a censored version, guess i was just lucky sticking with gg.
As for episode 4. it is quite a disappointment but having a clear detail about the time like [Z-day 1:33pm] gives a better view of how fast things gone up. I just wonder if [Z-year X:XX] will come. LOL
And as a manga reader of HotD, the anime doens't excite me anymore. I'm in despair

And since this show is already gory enough, the only people who complain about censoring are the ones watching the normal version.

Which is why people should watch anime from the best and not stream it using Horriblesubs or other subpar subbing groups that are not fansubbed.

As much as I have enjoyed the manga, episode 4 really made me lose alot of excitement for the anime (not saying its bad, but less ero and gore makes me sad). Does anyone know if there will be an uncensored version anytime soon?

Does anyone know if there will be an uncensored version anytime soon?Yes, When sentai filmworks releases it in north america it will for sure be uncensored.
But I wouldn't expect it until sometime next year since the anime isn't even finished
airing. They are also going to make an english dub of it so that will take some time too.

Watch AT-X version of HotD - it won't disappoint as it has the least censoring. Fansub groups that use AT-X: gg, CoalGuys, TMD
Given that the anime is going to be 1 cour (12/13 episodes), I don't expect too much in terms of plot development. It might have a second season, which would make sense for the somewhat filler material. (I don't consider it filler; see my previous post for my opinion on ep4.)

I believe I saw the image for a split second at the start. If I am not wrong, it could be the anime or show airing before High School of the Dead on AT-X, though I have no idea what it is.

Watched episode 4 today.
lol at the "Z-Day". Somebody was watching a lot of Shaun of the Dead before making this.
It has been as exciting as the last three, but was overall pretty solid. I liked how they ultimately took out that biker guy at the gas station. I honestly wasn't expecting Takashi to arrange the situation so that he could run up to the guy and shoot him-point blank to compensate for his lack of experience with a gun. Which is nice, because contrary to what media might tell us, not every firearm is an AK-47 and can be shot by even an idiot. Not to mention, it was done in pretty hax way. And leaving the biker to the zombies was a superb "poetic justice".
The only really annoying thing this time around was the teacher. They really overdid the "creepy evil" vibe which became "comically evil".
