I forgot to add Steins;Gate after I finished watching it when it had aired.
That really was a masterpiece.

I would have to go with:

Code Geass
Hokuto no Ken
Cowboy Bebop
Outlaw Star
FLCL
Trigun

There are many masterpieces out there, probably more than I could watch or list but for now I'll just say, close enough anything produced by Gainax and/or Sunrise. There are many I could choose from but can't quite pick out an over all masterpiece. I'll probably just stick with TTGL for now :)

FLCL gets my pick because for a 6 episode anime, it was really memorable and gloriously unique.
