Araragi is seriously taking the brother-sister relationship a bit too far.. more like borderline incest by now. But... Sinobu with a hat/enjoying donuts is probably the most adorable thing I've seen in a long time :)

On the other hand things have picked up their pace quite a bit. At least we get a glimpse of Tsukihi's immortality :)

Another pure win Shinobu episode

I can't seem to stand seeing Araragi getting pinned down looking pitiful... I thought he'll go to a rage and will be stop by Shinobu or Tsukihi but he was stepped on and madly barks with empty threats...

Remember Koyomi is the most human person at the end on this episode. Even if he can summon the tiny amount of vampire power he has left, Shinobu could kill him and these two seem to able to handle Shinobu. If Koyomi did anything other than yell at them he would be killed.

That whole donut chain of events was so cute. I've never seen a possibly immortal vampire act so human. I was half expecting Oshino to be in the donut shop but Kaiki was still surprising.

I don't think Tsukihi was born a phoenix, that is her existence isnt fake. Earlier Koyomi pinned her down because he noticed a scar went missing. The idea of the phoenix is that no matter how many times it is killed it will come back. I think one way or another a phoenix found its way into Tsukihi and is living in there like the cat in Hanekawa and rainy-devil in Kanbaru. Obviously brute force isn't going to kill the phoenix. I'm not great on mythology but I think the phoenix can be sealed away by doing some ritual. Since those two are in a similar line of work as Oshino, doing that should put Tsukihi in the same position as Koyomi, having a power that is so weak its harmless, and restore "balance".

It's not really filler if it was in the novels, you know? And I seem to recall novel readers saying that Shaft was adapting Nise at about the same pages-per-episode rate as Bake.


Even so, the plot didn't really advance. Mind you, it's cool to have comedy just to lighten the mood. The jokes were somewhat funny, but that toothbrush scene made me facepalm when it spanned over a few minutes which took up time. But I guess if you want to go for accuracy, as far as using pages-per-episode, by all means.

That was the first time I've seen Koyomi get pissed the fuck off. But it was still a curb stomp battle. I wonder if that man will up a level in badass...

For me, it's the VA. How can I hate that voice?

Anyway. I was kinda hoping to see pissed off Araragi kick some ass, or at least get to watch Kisshot slice those chicks up. But maybe I'll get to see it next episode instead.

I like how the anime picked up the pace. The last 2 episodes weren't particularly exciting.

Too bad that those two ladies don't see it that way. They don't think Tsukihi is even partly human. The only way I see Koyomi getting out of this is if he can find a way to break the bond Posed Look is under.

Okay, I just started this yesterday and just finished bakemonogatari the day before and I'm only up to episode 8, and I have to say that was the weirdest and sexist thing I think I've ever seen in anime. I was a little on the fence about this season, but I'm now totally convinced.

Am I the only one getting high and starts dancing along with Tsukihi on the OP? It's just so cute and her dancing compliments the tune so nicely.

That was a really philosophical ending. Really enjoyed it as well as this season overall. Too bad we didn't see what Shinobu actually did or didnt do to Yotsugi. 18 year old Shinobu, yes please. Will the DVD have the color cuts removed?

And now we wait for Kizumonogatari which will probably be subbed by..a month ago 2013 if the movie isn't released by July give or take a few weeks.
