Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai

Haha. I enjoyed episode 7 a lot, specifically because of Kirino and Ruri's arguments over who the better writer is. I really laughed when they both said that they included versions of each other in their novels that both ended up horribly. I was also a little bit surprised that Kirino's story got picked up so quickly.

I also enjoyed Kyousuke's and Kirino's outing to look for inspiration for Kirino's next work. I laughed when Kirino was trying to get Kyousuke to buy her something, because it was an adorable tsundere moment. I daww'd, however, when she got herself wet in order to show Kyousuke just how devoted she was to her work. However, I was a little bit confused: Did someone throw that water on her, or did she do it to herself?

Looking forward to next week's episode, which looks like Kirino's work is becoming popular fast. I'm wondering if it will really become a anime so soon. Bet Ruri will be infuriated if that's the case.

she did it to herself...to feel connected to her character and prove to her brother it is serious research...well she's actually crying because her brother keep on spoiling the mood and she did that to cover it up + research....

Ah, okay. I wasn't sure, so that's for clarifying that for me. And I figured that she was crying for her brother instead of her work.

While it was sort of the point of this episode, I still think it was too fast to develop the novel-turned-anime sub-plot that only started in the previous episode. There's nothing like a sister who comes home sick with worry and is completely ignorant that the person she is talking down to is the one who helped saved her novel from animated hell. Ignorance doesn't give her the excuse to do whatever she wants.

Also, Mr. Turtleneck was such a douchebag. To get impatient even though you knew ahead of time that you would be dealing with an excitable middle school girl ... jerk material right there. He's like a kid who his mother took with her while out on errands and he is constantly asking "Can we go home yet?" and is otherwise trying to be as obnoxious as possible. He would get points for honesty except he was only blunt when the author wasn't there and only while talking to a high school boy and a middle school girl. And the other members of the staff consisted of a "let's play nice" guy, a yes-man, and a director who can't control his own staff. Although, I didn't like how Mr. Turtleneck's criticisms were turned into "I'm just saying this because I'm jealous". Man, what a cheap way to turn around things that were perfectly logical criticisms.
